The difference you will make to cats and people

Our photo and video volunteers help source, capture and share engaging photos of cats and other images to promote everything Cats Protection does for cats across the UK. Their photos and images help raise awareness of our fantastic volunteer groups and teams which in turn helps raise funds, raises awareness of adopting a Cats Protection cat, helps promote neutering and encourages people to learn more about great cat welfare.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

• Communicating with others to obtain photos and videos
• Organising photos and videos provided by others
• Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection
• Ensuring that content meets with internal and external policies and guidelines

Time expectation

Our photo and video volunteers usually spend two to three hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

As a Young Trustee for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, you will bring a strong and vibrant youth voice to our Board, helping to shape meaningful and lasting change. Your insight and leadership will support us in improving the lives of the young people and families we serve.

In this role, you’ll have a real opportunity to influence strategy while developing valuable experience in leadership and governance. You will play a key part in championing inclusivity and innovation, ensuring that young people remain at the heart of everything we do.

We will be offering a bespoke package of support to help the Trustee feel confident and well-prepared in their new role. This will include training tailored to their needs, a dedicated mentor from the Board of Trustees, connection with the leaders of Alder Hey's highly regarded Youth Forum and a comprehensive induction programme designed to ensure they are fully equipped to contribute effectively from the outset and feel comfortable in the role.

As a community champion volunteer you’ll be supporting Sense’s fundraising team, playing a vital role in helping Sense to raise funds and awareness to support people with complex disabilities. 

You’ll engage with individuals, local businesses, and regional press to share our mission, organise events, and inspire others to take action. Whether you’re great at planning events, researching opportunities or connecting with your community, this role has something for you.  

This is a flexible role, with the opportunity to volunteer either virtually or in your local community. We are looking for volunteers able to offer a minimum commitment of 2 hours per month. 

We’re looking for people who are passionate about Sense’s work to support disabled people with complex needs and who have a calm, kind and friendly personality.

Please note that you will not be providing care for the people Sense supports as part of this role.

Due to the nature of the volunteer role, we cannot accept applications for anyone under the age of 18.

The four areas of the role:

As a Community Champion, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities, organised into four main role categories. You can choose to get involved in one or more of these areas, and we’ll discuss your preferences with you as part of the application process. Please note, we don’t expect volunteers to take on every area. Instead, we’ll focus on what interests you most and shape the role around your strengths and skills.

Event volunteer:

Support Sense’s Community Fundraising team by:

• Organising your own fundraising events in aid of Sense.
• Supporting and participating in fundraising events at your local Sense services, and shops.
• Supporting with fundraising admin, for example sourcing prizes for Sense fundraisers.

Skills needed:

• Creative, with fresh fundraising ideas and enthusiasm.
• Organised, with the ability help co-ordinate multiple aspects of an event.

Local public relations (PR) volunteer:

Boost Sense’s profile in your local community by:

• Writing content for local press releases.
• Building a network of local media contacts.
• Supporting regional output of national campaigns. 

Skills needed:

• Strong written communication
• Able to follow branding and messaging guidelines.
• Self-motivated and proactive in seeking opportunities. 

Fundraising researcher:

Help boost Sense’s regional income by researching available grants, partnerships and other local connections. Responsibilities include:

• Researching local grants and business partnerships.
• Researching networking events.
• Helping us to source prizes for Sense fundraising events.

Skills needed:

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
• Organised, ensuring new leads are accurately recorded and shared. 

Community connector:

Act as an ambassador for Sense, attending events across your community to thank supporters, and forge new partnerships.

• Attending cheque presentations, thanking our supporters.
• Giving presentations about Sense to local schools and community groups.
• Engaging with local businesses and groups, to forge new relationships for Sense.

Skills needed:

• Strong communication skills and enjoys public speaking opportunities.
• Well-connected in their local area, and love engaging with people.

Do you love music and dance? Would you like to join us and have fun with the people we support?  

We are looking for a friendly volunteer who can lead a session of dance, aerobics or exercise, and enjoy moving to music together!  

  
Activities will include:    

• Sharing your time with people we support and leading a group session of movement to music.  This can be dancing, aerobics or other ideas you would like to bring along!  

• Demonstrating dance moves and encouraging people to join in  

• Chatting away and building friendships    

  We are looking for volunteers who are:     

• Confident to lead a group and dance freely (any level of skill is welcome)    

• Enthusiastic with a passion for dance and movement   

• Happy to take requests and share ideas    

• Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism     

• Reliable and willing to volunteer regularly (days/times to be agreed)   

A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.

ABOUT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR FOUNDATION
Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is the charitable arm of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Using the power of sport, we work with local communities to improve physical health, mental wellbeing, education, and employment outcomes.

Through our Health & Wellbeing programmes, including Making Sport a Daily Habit (MSADH), we support adults who may be inactive, face health inequalities, or live with long-term health conditions to move more, feel better, and connect with others. PURPOSE OF THE VOLUNTEER ROLE
As a Volunteer Health & Sport Coach, you will support the delivery of inclusive and enjoyable physical activity sessions that help adults build confidence, routine, and enjoyment in being active.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys encouraging others and creating welcoming spaces, particularly for people who may feel nervous or unsure about physical activity. You do not need to be an expert athlete — enthusiasm, empathy, and a supportive attitude are what matter most.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Support the practical delivery of inclusive physical activity and sport sessions as part of MSADH.
• Assist with session set-up, delivery support, and pack-down across community venues.
• Encourage participants to take part at their own pace and adapt activities where appropriate.
• Help create a positive, welcoming environment that supports confidence, enjoyment, and inclusion.
• Work alongside Foundation staff and other volunteers to support smooth session delivery.
• Share relevant feedback or observations with the Project Coordinator when required.
• Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and risk assessment procedures at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS & ROLE REQUIREMENTS
• Volunteers supporting the practical delivery of physical activity sessions may be required to hold a minimum Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (or an equivalent accredited coaching or fitness qualification).
• Volunteers supporting sessions in a non-delivery or administrative capacity are not required to hold this qualification and will be supervised by qualified Foundation staff.
• All volunteers must be willing to complete required training and follow Foundation policies and procedures.

Job Description

We are looking for a Volunteer Digital Marketing Director to help lead and coordinate our digital outreach and growth strategy.

You will help develop and manage the organisation’s digital marketing activities, ensuring campaigns, content and communication channels work together to raise awareness and engage supporters.

This role involves working closely with the Founder and Digital Marketing team to guide digital campaigns, support online engagement and help build systems that allow the organisation to grow.

The role focuses on strategy, coordination and improving the impact of digital campaigns and outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the organisation’s digital marketing strategy
• Support the planning and delivery of digital campaigns across platforms
• Work with content, design and campaign teams to align messaging and activities
• Help build digital pathways for volunteers, donors and supporters to engage with the organisation
• Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements
• Oversee tools such as email marketing platforms, social media channels and CRM systems
• Ensure digital activities follow data protection and GDPR guidelines
• Provide updates and insights to leadership on digital performance

What We’re Looking For

• Experience or strong interest in digital marketing strategy or campaign management
• Ability to coordinate multiple digital channels such as social media, email and websites

Unify is building a social impact platform that helps get direct, practical support to people who need it most — with dignity, transparency, and real-world usability at the core.

We’re looking for a Senior Developer / Tech Lead (Volunteer) to guide the build, unblock the team, and help us ship a solid, scalable product. This is a light commitment (2–5 hours per week), but a high-leverage role: you’ll be working closely alongside the founders and our Product Manager.

What you’ll do (2–5 hrs/week)

• Lead engineering direction: keep the build clean, pragmatic, and shippable.

• Review PRs and raise code quality (architecture, security, performance, maintainability).

• Help prioritise technical work with the founders + Product Manager.

• Support and mentor a small volunteer/dev team (light-touch guidance, not heavy management).

• Set up or improve engineering foundations (CI/CD, environments, observability, release process).

• Identify risk early (security, data handling, scalability) and propose solutions.

• Solid judgement around security, data handling, and best practices.

• A collaborative communicator who can keep things calm and moving.

Nice to have (not required)

• Experience with marketplaces, payments, identity/verification flows, or credit/voucher systems.

• Experience setting up CI/CD, testing strategy, and deployment pipelines for MERN apps.

• Previous work in startups, charities, civic tech, or social impact.

What we need from you

This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example:

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 
• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
• championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection
• You’ll need to be aged 18+ to volunteer in this role. If you’re aged 16-17, you’ll need to be supervised by a friend, family member, or guardian over the age of 18 in order to carry out any fundraising activity.

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! What we need from you

This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example:

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 
• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations
• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
• championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection
• You’ll need to be aged 18+ to volunteer in this role. If you’re aged 16-17, you’ll need to be supervised by a friend, family member, or guardian over the age of 18 in order to carry out any fundraising activity.

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

Why we want you

As branch chair you and your branch members will create a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community. To ensure that our Armed Forces community know that SSAFA are here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.

What you will be doing

• Overseeing an appropriate programme of awareness raising activities so that potential beneficiaries, volunteers and supporters are aware of SSAFA as first in mind for support.
• Building relationships with the regional and national SSAFA team, local voluntary organisations and, if applicable, SSAFA serving community teams, local military establishments, etc.
• Attending events as a key SSAFA representative.
• Providing timely reports and information to SSAFA’s central office
• Overseeing a programme of meetings including an AGM, branch meetings, committee meetings, training etc.
• Working with other volunteers, regional and national team members to attract and recruit new volunteers as required.
• Work closely with the community engagement co-ordinator to recruit, welcome, induct, support, and manage volunteers in line with SSAFA policies, such as the Volunteering Policy, Volunteer Code of Conduct, Data Protection Policy, and Safeguarding Policy.

• Motivating leadership with an ability lead a team of volunteers.
• Friendly and approachable
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Basic IT skills
