Our Story

Influential Stars was founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour and has spent many years raising awareness and support for UK causes. The platform was created from a deeply personal belief that influence, connection, and community can be powerful forces for good when brought together in the right way.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping turn that vision into real world impact, enabling experiences that raise funds, create joy for winners, and support charitable organisations across the UK.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach, and onboard affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and other supporters who can help expand the reach of the platform.

This role focuses on building a strong network of individuals and organisations who can introduce creators, promote campaigns, or otherwise support the growth of Influential Stars.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and networks

• Introduce individuals and organisations to the platform and explain how they can get involved

• Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates

• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers

• Encourage ongoing engagement and participation

• Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding

• Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system

• Represent the organisation professionally in all communications

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Experience in outreach, partnerships, business development, or relationship building

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

• Strong networking ability and proactive approach

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contacts

• Professional, reliable, and personable manner

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience in affiliate programmes, partnerships, or community building

• Experience working remotely within a team

• Interest in charitable or social impact work

• Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)

Working Arrangement

• Fully remote position

• Flexible working hours depending on organisational needs

• No travel required. However, if you choose to meet with partners in person, reasonable travel costs will be covered where possible

• Occasional (optional) in person team meetings

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.

Voluntary and unpaid but reasonable expenses will be paid.

Would you like to help improve the quality-of-care patients receive at the time of surgery and anaesthesia?

We are the professional body responsible for the specialty of anaesthesia, perioperative care, intensive care and pain medicine across the UK, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Chair of PatientsVoices@RCoA, the group of volunteers who support, advise and influence the College by providing patients’ views on its activities.

As Chair of PatientsVoices@RCoA, you will lead a diverse group of volunteers and champion meaningful patient involvement across a wide range of workstreams. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the quality-of-care patients receive in the NHS and other healthcare settings.

As Chair of PatientsVoices@RCoA you will:

• Champion the work of the group and raise the profile of the patient voice across the College.
• Encourage participation and engagement within the group.
• Work with College staff and Committee Chairs to deliver impactful patient engagement where most needed.
• Be an ambassador with external partners and stakeholder organisations.
• Chair the meetings of PatientsVoices@RCoA three times a year and the away day once a year.
• Be co-opted to College Council and report to Council on behalf of PatientsVoices@RCoA.
• Attend and report to the Clinical Quality and Research Board on behalf of PatientsVoices@RCoA.
• Represent PatientsVoices@RCoA at the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’ Patient Liaison Group.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience of leading a group and working with a diverse range of people and views.
• Experience of chairing committees and meetings and leading discussions so that every voice is heard.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Passion about strengthening the patient voice in the work of the College.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• The ability to use basic IT systems (e.g. email, Word, Teams etc.).
• The ability to commit an average of four days per month to the role.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to a varied workload and schedule.

To maintain independence and avoid conflicts of interest:

• You cannot join PatientsVoices@RCoA if you hold an anaesthetic qualification.
• You cannot currently be working, practising or managing services in healthcare (including policy making).

Do you love retro arcade games and have a knack for IT, software, or troubleshooting older systems? We’re looking for a volunteer to help get our two classic arcade machines running again!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Diagnose: Identify and troubleshoot software or IT issues on our two arcade machines.
• Update: Adjust or update game software to restore full functionality.
• Collaborate: Work with our team to ensure both games are playable and fun for the CYP community.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We need someone who is organised, communicative, and enthusiastic.

• Experience: Background in IT, software, or gaming systems.
• Problem-Solver: Comfortable troubleshooting older hardware or software.
• Enthusiasm: Passionate about gaming and tech.
• Commitment: A strong dedication to troubleshooting, fixing, and restoring our arcade machines so they’re fun and playable again.
