• Fundraising Commitment:
  Every board member must actively participate in fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and sponsorship drives.
  Each member is required to make a personal monthly donation to the organisation (amount optional but meaningful).

Position: Board of Director - Vice-Chairperson (Unpaid Volunteer Role)

Reports to: Board Chairperson

Location: Hybrid (remote + in-person events as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Support the Chairperson and act in their absence.

• Ensure all board decisions are actioned efficiently.

• Oversee special committees and task forces.

• Assist with performance evaluations of executive staff.

• Provide leadership continuity during transitions.

As a Trustee, you will:

• Use your experience, skills or networks to support and strengthen the organisation

The Board meets every two months, in person and online (usually weekday evenings). Between meetings, you may be asked to support areas linked to your skills or interests.

The role involves providing basic information and advice, signposting to appropriate services, and assisting clients with completing benefit application forms.

Main purpose of role:

To take on the responsibilities of our direct social media output.

To support our communications and marketing work.

To help with creating content for our newsletters, social media, print media and other promotional material over time.

Main duties will include:

1. Create content to be attractive, informative and inclusive.

2. Post across Instagram, Blue Sky, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn to promote the organisation

3. Support designated team members to utilise social media to thank and engage our supporters, doners and funders.

Description

This group offers blind and partially sighted people living with Retinal Detachment the opportunity to socialise with one another on a regular basis. Could you be the right person to facilitate the group? Do you have personal or professional experience of Retinal Detachment? If you’re also a good listener, able to manage group conversations and make people feel comfortable in a social group environment, we're keen to hear from you.

This is a telephone-based role that you can do from home. You will need access to a landline and/or mobile phone. We ask you to commit to 1-2 hours per week to facilitate one group session, which will take place at the same day and time each week.

You will be the link between the group participants and the RNIB Talk and Support team and will:

OVERALL PURPOSE

Overall Responsibility for Co-ordinating the service delivery and impact measurement of a chosen WFRC Project on a day-to-day basis.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be instrumental in the growth and development of a fast-growing women & children’s charity. We are looking for someone to be an integral part of our team by ‘masterminding’ all aspects of running a chosen community project.

With your positive approach, you will enjoy working proactively and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and respond to the day to day needs of the programme. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to build rapport and get conversations going with a wide range of people. You will lead and coordinate a team of volunteers in the implementation and provision of a responsive, high quality and service user-focused project. Please note that this is an unpaid voluntary role, however, volunteer expenses will be covered for the right candidate.

 OPERATIONAL TASKS

Project Implementation & Delivery:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

· Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to guide project execution.

· Lead project team and facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

· Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met.

· Identify potential risks and obstacles to project success and develop mitigation strategies.

Experience

• Previous experience creating AI-generated video content.
• Experience using AI video generation platforms and creative production tools.
• Demonstrable portfolio of AI-generated videos, short films, social media content, documentaries, or storytelling projects.
• Experience producing long-form content (15–30 minutes+) is desirable.
• Experience creating UGC-style videos using AI tools is highly desirable.
• Experience with social impact, educational, motivational, mental health, community, or documentary-style content is an advantage.
• Understanding of storytelling structures and audience engagement techniques.
