As a Community First Aider, you’ll deliver first aid to those in need through local events, as well as provide education to the public so that the ripple effect of First Aid grows.

Through supporting the growth of community partnerships, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. As Volunteer Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader, you will play a key role in empowering people to create safer communities. 

You will lead the local volunteer team, setting direction and ensuring activity aligns with Crimestoppers’ mission that people are the ones who stop crime. 

You will working closely with the Police, Community Safety Partnerships, and local organisations, and help deliver campaigns and events that improve community safety. 

Through regular communication with regional and national staff, you will ensure your volunteers stay informed, connected, and supported.

Volunteer Team Leader / Deputy Team Leader applicants must live in the local area where you are applying.

Ready to make a difference to a young person's life? Team Up is seeking dynamic volunteer to help transform the lives of disadvantaged pupils by improving their grades and building confidence in their learning.

We are looking for inspirational role models who will tutor English or Maths once a week on one of our 10-12 week online programme, starting in September 2026.

You will be matched with a small number of pupils (max 1 or 2) and provide them with the academic support, encouragement and inspiration they need to get back on track. Our tuition programmes aim to build not just academic strength, but confidence and positivity towards learning as well. 

All our volunteer tutors receive full training, lesson resources and support from a qualified teacher / team manager throughout their placement.

Practical Considerations:

• Our online programme runs on Tuesday afternoons from 17:00 till 18:00.
• The start date is mid-September (date TBC)
• Sessions are 60 minutes and take place via Teams. Tutors are expected to be online 15 minutes prior to their session. There is a 15-minute debrief with your progarmme manager after each session.
• This role requires you to undergo a free of charge enhanced DBS check, arranged by Team Up.

We are looking for:

• Strong grades in English or Maths
• Experience working with young people
• Committed, organised and patient individuals 
• Good interpersonal skills when dealing with pupils
• Individuals who are passionate about helping to reduce the education attainment gap and improve social mobility

Our volunteers love building a rapport with each pupil, seeing pupil growth, and personal confidence increase across the 12 week programme. By the end of the programme, you will see how the support you give has enabled a young person to not only improve their grades, but also build long term resilience. 

Alongside this meaningful experience, you will also be able to attend our online employability seminars, as well as receiving a personalised reference upon completion of the programme.

The impact you will make:

By supporting local and national fundraising activity, you will help ensure that NCI stations can continue to operate effectively. Your contribution will directly support the volunteers on watch who provide a crucial extra set of eyes along the coast, helping to prevent incidents and assist emergency services when needed.

What you will be doing:

As a volunteer station supporter fundraiser, you will be involved in your stations fundraising activities, including:

• Attending local fundraising events and community activities organised by your station
• Manning stalls at events, shows, and public spaces
• Collecting, checking, and emptying donation boxes in agreed locations
• Assisting with simple fundraising initiatives organised by your local station
• Helping to promote NCI within the local community and encouraging public support

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience, confidence, and skills while supporting a coastal water safety charity. Would be beneficial to be located near to an NCI station, or reasonable travelling disctance from a station. Would need to hold a driving licence for travelling to and from events.

Social Media Content Creator

Mountain Rescue England and Wales, Media and Communicatios, is on the lookout for innovative and creative volunteer Social Media Content Creators. These individuals will play a key role in enhancing our digital presence across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The responsibilities will focus on producing engaging visual and written content that resonates with our target audiences.

Communications serve as a vital support function for Mountain Rescue, aiding our operational efforts to help individuals make better-informed choices that enhance their safety and lessen the demand on our teams.

All roles are home based and will require around 2 to 4 hours per week. No prior Mountain Rescue skills are required for these roles and there will be opportunity to visit Mountain Rescue bases to become familiar with what we do. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the safety of those exploring the hills and mountains.

Primary Responsibilities

• Content Production: Film, photograph, and edit high-quality content specifically optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social channels
• Trend Mastery: Stay ahead of social media trends, algorithm updates, and viral meme culture, integrating them into the brand's social strategy. This will be supported by a new partnership that MREW will up sign up to “Social Media Management and Social Listening”
• Copywriting & Publishing: Write catchy, engaging captions and manage the scheduling and distribution of daily posts.
• Analytics & Optimization: Track key performance metrics (views, shares, engagement) and use data to refine and improve future content.
• Community Engagement: Respond to comments, interact with followers, and monitor social conversations to build an authentic, active community.
• Brand Storytelling: Ensure all visual and written content aligns seamlessly with the mountain rescues voice, goals and objectives.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Portfolio: A strong portfolio or live links to previous social media accounts personally managed and grown.
• Technical Editing: Proficiency in mobile-first and desktop editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Canva).
• Camera Confidence: Comfortable appearing on-camera, doing voiceovers, or confidently directing others.
• Creative Mindset: A strong eye for aesthetics, frame composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with a flawless grasp of spelling, grammar, and internet slang.
