Crisis of Faith: 1 in 4 young Muslims are leaving the religion due to various factors, primarily the pervasive anti-religious content and temptations they encounter online and offline.

Role Summary.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, screening, and supporting the selection of qualified volunteers and team members who align with the organization’s mission and values. This role focuses on building strong recruitment pipelines through strategic outreach, managing initial candidate evaluations, and supporting the hiring process to ensure the organization continues to grow with passionate and capable people who truly believe in the mission and vision of Roots Academy

Key tasks

• Lead volunteer recruitment efforts by sourcing, attracting, and engaging qualified candidates aligned with organizational values and needs
• Identify and develop strategic outreach channels by researching and recommending platforms, communities, and locations to advertise open positions
• Conduct initial resume screenings and candidate evaluations to assess qualifications, experience, and role fit prior to advancing applicants to interview stages

Volunteer Befriender for young people in care for NYAS -WANTAGE area

Do you want to make a difference to a young person’s life?
Do you have 1- 4 hours per month to spare?
We urgently require volunteer befrienders to be a positive role models for young people living in care. So why not volunteer as a mentor/befriender for NYAS as an Independent Visitor for children and young people in care.

As a volunteer you will:

* Have fun, take young people on outings and maybe share a hobby, sport or interest
* Offer support and a listening ear and be a positive influence in a young person’s life and help build self- esteem and confidence
* You don’t need any special qualifications

We are looking for reliable and dependable people from all walks of life.

Description

You'll be raising awareness, & improving understanding of sight loss through delivering RNIB’s Awareness to Action sessions in your local community. Through these engaging sessions, you'll inspire participants to make small changes to their behaviour that make a massive difference in the day-to-day lives of people with sight loss. As a Community Change Champion, this will involve:

• Talking directly with community leaders, businesses, & local groups about ways they can get involved & inviting them to join an Awareness to Action session.
• Delivering RNIB’s Awareness to Action sessions either in person or online, using our resources. You may do this on your own or with a team of other local volunteers, both sighted and with sight loss.
• Sharing RNIB’s information & initiatives so people know we’re here for them.
• If you have a personal link to sight loss, sharing your experience during the session to help give a tangible example of how local people can make a real difference.
• Telling us about any activities you have engaged in via a Microsoft form.

Purpose of the Role

To join the board as a Volunteer Finanical Director, bringing governance knowledge and strategic thinking to strengthen board effectiveness, uphold the CIC's obligations, and ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the community we serve.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Guide the Board

• Attend two to three board meetings per month, virtual or hybrid, and come prepared to contribute
• Help ensure decisions are made properly, recorded, and followed through
• Review and respond to decisions outside of meetings within 48 to 72 hours
• Support the review of policies and raise questions when something needs attention
• Support the development of projects and programmes by contributing ideas, strategic thinking, critical insight, and creative, innovative approaches, while bringing energy, boldness, and enthusiasm.

2. Keep Us on Track

• Contribute to strategic decision-making, policy approval, and organisational oversight
• Monitor organisational performance and support the Managing Director in delivery accountability
• Flag risks early and help ensure resources are used well and in line with our mission
• Keep the needs of the communities we serve at the centre of every decision

3. Be a Critical Friend

• Challenge and support the Managing Director with honesty and care
• Ask the questions that need to be asked, even when it is uncomfortable
• Help us grow in a way that is sustainable and grounded in our values

4. Champion What Matters

• Be an ambassador for Zion Wellness in how you show up and speak about us
• Participate in bi-directional mentorship exchanges with young people on the programme
• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and community interest are never an afterthought

What We Are Looking For

You will bring:

• A strong professional background in finance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
• Confident, values-led leadership with the ability to represent the CIC's mission at board level
• A background in leadership, social impact, or community outreach
• Experience in creative direction, entrepreneurship, or project leadership
• Understanding of organisational strategy, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development
• A genuine commitment to systemic change and the communities we serve

It would be great if you also have:

• Governance experience such as trustee, governor, or board-level involvement, though this is not essential
• Experience in a charity, CIC, or grassroots organisation
• Training and induction will be provided for the right candidate

About Us

Adventures for Animals was established as a fundraising initiative of IAPWA to empower passionate individuals to explore the world whilst changing it for animals in need. Every trek, climb, and challenge helps fund IAPWA’s vital rescue, rehabilitation, vaccination and community outreach programmes. Through storytelling, content, and community engagement, we aim to inspire people who care about both animals and exploration.

Volunteer Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and reliable Volunteer Social Media Assistant to help grow and maintain our online presence. This is a flexible, fully remote volunteer role ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare, adventure, travel, and digital storytelling.

While the role does not involve travel itself, we’re looking for someone who enjoys the adventure and travel space and can help bring that energy into engaging social media content whilst integrating some of the animal welfare stories from IAPWA.

The position is designed to fit around your schedule, with an expectation of approximately 2 posts or reels per week.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging social media content for Instagram and Facebook
• Design simple graphics, reels, captions, and stories aligned with our brand and mission
• Help maintain a consistent social media presence
• Source and repurpose existing content where appropriate
• Write captions that encourage engagement and awareness around animal welfare and adventure-related topics
• Engage with and grow our online community and increase overall reach
• Stay aware of social media trends and suggest content ideas

Community Liaison Officer

Challenge Adventure Group (“CAG” for short and the operating name of CAG Trust) is a voluntary youth organisation for Knowle, Dorridge and beyond aimed at boys aged 10 and above.

As our name suggests, we provide challenging, adventurous and fun activities and the D of E Award for young people in their leisure time. Taking part in fun experiential activities enables members to develop their physical and mental skills and capacities and reach their full potential of becoming positive, active and happy citizens.

Summary

CAG was formed in 2009 and became a charity, CAG Trust, in 2019. We are looking for an individual who embodies the spirit of CAG and continually keeps the integrity and goals of the organisation at the forefront of every decision that they make as part of their role.  To ensure we meet our goal of improving the well-being of young people and being a part of our local community we need to increase our reach. We’re looking for a volunteer Community Ambassador to play a vital role in helping us reach new audiences, form new partnerships and maintain current arrangements, raise awareness and generate income.

You will seek out opportunities to speak to and build relationships with community groups, organisations and businesses, raising awareness of our work and encouraging action through giving, campaigning and volunteering.

In addition to public speaking opportunities, you may attend events on our behalf, such as business networking meetings, fundraising events, community fetes, galas and more.

You will work closely with the CAG Management Committee for support and help mapping out opportunities within the local community and beyond.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Communicating and building relationships with current and potential community contacts.

• Promoting CAG in the local area.

• Delivering talks about CAG’s aims and activities.

• Contacting existing supporters to encourage continued support.

• Researching new opportunities to build relationships in the local area, for instance: local places of worship, the Round Table, the Lions, local businesses.

• Working in close conjunction with our Social Media Volunteer and our Fundraising Volunteer.

• Communicating frequently with CAG Management Committee to keep them up to date.

The volunteer will work from home and will be required to attend meetings within the Solihull area.

Travel Limit

This role is partly remote but ideally the candidate should be available for face to face Committee and other meetings.
