Alterist
We transform textile waste into upcycled fashion, connecting brands and designers through marketplace and collaborations.
We're looking for someone with PR or media relations experience who'd be happy to support Alterist by helping us spread the word about what we're building.
We've recently opened the Alterist Concept Store in London Fields – a space dedicated to showcasing emerging designers transforming textile waste into beautiful, one-of-a-kind fashion. Alongside the store, we're building a marketplace and community that's making upcycled fashion more accessible.
We're looking for someone who could help with things like:
- Sending out press releases
- Pitching stories to relevant publications
- Securing press coverage around the store, our designers and upcoming events
- Helping raise awareness of the growing upcycling movement
If you have experience in PR, fashion, sustainability or lifestyle media and would like to use your skills to support a purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

About This Role: Volunteer Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Remote
Commitment: Part‑time (volunteer, unpaid role)
Contribution Requirements: Minimum 10–15 hours per week; minimum 3‑ 6 months commitment

Summary of Role:
As a Volunteer Quality Assurance Engineer with us, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and user experience of Solution Community’s digital products. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to support smooth, stable releases. Your work directly contributes to building a platform that empowers global compassion and action.
What Will You Do?

Develop and execute manual test cases for web and mobile features

Identify, document, and track defects using internal tools

Validate bug fixes and support regression testing before releases

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure testability

Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes

Create and maintain test documentation, checklists, and quality standards
-
Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve user experience and product reliability
Who Are We Looking For?

3-5 years of experience with manual QA testing for web or mobile applications

Familiarity with test case design, defect reporting, and regression testing

Strong attention to detail and ability to think from a user perspective

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑moving environment

Preferred:
