Sense is a leading disability charity with extensive knowledge and expertise in delivering personalised, creative and flexible support for disabled people with complex needs. Our tailored approach ensures that every person is empowered to live fully at every stage of life.

About the role:

As a community champion volunteer you’ll be supporting Sense’s fundraising team, playing a vital role in helping Sense to raise funds and awareness to support people with complex disabilities. 

You’ll engage with individuals, local businesses, and regional press to share our mission, organise events, and inspire others to take action. Whether you’re great at planning events, researching opportunities or connecting with your community, this role has something for you.  

This is a flexible role, with the opportunity to volunteer either virtually or in your local community. We are looking for volunteers able to offer a minimum commitment of 2 hours per month. 

We’re looking for people who are passionate about Sense’s work to support disabled people with complex needs and who have a calm, kind and friendly personality.

Please note that you will not be providing care for the people Sense supports as part of this role.

Due to the nature of the volunteer role, we cannot accept applications for anyone under the age of 18.

The four areas of the role:

As a Community Champion, you’ll have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities, organised into four main role categories. You can choose to get involved in one or more of these areas, and we’ll discuss your preferences with you as part of the application process. Please note, we don’t expect volunteers to take on every area. Instead, we’ll focus on what interests you most and shape the role around your strengths and skills.

Event volunteer:

Support Sense’s Community Fundraising team by:

• Organising your own fundraising events in aid of Sense.
• Supporting and participating in fundraising events at your local Sense services, and shops.
• Supporting with fundraising admin, for example sourcing prizes for Sense fundraisers.

Skills needed:

• Creative, with fresh fundraising ideas and enthusiasm.
• Organised, with the ability help co-ordinate multiple aspects of an event.

Local public relations (PR) volunteer:

Boost Sense’s profile in your local community by:

• Writing content for local press releases.
• Building a network of local media contacts.
• Supporting regional output of national campaigns. 

Skills needed:

• Strong written communication
• Able to follow branding and messaging guidelines.
• Self-motivated and proactive in seeking opportunities. 

Fundraising researcher:

Help boost Sense’s regional income by researching available grants, partnerships and other local connections. Responsibilities include:

• Researching local grants and business partnerships.
• Researching networking events.
• Helping us to source prizes for Sense fundraising events.

Skills needed:

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
• Organised, ensuring new leads are accurately recorded and shared. 

Community connector:

Act as an ambassador for Sense, attending events across your community to thank supporters, and forge new partnerships.

• Attending cheque presentations, thanking our supporters.
• Giving presentations about Sense to local schools and community groups.
• Engaging with local businesses and groups, to forge new relationships for Sense.

Skills needed:

• Strong communication skills and enjoys public speaking opportunities.
• Well-connected in their local area, and love engaging with people.

A charity  based in  Croydon, Surrey, London, UK is looking for volunteer Charity Volunteer Assistants; to volunteer 30 unpaid hours per week. The Charity serves a multi ethnic community especially people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds. 

Responsibilities:

• To assist in the delivery of events (ours and those we are invited to), projects and our yearly summer community event.
• To assist in the daily collection and drop off of Greggs after day produce to various soup kitchens
• To assist in promotion of organisations services. eg flyer distribution, school workshops, etc.
• To assist in the delivery of essential services 
• To assist in our soup kitchen projects

Person Specification:

• Someone enthusiastic and passionate about charity work and committed to working towards the achievements of the charities objectives.
• Knowledege of Black and ethnic minority tradition/culture is preferable however not essential.
• Experience is desirable.

This is a non-paid one year temporary position however accommodation and maintenance will be provided.

The Befriender 'In Home' Volunteer will play an important role by providing companionship to someone we support at our supported living service in Aylesbury, by spending time with them, visiting them in the home and doing activities they enjoy. These might include chatting over shared interests & hobbies, reading books, playing board games or arts & crafts.

Who are Dance Professionals Fund? 

Dance Professionals Fund is an award-winning registered CIO providing financial and wellbeing support to dancers, dance teachers and choreographers. Our dedicated services bring together a range of effective ways of supporting dance professionals, including financial grants, signposting to support services, injury rehabilitation, career upskilling support and access to professional counselling. Dance professionals will receive holistic support from us whatever their situation. 

Role Description 

We are seeking trustees to join us from January 2027 for an initial term of three years.We are looking for a range of skills and experience, including: 

• Experience and/or specialism in commercial dance or street dance

• A recreational dance teacher and/or owner of a dance school 

• Background/experience in finance in a senior role or on a charity Board 

• Experience within a benevolent fund as either as staff or trustee

• Background in legal expertise, in a senior role or on a charity Board 

• Strong communication skills, comprehensive networking experience

SeeAbility Volunteer Drivers play an important role in the lives of those in need of a friendly driver. Many of the people we support have their own vehicles, so you will need to be happy to drive these. You will make a difference by being a reliable driver to take them to appointments and activities.

• To be able to assist when necessary with sighted guidance/orientation

This role is working therapeutically alongside a child/young person on one of our bereavement support programmes in a group setting.  Ideally you will have experience in working with children.

You will be working therapeutically with your allocated child.  You will have a group leader who will guide you through the structure of each day. There is also a program manager who will oversee and facilitate the whole weekend program.

You will also be expected to attend a debrief at the end of the weekend and also complete detailed documentation on the child/ young person you have been working with.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided during a weekend.  We will pay 45 pence per mile to cover your travel expenses. We will provide training (Safeguarding Children, Volunteer Induction Day and other specialist training days).

You will also have the opportunity to observe a weekend programme in action before you work with a child / young person. We will pay for your DBS check and provide you with a t-shirt with our logo on.

Neuroverse Community CIC supports disabled and neurodivergent young people aged 12–16 who are unable to access school. We deliver LAMDA drama, Science and neuro-affirming education in Nailsworth and Stroud, Gloucestershire — as a registered LAMDA Private Examination Centre.

Our disabled and neurodivergent Founder is an ex-Charity Director, multi-award-winning education professional, former SENDCO and LAMDA Grade 8 holder. She has personally founded, run and delivered Neuroverse for 2 years, entirely voluntarily.

Do you want to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people? Volunteer with our award-winning charity as a Qualifying/Qualified Therapist and help bring compassionate, accessible support to those who need it most.

We are currently recruiting for trainee or qualified therapist placements for our Express Plus arts therapy service. Express Plus offers creative, client-led therapy for children and young people aged 7–18 (or up to 25 where additional needs are present). The service runs during term-time only, with sessions held after school in Family Hubs located in the three most deprived wards of Westminster. We work within a community setting and place a strong emphasis on reflective, responsive practice.

To apply, candidates must be in the 2nd year of, or have completed, one of the following training courses:

• Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
• Systemic/Family therapy
• Counselling and Psychotherapy (ideally with some external experience of working with CYP in any setting)
• Art Psychotherapy

About Wekume
Wekume — meaning “Protect Yourself” in Luganda — is a dynamic, startup transforming access to sexual and reproductive health for university students and young people in Uganda. Through our mobile platform and on-the-ground community engagement events, we support them in accessing trusted information, testing, referrals, support services, and rewards for taking charge of their health.
Our work happens both online and in physical spaces through:

• Campus activations and university outreach.
• Hostel events and student engagement programs.
• Community health awareness events.

Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and well-connected Partnerships Strategist to build and manage a diverse partnership ecosystem. You will secure funding, policy backing, event visibility, university adoption, and technical collaboration all in service of scaling Wekume’s reach and impact.
You will sell Wekume’s mission, credibility, and outcomes to anyone who can accelerate our work.

Key Responsibilities. 
Rewards Program Partnerships

• Identify and onboard businesses, brands, restaurants, cafés, transport providers, telecom companies, gyms, entertainment spaces, and student-focused service providers into the Wekume rewards ecosystem.
• Develop partnerships that provide discounts, vouchers, sponsored products, experiences, or loyalty rewards for students engaging with Wekume services and events.
• Pitch the value of the Wekume student network and demonstrate how partners can increase visibility and engagement among university students and young people.
• Track partnership KPIs, including the number of partners onboarded, rewards redeemed, student engagement levels, and repeat partner collaborations.

Campus & Community Engagement

• Work closely with campus ambassadors and outreach teams to integrate rewards into hostel activations, campus events, testing drives, referrals, and community engagement programs.

• Support campaigns that encourage students to earn points through positive health actions, event participation, referrals, and app engagement.

•  Help partners activate their brands during Wekume events and student-focused campaigns.

• University Partnerships

• Pitch and onboard universities that is engage Vice-Chancellors, Deans of Students, University Health Services, and Counselling Centers.

• Integrate Wekume into orientation week, student handbooks, health modules, and peer education programs.

• Train student leaders, peer educators, and campus ambassadors to promote the app as a confidential first-line resource.

• Track university level KPIs: schools partnered, student reach, app activations, questions asked.

Donor & Funder Partnerships

• Identify and cultivate relationships with bilateral or multilateral donors 
• Build relationships with trusts, foundations, and high net worth individuals focused on adolescent health, gender equality, and education.
• Lead or support grant proposal development, reporting, and donor stewardship.
• Explore results-based financing or impact-linked partnerships.

Government & Public Sector Partnerships 

• Engage Ministries of Health, Education, Youth Affairs, and Higher Education to align Wekume with national SRHR strategies.
• Secure government endorsements, data privacy clearances, and potential integration into public university health programs.
• Advocate for Wekume as a recognized digital health tool for young people.

Event & Activation Funders 

• Partner with event funders, corporate CSR arms, and youth-focused brands to sponsor campus activations, health fairs, and awareness campaigns.
• Secure cash or in-kind sponsorship for Wekume-led events.
• Build a calendar around high-visibility moments for example World Contraception Day, Menstrual Hygiene Day, Youth Day.

NGO & Technical Partners 

• Collaborate with SRHR-focused NGOs, youth-led organizations, gender justice groups, and mental health initiatives.
• Build referral networks so students using Wekume can access in-person care where needed.
• Jointly apply for funding or advocacy campaigns**.**

**Qualifications**

• 3–5 years in partnerships, business development, fundraising, or external relations across at least two of:

• Donor or funder engagement

• Government liaison

• University/institutional partnerships

• Corporate/NGO collaboration

• Proven track record of securing funding, institutional commitments, or strategic partnerships.

• Excellent proposal writing, pitching, and negotiation skills.

• Deep understanding of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and the barriers young people face.

• Ability to translate mission impact into partner-specific value propositions.

• Willingness to travel for partner meetings.

As a Volunteer Musician, you will bring joy, comfort, and connection to the people we support, by sharing live music. Your performances will provide meaningful engagement, foster a sense of community, and enhance emotional and mental well-being.

• Play musical instruments or sing for small groups or individuals.

Tailor performances to the preferences and needs of the people we support (e.g., familiar songs or soothing melodies).

• Encourage the people we support to sing along or participate in simple ways (e.g., clapping, tapping rhythms).

• Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere during your sessions.

• Adjust your style or volume to suit the home setting and individuals’ sensitivities.

• Be attentive to the emotional and physical responses of individuals during performances.

• Work with care home staff to schedule performances and understand the unique needs of the residents.

• Communicate any concerns or noteworthy interactions with staff.

Skills required

• Proficiency in at least one musical instrument or singing.

• Warm, friendly, and compassionate demeanour.

• Patience and adaptability to engage with people of varying abilities and preferences.

• A genuine interest in contributing to the well-being of the people we support.

To ensure the safety of the people we support, we require a DBS check and two satisfactory references before a volunteer role is confirmed. As you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also be required to undertake safeguarding training, as well as any training which is specific to the role.

To support qualified staff in creating a welcoming environment for families attending breastfeeding and infant feeding sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Welcome parents and carers to infant feeding sessions, making them feel at ease.

· Offer encouragement, reassurance, and a listening ear to families, providing peer support under staff guidance.

· Support with preparing and tidying away resources used during sessions.

· Model sensitivity, respect, and inclusivity when discussing feeding choices.

· Promote the benefits of breastfeeding and infant feeding best practices (Hertfordshire Family Centres are Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accredited through UNICEF)
