We want to be recognised as a collaborative support service that truly transforms lives. To help make that happen, we’re looking for a passionate team of fundraisers to work alongside one another, supporting the Creative Director, each contributing in different ways to support the organisation’s sustainability and impact.

The Social Fundraiser supports the online and digital side of fundraising, helping promote our fundraising platforms and campaigns. This includes JustGiving, EasyFundraising, and future initiatives such as a fundraising Vinted page. You will also help us to inspire supporters through engaging social content that shares our mission, stories and fundraising activities.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys social media, digital storytelling, and helping causes reach wider audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote fundraising platforms such as JustGiving and EasyFundraising

• Support the launch and promotion of new fundraising initiatives (e.g. Vinted)

• Help create and share simple, engaging fundraising content

• Support social media activity linked to fundraising campaigns

• Encourage community engagement and online donations

 In htis role you will play a vital role in supporting our fundraising campaigns, events and initiatives aimed at providing essential services to individuals affected by cancer. You will work closely with our Community & Individual Giving Fundraiser to assist with our in-house fundraising efforts and provide support to individuals undertaking challenges and events on behalf of The Mulberry Centre, seeing defined projects through from start to finish.

Time Commitment – A regular commitment of at least 2 days a week (Majority of which would be office based) for a minimum of 6 months or preferably longer term.

Main Duties

To work within an agreed brief with the support of the Supporter Engagement Lead on the following:

· Fundraising Campaign Support: Assisting with the planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives.

· Event Support: Helping to organise and facilitate fundraising events, ensuring smooth execution and maximum engagement from participants and supporters.

· Individual Support: Helping your Lead provide guidance and encouragement to individuals undertaking challenges and events in support of The Mulberry Centre, offering assistance in fundraising strategies and goal setting using the fundraising pack.

· Marketing and Advertising: Utilising transferable skills in marketing and advertising to promote fundraising campaigns and events, both online and offline, to maximize reach and participation.

· Community Engagement: Researching and engaging with the local community, small businesses, and organisations to foster partnerships and support and prizes for fundraising efforts.

· Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of fundraising activities, donations, and participant information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

· Correspondence: Drafting accurate, well-structured emails, letters and reports with agreed key messages and information.

· Any other duties appropriate for the role and adhering to The Mulberry Centre’s policies.

Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership (WTRRP)

At Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership, our objective is to provide practical and emotional support, ultimately helping our clients achieve a sustainable position as full members of our society. Many of our clients are destitute, homeless and have no access to assistance from the government. Our mission is to provide access to advice and essential services until statutory services are in place.

Volunteering as a Social Media Volunteer provides an opportunity for you to help promote the charity to current and potential clients as well as the wider community, which could attract donors and other volunteers. As well as this it will be a way for you to develop your social media and computer skills, gain experience volunteering for a charity and also it will be an interesting addition to your CV!

Full training will be given on starting the role, including safeguarding, as well as regular training sessions and continual support from other volunteers.

Responsibilities:

· Updating the charity’s Facebook, X and Instagram pages regularly (ideally at least weekly).

· Liaising with other volunteers from other services to gather photos and information to post prior to and after events/sessions.

· Attend and take photos of the bigger charity events throughout the year.

· Try to gain more followers and traction through social media.

· Reply to comments, share posts and stories and follow relevant local and national organisations.

Requirements:

· 1-2 ad/hoc hours a week.

· Complete training as required and attend bi-monthly volunteer support meetings.

Skills:

· An ability to communicate and empathise with people from a variety of backgrounds and needs.

· Basic IT and social media skills.

· Can work well as part of a team.

· Enthusiasm to help refugee clients.

Desirable experience: 

· Previous volunteering experience.

· Able to follow new social media trends and algorithms to create as much engagement as possible.

The Internal Community Fundraiser supports internal and community-based fundraising activities, organising and coordinating opportunities at local events such as school fetes, markets, fairs, and larger public events. Through these local events you will cultivate relationships with individuals, groups, schools, and businesses to drive income and raise awareness.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning events, organising, and bringing people together, and wants to help grow our income in a practical, hands-on way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help identify and organise community fundraising opportunities, including events, challenges, and campaigns

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, schools, faith groups and community organisations to encourage financial and in-kind support.

• Support planning and logistics for attending events (stall set-up, materials, rota support)

• Liaise internally to ensure events are well-prepared and staffed

• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

• Confident to engage with the public, potential clients, volunteers and SSAFA colleagues face-to-face.
• Reliable attitude, staying connected with your Branch and/or Community Engagement Manager about your availability.
• Access to public transport or a car to get to events if necessary.
