What's involved?
Supporting, encouraging, and facilitating the creation of new outdoor experiences such as cycling, walking and running.
Testing out new tours, walks and cycle groups in the outdoors.
Learning a bit of story telling along the way, and being part of choosing what is shared and trained for future group leaders.
Preparation of equipment and ensuring experiences are carried out safely.
Being a friendly face for visitors, welcoming them to the estate, answering questions, inspiring people to connect with the outdoors and growing support for the National Trust.
Being part of a varied and enthusiastic team, working closely with the Visitor Experience team and volunteers to ensure that service across all visitor facing components is consistent.
Assist staff with route planning and visitor information, with the possibility of offsite promotion and engagement with local groups.
Taking part in the possible connection with local walking or cycling groups.
Taking part in regular Walk Leader & Cycle Leader training to develop skills. Regular catch-up sessions with our Active Outdoors Development Volunteer Manager.
Incident management will be covered in detail during the Walk Leader and Cycle Leader training including what Walk & Cycle Leaders’ responsibilities are.
Being part in evaluation and planning meetings to decide what on Active out door role could look like in future.
This role will suit you if you are:

Able to take part in, lead or support in routes around Ickworth; as the role will involve varying levels of physical activity including shorter close by and Multi Use trail routes, full parkland bike rides and rambling walks through off path spaces.

Role Responsibilities:
• Collect library materials from a designated library and deliver them safely to clients’ homes.
• Follow a set delivery route one day per week, with each session lasting a maximum of approximately three hours.

We are looking for up to three talented people to bring wider expertise to our board and complement the skills of our elected pharmacists and the Chair, Joe Irvin OBE. Our Trustees will help steer our strategic direction and ensure the good governance and financial wellbeing of the College.
With a proud history of more than a century, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is now transforming itself into the Royal College of Pharmacy, a registered charity providing public benefit, to sit alongside the other medical royal colleges. This change is due in Spring 2026.
As we already have expertise in pharmacy, this is not a requirement however one of the new trustees must have specialist expertise in charity finance. This is a voluntary role, and you would be expected to attend formal board meetings (in person and online) four times a year – and annually for a full-day strategic review and planning session. Trustees serve for a term of up to three years with an option for appointment for a further two terms.

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a UK-based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise. We are supported by an incredible team of prison volunteers who are the link between the charity and the stitchers we work with in prison. Our volunteers run fortnightly stitching groups in the prisons we work with to facilitate our stitchers’ production of high-quality needlework.
Our prison volunteers work in small teams to teach our stitchers’ embroidery and needlepoint, organise their group sessions, and liaise with the prison and FCW office.
What you will do as a prison volunteer:
- Teach people in prison how to stitch and support the completion of our premade kits in our cell groups, which consist of around 10-15 stitchers.
- Communicate with staff at our hub in Battersea to receive kits and supplies for your group and send back completed work for your stitchers to be paid.
- Encourage and help stitchers to complete our Open College Network certifications in creative needlework.
- Develop stitchers’ skills and confidence by encouraging them to take responsibility as peer mentors.
- Act as an ambassador for the charity and sharing our vision and values throughout your volunteering.
Who we are looking for:
- Skills in embroidery and/or needlepoint or a willingness to learn to stitch is essential for this role.
- Ideally some teaching experience or experience working with socially-excluded groups.
- Someone with a non-judgemental attitude and commitment to rehabilitation.
- Someone who is an excellent team worker.
- Someone who is good at observing personal boundaries.
Commitment: our stitching groups run for 2 hours every fortnight, so with travel time and some admin work after groups we ask prison volunteers to set aside a morning or afternoon every 2 weeks.
You must be over 18 for this role with the ability to travel to the prison. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the charity.

Time commitment
Approximately one day per month. Please note that this time commitment will be spread across multiple days and is likely to be cyclical.
There are four board meetings per annum. Board meetings tend to be online, but face-to-face, or hybrid meetings may take place from time to time. There would also be a commitment of two to four committee meetings per annum, a board strategy or development day and site visits. Each trustee will also belong to at least one committee.

Role Description

Mae gennym strategaeth newydd uchelgeisiol ar gyfer 2025-2028, sy'n cynnwys ein cynlluniau i dyfu – sydd yn dechrau gyda'n cyfnod presennol o drawsnewid o fod yn sefydliad nid-er-elw i fod yn elusen gofrestredig.
Os oes ots gennych chi am gyfiawnder a chydraddoldeb byd-eang, ac eisiau cefnogi twf y mudiad Masnach Deg, mae'r rôl hon yn caniatáu i chi siapio cyfeiriad Cymru Masnach Deg a chryfhau cysylltiadau ar draws Cymru ac ymhellach. Dewch i ymuno â ni ar gyfer ein pennod nesaf.
Mae Cymru Masnach Deg wedi'i sefydlu fel cwmni, wedi'i gyfyngu drwy warant gyda statws nid-er-elw., sydd ar hyn o bryd, yn gwneud cais am statws elusennol. Rydym yn gweithio fel rhan o bartneriaeth Hub Cymru Africa (HCA). Ar hyn o bryd, mae Hub Cymru Africa yn cael ei ariannu gan raglen Cymru ac Affrica Llywodraeth Cymru.

Disgrifiad o'r Rôl
Mae rôl y Cadeirydd yn cynnwys arwain y Bwrdd, sicrhau ei fod yn effeithiol o ran gosod diwylliant a chyfeiriad y sefydliad, a chynnal safonau uchel o lywodraethiant. Mae'r Cadeirydd hefyd yn rheoli Pennaeth y tîm staff i gyflawni'r strategaeth, cynlluniau gwaith a'r amcanion. Mae Cadeirydd y Bwrdd yn rhannu'r un cyfrifoldebau cyfreithiol ag aelodau eraill y Bwrdd.
Cyfrifoldebau
- Arwain y Bwrdd i osod a hyrwyddo cyfeiriad strategol Cymru Masnach Deg, a sicrhau bod y Bwrdd yn cael ei lywodraethu'n dda, a dwyn staff i gyfrif.
- Cadeirio cyfarfodydd Bwrdd (tua 4 y flwyddyn), a sicrhau bod y Bwrdd yn gweithredu'n effeithiol, bod cyfarfodydd yn cael eu harwain yn gynhwysol, a bod y Bwrdd yn cyflawni ei ddyletswyddau.
- Gweithredu fel rheolwr llinell ar gyfer Pennaeth Cymry Masnach Deg, gan gynnwys gosod amcanion, a chyfarfodydd un i un rheolaidd i gefnogi a monitro cynnydd.
- Sicrhau bod y Bwrdd yn adolygu ei strwythur, effeithiolrwydd, dirprwyiaethau a pholisïau allweddol, a'i fod yn gweithredu newidiadau y cytunwyd arnynt ôl yr angen.
- Cynrychioli Cymru Masnach Deg i benderfynwyr, sefydliadau partner a'r cyhoedd, gan weithredu fel llysgennad.
