What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 
• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  
• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
• championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

Director of Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships (Volunteer)

Commitment: Part-time (volunteer, unpaid role)

Summary of Role: As Director of Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships, you will play a crucial role in expanding Solution Community’s network of corporate allies. You’ll spearhead efforts to develop and nurture relationships with corporate entities that align with our mission and vision. In this role, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, cultivate sponsorship opportunities, and create innovative collaboration models that benefit our organization and our partners - including opportunities re: the development of corporate volunteer teams that build true partnerships with Solution and through our platform.

What Will You Do?

• Develop and Execute Strategy: Formulate a corporate partnership and sponsorship strategy that aligns with Solution Community’s mission and goals.
• Cooperate with the Chief Development Officer: Work together to ensure the "Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships" direction executes the strategy on time.
•  Work in a close relationship with the Grants & Foundations team and overall Growth team (fundraising and marketing): identifying opportunities that may overlap their roles and working in tandem to support Solution’s fundraising efforts
• Identify and Engage Prospects: Conduct outreach and engage with corporations and industry leaders who share a commitment to social impact, targeting partnerships that foster mutual growth.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate, maintain, and deepen relationships with new and existing partners while consistently exploring ways to expand our network.
• Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling partnership proposals that demonstrate the value and impact of Solution Community’s work.
• Sponsorship Program Development: Establish a sponsorship program with clear sponsor benefits and a structured path to involvement in our initiatives.
•  Impact Reporting: Measure and report on the impact of corporate partnerships and sponsorships, ensuring alignment with our mission and growth objectives.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all partnerships align with Solution Community’s brand values, culture, and objectives, strengthening our reputation within the corporate sector

• Experience in Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships: 5+ years of experience in corporate partnership management, sponsorship acquisition, or a related field.

Help support cats in the North East of Scotland!

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. It is a flexible role, you have the choice to be involved in the following:

o face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, attending supermarket collections and monitoring collection boxes.

o online fundraising – assisting with online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised.

o bringing new ideas! - We always love to come up with new ideas to raise funds for cats and we’d love to help bring yours to life.

o engaging with your local branch and Fundraising Hub and feeling like an integral part of the team.

Our Fundraising Volunteer roles are very flexible, often certain times of the year are busier than others. You can choose your level of involvement to suit your schedule!

Kidney Care UK, the UK’s leading kidney patient support charity is looking to recruit a number of exceptional individuals to join our committed Board as Trustees. To maintain a good skills balance within the Board, we would particularly welcome applications from a range of interested applicants with legal, IT, finance and fundraising expertise, as well as from senior clinicians including nurses and other allied health professionals. Lived experience of kidney disease would be advantageous but not essential.

Kidney Care UK, provides practical, financial and emotional support for kidney patients and their families, and works in partnership with health professionals and organisations to improve care and quality of life for patients. With over 200 patients supported every week and around £3m invested in our patient support work every year, we are passionately committed to improving the lives of everyone affected by the disease and actively campaign to improve care services.

Trustees are expected to attend four Board meetings a year, held in London and at our office headquarters in Alton, Hampshire, and most Trustees choose to sit on one of our four Committees.

The appointment is for an initial term of three years, with an option to serve up to nine years in total.

There is no remuneration although expenses may be claimed.

Join us in reducing food waste and supporting communities across Greater Manchester as a Food Surplus Redistribution Lead Volunteer.

This is a great opportunity to make a practical difference, develop your leadership and coordination skills, and be part of a team helping to ensure surplus food is put to good use.

About the role

We collect surplus food from supermarkets and other food donors and redistribute it within local communities.

We are looking for a Food Surplus Redistribution Lead Volunteer to help keep our food collections and distribution activities organised. You’ll work alongside other volunteers, coordinating practical arrangements, supporting the team, and helping to ensure food is collected, handled, and redistributed safely.

What you’ll be doing

Depending on the collection and distribution schedule, you’ll help with:

• Food Collections: Coordinate and carry out collections from supermarkets and other agreed collection points, including confirming collection times and arrangements.
• Food Distribution: Support the sorting, packing, storage and distribution of collected food, following agreed food safety and handling procedures.
• Team Leadership: Brief, guide, and support volunteers participating in collections and distribution; allocate practical tasks; and work alongside the team.
• Donor Relationships: Keep in touch with existing food donors, confirm routine collection arrangements and communicate any changes or issues.
• Identify Potential Donors: Help identify local businesses and organisations that may have suitable surplus food and support agreed initial contact and follow-up.
• Records and Logistics: Maintain records of food collected and distributed, collection arrangements, and any issues that need follow-up.

What we’re looking for

Previous food redistribution experience is not required. This role could be a good fit if you:

• are organised and reliable
• are comfortable communicating with a range of people
• enjoy working as part of a team and are happy to take the lead when needed
• can give clear and practical guidance to other volunteers
• can keep simple, accurate records
• can adapt when collection arrangements change
• are willing to follow food safety, health and safety and safeguarding procedures.

Experience of coordinating people, deliveries or stock would be helpful but is not essential.

Practical details

• Driving and transport: This role involves travelling to food collection points and transporting surplus food. To carry out these collections, you will need a full driving licence valid in the UK and access to a suitable vehicle.
• Lifting and carrying: Collections and distribution can involve loading and unloading food, as well as some lifting and carrying.
• Accessibility: We want volunteering with us to be as accessible as possible. If you would like to discuss an adjustment that could help you take part, please let us know.
• Expenses: Agreed mileage and other approved travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with our expenses policy.

Time commitment

This is a flexible volunteering role, arranged around food collection and distribution schedules.

We’re looking for someone who can usually offer around 4–8 hours a week, across agreed collection or distribution days.

Collection times can vary depending on when surplus food becomes available, so some flexibility is helpful. We’ll agree arrangements with you based on your availability.

At ReachOut we’re offering all that and more through our exciting opportunity to volunteer as a mentor in a local school! 

How it works? 

• Give just two hours of your week to support young people aged 9-14 to build key socio-emotional skills and grow in confidence. 

• Choose a 12-week project at one of our partner schools in your area that fits your schedule. 

• Work with like-minded volunteers with support from ReachOut staff as you get stuck into collective mentoring activities and engaging group games. 

• From creative, to active, to thought-provoking activities on our curriculum, there are so many opportunities to watch your mentees build team-working, problem solving and emotion management skills thanks to your support. 

• If you love it like we think you will, choose to volunteer on as many short programmes as you want! Gain recognition for your hours and through our Mentor of the Term Awards!
