Goals 4 Girls is a UK charity dedicated to empowering girls and young women through football, mentoring and leadership development.

We work with girls and young women from underserved communities who face barriers to participation in sport, confidence building and personal development. Through structured programmes delivered in schools and communities, we support girls to build resilience, improve wellbeing and develop leadership skills.

Our programmes combine football participation with mentoring, wellbeing support and access to positive role models. By creating safe, female-focused spaces and strong support networks, we help girls develop confidence both on and off the pitch.

To support this growth, we are seeking a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees, helping guide the organisation’s financial sustainability and long-term strategy.

The Role of Treasurer

The Role of Treasurer

The Treasurer is a key member of the Board of Trustees, providing oversight of the charity’s financial health and helping ensure strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

The Treasurer will:

· Oversee the presentation of budgets, management accounts and annual financial statements to the Board.

· Ensure that appropriate financial systems, controls and procedures are in place.

· Monitor the financial health and sustainability of the organisation.

· Support the development and review of financial policies, including reserves and risk management.

· Provide financial insight to support strategic planning and growth.

· Work with the Chair, CEO, leadership team and with the Goals 4 Girls accountant to ensure effective financial planning and reporting.

· Ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements and relevant financial regulations.

· Oversee preparation of the charity’s annual accounts and liaise with external accountants or auditors.

· Ensure financial risks are identified and appropriately managed.

· Help build financial understanding across the Board by presenting financial information clearly and accessibly.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking a trustee with strong financial expertise who is motivated by the opportunity to support a growing charity making a positive impact in young people’s lives. Please note that only London-based candidates will be considered and the position requires an enhanced DBS check and two professional references.

· A professional background in finance with at least 5 years post-qualification in accounting, investment or financial management

· Experience of financial oversight, governance or strategic financial planning

· Experience supporting organisational growth or scaling programmes

Time Commitment

The Treasurer role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

Expected commitment:

· Attendance at monthly Board meetings

· Occasional committee or working group participation where relevant

· Preparation and review of financial information between meetings

The average commitment is approximately 5 –7 hours per month including a one hour monthly Board meeting.

Trustees are appointed for an initial three-year term, with the option of renewal.

Introduction

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of Volunteer Community Fundraisers and Event Coordinators. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities and their families and contribute to the betterment of your community. The CFDN charity has been in existence since 1962 servicing people with disabilities and their families of all faiths and none across Essex and East London. We rely on our dedicated volunteers to help us support our community and enable people with disabilities with the social, emotional, spiritual and material support they may need.

Many of our volunteers have been with us for 20+ years, and we are looking to extend our dynamic and diverse workforce of volunteers and staff.

Responsibilities

- Help plan, organise and run fundraising initiatives and events

- Market and promote our events and activities across your area

- Assist with project management, including planning, organising, and executing community fundraising projects and events at a local level

- Participate in fundraising efforts face-to-face, online or remotely to support community programs

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and highly professional Volunteer Charities & Campaigns Relationship Manager to build and maintain relationships with charitable organisations, community groups, and individuals using crowdfunding pages.

This role involves guiding partners from initial contact through onboarding and maintaining ongoing rapport, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and valued throughout their involvement with the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and invite suitable charities, community groups, and crowdfunding campaigns to join the platform

• Guide partners through the onboarding process from first contact to launch

• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with both organisations and individuals

• Act as a key point of contact for enquiries, support, and reassurance

• Maintain regular communication to sustain engagement and rapport

• Support individuals who may be experiencing difficult or traumatic circumstances with sensitivity and professionalism

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure partners receive timely assistance

• Provide clear information about how the platform works and what to expect

• Maintain accurate records of communications and partnership activity using our CRM management system

• Ensure all interactions reflect empathy, professionalism, and respect

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong relationship management or engagement experience

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

• High level of empathy and emotional intelligence

• Ability to communicate sensitively with people experiencing challenging circumstances

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships

• Professional, reliable, and approachable manner

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience working with charities, community groups, or support services

• Experience working remotely within a team

• Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.

MARINElife is a science charity that conducts cetacean and seabird research and monitoring

by gathering information of key marine species so they can be better protected.  For over 30 Years, we have carried out research, educational and outreach work on whales, dolphins, seabirds and other marine animals in the oceans of North-west Europe. We also provide relevant, robust and up-to-date information to those working for the sustainable future of our oceans.

The vital work is done in partnership with a wide range of sponsoring bodies from ecotourism through to research institutes and shipping companies. Our goal is to help conserve marine animals and to raise awareness of the threats they face by engaging the public and policymakers.

Everyone here has a passion for the marine environment. Our Trustees play a key role and are responsible for the oversight and governance of the charity, including ensuring the charity has the strategy to deliver its aims. They work as a team on the MARINElife Board of Trustees and also take a hands-on lead on specific topics as required.

Day- to- day operation of the charity is carried out by a small and dedicated team. They work with an enthusiastic community of volunteers and supporters, who survey the seas and deliver the data that forms our important contribution to marine science and conservation.

We currently have three exciting opportunities for Trustees to join us who, in addition to a passion for the marine environment, have the skills to contribute to governance of the charity and deliver our ambitious strategic plan. In addition to general Trustee duties, we are specifically seeking Trustees who have the ability to take the lead in the areas of:

· Digital Communications and Technology

· Fundraising

Our Trustee with the Digital Communications & Technology Brief will additionally take responsibility for supporting development of the Website and social media channels, the development of relevant strategy and policies on behalf of the Board, and giving guidance and support to staff, volunteers, and MARINElife’s partners. 

Our Trustee with the Fundraising Brief will additionally take responsibility for engagement with stakeholders and potential funding bodies to help the Board of Trustees maximise fundraising and resourcing opportunities to sustain and strengthen the charity.

What We’re Looking For:

For the Trustee Digital Communications & Technology - experience and expertise in communications technology to support MARINElife’s existing communications team, and to ensure that technologies used are fit for the purpose of delivering MARINElife’s digital content. You will advise the Board on website and social media communications capability and ensure the positive impact of our communications. Experience of Krystal Web Hosting for Charities and Wordpress is desirable.

For the Trustee Fundraising - experience and expertise in Fundraising to ensure MARINElife Income sources are fit for the purpose and experience in developing and overseeing the application of fundraising policies to enable the delivery of the charity’s objectives.

We require all our Trustees to be:

o Passionate about the marine environment and to be able to enthuse our mission.

o Strategic thinkers and clear communicators with an ability to stand back and see the bigger picture and to think about what is best for the Charity as a whole

o Enthusiastic contributors, able to work effectively with others as part of a team and willing to play an active role in the development of the Charity

Previous Board or Trustee experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds with a passion for the environment who have the experience that we are looking for to strengthen our Board.

The Trustee role is voluntary; the time requirement will vary but will require on average a one day a month commitment including Quarterly Trustee board meetings.

As an Adult Carers Fundraiser Admin & Support Volunteer, you will play a key part in helping Carers Trust Solihull secure funding that enables us to continue and expand our vital services for adult carers across the borough.

Working alongside the manager, you will help identify and apply for funding opportunities, assist with administrative and community-based fundraising activities, and represent the charity in local events. Your support will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for carers by enabling new services, resources, and opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone with good communication and organisational skills who enjoys building connections and making a tangible difference in the community.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Research and help identify funding opportunities relevant to our work with carers.
• Support the manager with administrative tasks linked to grant applications and fundraising.
• Represent Carers Trust Solihull as a friendly and professional ambassador at fundraising events.
• Keep accurate records of fundraising activity, donations, and outcomes.
• Attend and help organise fundraising events that support our mission.
• Present pre-prepared presentations or films to funders and partners to raise awareness of our work.
• Assist or lead in writing small grant applications (and larger ones where confident).
• Collect and log donated items for our service (e.g., gift vouchers, tickets, Easter eggs, and Christmas selection boxes).
• Monitor when key funding streams renew or reopen, ensuring timely applications.
• Work collaboratively with the manager to assess the viability of opportunities within our available resources.
• Carry out any other agreed tasks related to fundraising and community engagement.

Preferred Skills and Qualities

• Good understanding of marketing and community engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident when approaching potential funders or representing the charity in public.

As the sector continues to transform, Ben is entering an ambitious new phase to significantly expand its reach, strengthen its role as the industry’s trusted wellbeing partner and deliver its goal to treble impact and double fundraising by 2030. With strong financial foundations and clear ambition for growth, we are now seeking a new Chair and several Trustees to help shape this next chapter.

Chair of the Board of Trustees

The Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Board, support and challenge the CEO, and ensure strong governance, financial sustainability and clarity of purpose. They will lead the Board in setting strategy, driving impact, stewarding significant reserves and acting as an ambassador across the sector.

Trustees will help guide Ben’s strategy, ensure effective oversight, champion good governance and support the senior team. We welcome professionals at senior level who can bring fresh perspectives, strong judgement and a commitment to our mission.

We are looking for Trustees who can bring senior-level insight and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
