Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and offline.
Roots Academy exists to bridge this gap by providing a structured and transformative Islamic education that speaks directly to the needs and challenges of young Muslims today, delivered in an engaging and accessible form that removes barriers to access and provokes thought and action.
Role Summary.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Podcast Producer to support the planning and delivery of the Firmly Rooted Podcast. You will be responsible for planning and booking studio recording sessions, managing post production editing, and working closely with the host and other team members to make this the no #1 podcast for Muslim university students.
Key tasks

Brainstorming, contacting and liaising with guests to appear on the podcast

Booking and preparing the recording studio for filming sessions

Recording the podcast in the studio alongside the guest and host
-
Cooperating with the host to plan the structure and topics covered in each episode
-
Coordinating research and brainstorming sessions to identify potential guests and topics
-
Collaborating with data analyst and design team to test and produce attention-grabbing thumbnails and titles
-
Uploading the podcast to our video and audio platforms
What we’re looking for

Passion for Islamic education and the development of young Muslims.

Some experience or training in video or podcast production.

Ability to travel to locations across the UK (Manchester and London) for recording sessions.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Spare Tyre Theatre Company are recruiting voluntary non-executive board members with a passion for participatory theatre arts. New trustees will be joining us at an exciting time for the company, as we implement our next 3-5 year strategy; prepare for our 50th anniversary year in 2027; continue our year-round programme of creative participatory workshops; and develop two new touring productions: What Will Happen to the Cat? and Vanishing Point.
Spare Tyre is one of the UK’s leading participatory theatre companies. We are an Arts Council England (ACE) National Portfolio Organisation and are an artist, disability and female led charity. We make inclusive arts and theatre productions, experiences and projects in arts venues and non-traditional arts spaces with people that are under-represented in arts, culture and society’s wider decision making. Built on nearly 50 years’ experience, our work is participatory, collaborative, immersive, taboo-busting and above all responsive to the passions and talents of the people who make it.
We are recruiting 2 – 3 voluntary non-executive board members. We do not require trustees to have specific experience in the arts, and are seeking to increase the experience and diversity of our board, particularly in the areas of:

Lived experience and/or a professional background working with people in the Care sector and/or people living with dementia and/or long-term health conditions

Key Accountabilities of a Trustee are to:

Act as ambassadors, champions and advocates for the organisation

Approve strategic plans, budgets, annual accounts and policies

Be willing to contribute your time and share your knowledge

Provide advice and support for the Executive team

Sit on committees and panels as required

Engage in the fundraising strategy and development activities wherever possible

Attend performances and other events by Spare Tyre and peer companies

Understand the commitment required to join the Board

Patient Information Forum is looking for a new Trustee with finance skills to join our Board. You could play an important role in shaping our future and strengthening our work.
WHO IS PATIENT INFORMATION FORUM?
The Patient Information Forum (PIF) is the membership body for people working in health information and support. We are the independent voice of UK health information. PIF runs the only quality mark for print and digital health information – the PIF TICK.

Access for everyone to personalised health information and support so that people feel enabled to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
We believe high-quality information is key to reducing inequalities in health literacy, and we are strongly committed to inclusion. We also tackle misinformation, helping people to recognise trusted, credible sources and tell them apart from misleading or false information.
IF YOU JOIN US…
You'll play an important role in overseeing PIF’s financial health and ensuring that the Board and senior team can make informed, responsible decisions.
The Treasurer’s role is to provide financial leadership and oversight for the charity. This includes reviewing, approving, and presenting budgets, accounts, and financial statements, as well as preparing and delivering clear financial reports to the Board.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a team of fellow Trustees who bring a wide range of professional experience.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for individuals with an accountancy qualification or equivalent finance knowledge gained by experience. You’ll have high levels of integrity and an eye for detail.
Previous trustee experience isn’t required, and you will be supported into the role through an onboarding and induction process.
We are particularly seeking someone to:
○ guide and advise the Board on the approval of budgets and annual accounts within current legislation
○ keep the Board informed of its statutory financial duties and responsibilities
○ commit to PIF’s, vision and goals. Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to transparency.
