Volunteer Fundraiser - Help give local animals a brighter future
RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire Branch
Flexible volunteering | From home | Opportunities to help with individual projects
Good with words, research or making connections? Your skills could help an animal get the care they need.
We’re looking for someone who would enjoy helping us raise funds for animals across North West London and South Hertfordshire. You might be an experienced fundraiser, a confident writer, a resourceful researcher or someone who enjoys bringing people together for a good cause.
You don’t need to do everything. We’ll agree an area or project that suits your interests, skills and available time.
Why your help matters
Our Branch cares for and rehomes unwanted, stray and abandoned animals. We also help local owners who are struggling to afford essential veterinary treatment, helping pets stay with the people who love them wherever possible.
As a local RSPCA branch, we raise the funds needed to sustain our work. Your contribution could help pay for veterinary treatment, food and everyday care, or improve accommodation for animals waiting for new homes.
Choose how you get involved
Depending on your interests, you could help us:
Find funding: research trusts and foundations that might support a particular project.
Write something that makes a difference: help prepare a funding application or a compelling appeal.
Make local connections: identify businesses or community groups interested in supporting our animals.
Bring an idea to life: help develop a fundraising activity or campaign.
You could start with one clearly defined task, such as researching a shortlist of potential funders or helping draft an appeal. We can then explore whether you’d like to get more involved.
What you’ll bring
An interest in helping animals, reliability and skills relevant to your chosen activity.
Fundraising experience would be very welcome, but experience in writing, research, marketing, sales, relationship building or community projects could also be useful. You don’t need previous animal welfare experience.
Flexible around your life
Much of this volunteering can be done from home, with time agreed around your availability and the activity you choose. You’re also welcome at our Eastcote office if you prefer some time alongside the team.
Whether you’re interested in an individual project or ongoing involvement, we’d love to explore what could work for you.
Support and a real connection to the cause
You’ll have a named Branch contact, an introduction to our work and the information you need for your agreed activities. We’ll stay in touch, welcome your ideas and share how your contribution supports our animals.
This is an opportunity to use your strengths, develop relevant skills and become part of a local team that cares about animal welfare.
Interested? Let’s start with a conversation.
You don’t need a fully formed fundraising idea to get in touch. We can find a starting point together.
Ensuring every animal has a good life by rescuing and caring for those in need, speaking for them, and inspiring compassion and respect for all
