🔹 Role Overview

The Animator Team is a specialized unit within the Graphics Team, dedicated to transforming static designs into engaging animated content. Your work will help educate, inspire, and welcome volunteers while creating meaningful visual experiences for audiences around the world.

From onboarding journey animations and educational explainers to children's content and social media videos, your creativity will help communicate IHF's mission in a fun, engaging, and professional way.

Key Responsibilities

🎬 Create short 2D animations and motion graphics for IHF campaigns.

🎨 Animate onboarding journey maps, volunteer guides, and educational materials.

📱 Produce engaging animated content for social media platforms.

👧 Help create age appropriate educational animations for children at IHF centers.

🤝 Collaborate with the Graphics, Social Media, Video Editing, and Communications Teams on creative projects.

✨ Transform static graphics into dynamic visual stories that educate, inspire, and engage.

🔹 Ideal Candidate

• Experience with animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Blender, Canva Animation, Vyond, Toon Boom, or similar tools.

• Creativity and a passion for visual storytelling.

• Basic knowledge of motion graphics, character animation, or explainer videos.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to collaborate within a creative team.

🔹 Role Overview As an At-Center Volunteer, you will live and work alongside our children and local staff. This is a hands-on role where you will balance childcare, educational support, and administrative tasks. You are the direct support system for our children, ensuring they grow up in a safe, organized, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Childcare: Supervise and engage with children during meals, study time, and recreational activities.

• Educational Support: Assist children with homework, provide tutoring in basic subjects, and help facilitate center classes.

• Center Operations: Assist with daily chores, meal preparation, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility.

• Digital Documentation: Use basic computer knowledge to update child progress reports and communicate with the global IHF network.

• Lead Responsibility – Training & Mentorship: Help orient and train new arriving volunteers on center rules, cultural norms, and daily schedules.

• Location: Must be willing to live on-site at the IHF center in Kenya.

• Citizenship: Open to Kenyan citizens and international applicants.

• Documentation: Must possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (Police Clearance).

• Conduct: Strictly no drug or substance use (IHF maintains a zero-tolerance policy to ensure child safety).

• Skills: Basic computer literacy (Emails, Google Sheets/Docs) and the ability to work effectively with children of all ages.
