Prospective volunteers will be expected to undertake the full training package for Community First Aider, enabling them to support event healthcare delivery in the community. This role carries a minimum commitment of 80 hours per year. Volunteers are encouraged to keep their skills current by attending regular network training sessions, which take place weekly on Tuesday evenings.

Home-Start Hampshire in Havant are currently recruiting volunteers in your area

Home-Start is a local charity supporting parents who are going through challenging times. Family Support Volunteers offer regular support, befriending and help to families under stress either in their own homes or at family groups, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. 

Families may need a little extra support for a multitude of reasons - a parent or child may have an illness, post natal depression, family bereavement, spouse in the military, multiple births or disabilities. 

Could you offer two hours per week or fortnightly to support families in your local area in the home or help at our family support group?

We offer either full face to face prep training or flexible training opportunities fully supported by a member of staff.

Welcome events will be on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Inductions will take place at the same time.

Level 3 qualification awarded, requiring 6 days face to face training plus e-learning.

Your Role

• Help ROLDA UK build a local presence within your community by networking and growing local volunteers who are interested in animal welfare and ask them to join you.

 Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens. Did you know it costs £102,000 to raise, train, and support a guide dog from birth to retirement.

We have a range of roles from being a group member, to taking on a lead role such as Group Coordinator, Deputy Coordinator, Treasurer, Merchandise Coordinator or Collection Box Coordinator.
