As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· keeping financial records from fundraising events

· encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

What you will be doing

• Overseeing an appropriate programme of awareness raising activities so that potential beneficiaries, volunteers and supporters are aware of SSAFA as first in mind for support.
• Building relationships with the regional and national SSAFA team, local voluntary organisations and, if applicable, SSAFA serving community teams, local military establishments, etc.
• Attending events as a key SSAFA representative.
• Providing timely reports and information to SSAFA’s central office
• Overseeing a programme of meetings including an AGM, branch meetings, committee meetings, training etc.
• Working with other volunteers, regional and national team members to attract and recruit new volunteers as required.
• Work closely with the community engagement co-ordinator to recruit, welcome, induct, support, and manage volunteers in line with SSAFA policies, such as the Volunteering Policy, Volunteer Code of Conduct, Data Protection Policy, and Safeguarding Policy.

Become an Independent Visitor to be matched one to one with a young person in care. You will meet once or twice a month to take them out to do fun activities together. This is an opportunity for our young people to develop a healthy relationship with a trusted adult, have fun and share their worries and feelings if they are ready to do so.

We'll provide full training, all your expenses and ongoing support from dedicated staff. 

This is an opportunity for you to build skills and knowledge within social care and test yourself with real life experience of a young person in care.

We're looking for enthusiastic, committed people to bring their experience, skills and positivity to the lives of young people who have been through tough times. We will be providing training on the following subjects.

Are you passionate about wanting to help young people? 

Do you have 2 to 4 hours to spare, once a month? 

Are you ready to make a long-term, regular, commitment? 

If the answer is yes and you would like to support a child or young person currently in the care of their local authority, then we would love to hear from you. 

Our Independent Visitor Service is looking for volunteers in or near to Stourbridge.

For many children and young people living in foster care can be unsettling. You can make a difference by volunteering as an Independent Visitor. 

We are looking for fun, reliable, and pro-active volunteers from all different cultures, backgrounds and experiences who have a genuine interest in making a difference to the lives of children and young people. 

You will decide with your young person what to do, but activities could include going to the cinema, bowling, playing football, going to a restaurant, riding a bike, or walking in a park. We will match you with a child you share common interests with. 

You do not need experience of working with children and young people, just an interest in their development and welfare. Full training and support are provided 

Here’s a few of the young people we have waiting for a volunteer: 

• Amy (12) lives with an older carer, she would like an active Independent Visitor who can do sports with her. 

• Brad (13) lives in residential care with other young people, he doesn’t have anyone in his family visit. He would like an Independent Visitor to take him out and have fun, like the other young people. 

• Cassie (16) lives with carers in a new town, she doesn’t have any friends in the area yet. She would like an Independent Visitor to help with her confidence and going out in the local area, she loves hot chocolate and cake. 

• Danny (11) lives with foster carers and attends a special school. He would like an Independent Visitor to help him be more independent, he likes parks, aeroplanes, and animals. 

• Emma (9) lives with her carer in a very busy household, she would like an Independent Visitor to spend some time with her on her own trying different activities together.

The Application 

• Volunteering mainly happens at weekends and after school hours as the young people are usually in school during the daytime 

• The role requires commitment of at least 24 months with one visit per month; this ensures stability for the Child or Young Person

Job Description

We are looking for a Volunteer Paid Ads & Media Buyer to plan and manage ethical paid digital campaigns that support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and public awareness.

You will work with the Digital Marketing Director and Marketing team to create ads that reach the right audiences while upholding trauma-informed, safeguarding, and ethical standards.

This role focuses on campaign planning, optimisation, and impact measurement rather than commercial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage paid digital campaigns across social media, search, and display platforms
• Create and optimise campaigns to support fundraising, volunteering, and public education
• Collaborate with designers and copywriters to produce ethical and compelling ad creatives
• Test and analyse audiences, messaging, and creatives to improve performance
• Track campaign metrics such as reach, conversions, and cost per action
• Ensure campaigns comply with safeguarding, data protection, and platform policies
• Document processes for transparency and learning
• Work with analysts and campaign teams to report on results and insights

What We’re Looking For

• Experience or interest in paid digital advertising and campaign management
• Familiarity with platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar
• Ability to manage budgets and optimise campaigns responsibly
• Understanding of performance metrics, testing, and reporting
• Comfort working with sensitive subject matter
• Experience in nonprofit or social impact campaigns is helpful but not required

Thank you for your interest in supporting our new shop in Inverness. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 3 hours per week, and any additional hours are much appreciated.

From stunning boutiques full of designer gems to volume stores where you can grab a bargain, our charity shops are much-loved across Scotland.

We are looking for friendly volunteers to help our shop management team assist customers and donors, and ensure the shop is tidy and well stocked.

Whether you have a passion for customer service and pre-loved fashion, or you would prefer to be behind the scenes in our stockroom, your help could make a difference to people in Scotland who are isolated, scared, or anxious about their condition.

Travel Information: The shop is easy to reach from Inverness city centre, with several bus options available, including the 25, 27, 26A, X25 and 700. It takes around five minutes by bus or about 23 minutes on foot.

Why we want you

We are looking for someone to help our shop management team assist customers and donors and ensure the shop is tidy and well stocked.

Bridge the Gap Ending Digital Poverty C.I.C is a community interest organisation based in Hackney, dedicated to supporting families, children, and the wider community. • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
• To support residents to give feedback on what they have learnt

• Knowledge of basic first aid

Commitment

The role requires a weekly commitment of around 3-6 hours on a weekly basis.
