As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best, whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

Outreach Worker

Through your outreach, you’ll provide advice, advocacy and direct frontline support to individuals experiencing homelessness or hardship. You will connect them with survival essentials, safe accommodation and guide them toward vital services that improve wellbeing and independence.

What will you be doing?

You’ll carry out outreach across the community, building trust with people experiencing homelessness or crisis. The role includes distributing essential items, offering advice and signposting around housing, benefits, healthcare and employment, and supporting access to education and training. You’ll also assist with project coordination, fundraising activities and help promote our work and values through social media and community engagement.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable people who are comfortable working hands-on in the community and are enthusiastic about supporting vulnerable individuals. You’ll be a good listener and communicator, able to build positive relationships and offer guidance with empathy and respect. A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset is important. Experience in outreach or working with vulnerable groups is not essential; the right attitude and caring nature matter the most.

Your input will have a direct impact on people’s lives and help reduce homelessness in Birmingham. You’ll support individuals to build confidence, resilience and self-worth, helping them regain control by removing barriers that can hold people back and supporting them towards a more secure and hopeful future.

Oxford Friends of the Earth is looking for a new Coordinator. We are a voluntary group with 1800+ supporters and focus on climate action, nature and climate solutions, clean rivers, air pollution, and transport.  We run events, lobby MPs and councillors, produce reports and we have strong partnerships across Oxfordshire and with national bodies. We have existed since the 1970s and meet as a group monthly in central Oxford.We are part of the Friends of the Earth global network, working to protect and improve our environment locally and nationally.

Our current Coordinator is taking a break: we’d like to find someone who can commit to offering a few hours most weeks and attending our monthly meetings.

This involves:

· Setting up meetings and managing our monthly mailing

· Working with our Campaigns Officer to develop our campaigns

· Working with our social media officer to develop our engagement

· Working with other volunteers on specific campaigns / projects

· Exploring opportunities for us to gain support

· Maintaining our supporter database and being a point of contact for people interested to know more about the group

· Managing and developing our website

· Supporting event planning and management

The post would suit anyone seeking to develop their organisational skills for a career in voluntary and environmental sectors.  We can offer on-the-job and formal training and support for people wishing to get involved, and can pay travel and related expenses.

On the first Monday of each month we hold Network update meetings which all must attend or watch online afterwards. We also have weekly Monday and monthly Thursday meetings.

All volunteers to take part in the delivery of the session they would be expected to assist in the delivery. For example attending a BLS with AED session before supporting this in the community.

All community volunteers will be invited to attend an interview either in person or via teams with a panel formed of a hiring manager, member of the network and a nominated member of youth. There will be further

Multiple welcome events will be arranged including online and in person options. The location of these are to be confirmed for the mid program sessions (In Marsden village) and any running up to this will be conducted at the Huddersfield Hub. Each welcome event will include an interview, an introduction to the network as well as CPR practice.

We need your help creating compelling digital assets and engaging resources.

Numberfit is a social enterprise that works to make Maths learning fun and engaging for children across all age groups. We are looking to grow our reach, and with this our team.

You will be working alongside a small team including our founder and operations team, creating compelling digital assets and resources, including: 

- teaching resources

- teaching equipment

- social media content

- stories and much more

• Has graphic design/illustration experience

We are looking for a Volunteer Field Assistant who is passionate about community storytelling and documentary-style media.
This role will support our interview sessions by helping to capture footage, assist with equipment, and help identify individuals willing to share their stories. The role may also involve filming secondary camera angles, capturing supporting footage, or conducting brief interviews with participants when multiple conversations are taking place.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in filmmaking, journalism, community media, or social impact storytelling.
 
Key Responsibilities
Supporting Community Interviews
•        Assist with filming interviews with members of the public
•        Capture secondary camera angles or supporting footage
•        Help ensure audio and camera equipment are working properly
•        Support the interviewer during conversations when needed
Community Engagement
•        Approach potential participants respectfully and explain the project
•        Help identify individuals who may wish to share their story
•        Conduct brief interviews or conversations when appropriate
Equipment Support
•        Assist with setting up and managing filming equipment
•        Help monitor cameras, microphones, and recording during interviews
•        Capture additional footage of the environment and surroundings
Storytelling Support
•        Help identify meaningful stories within the community
•        Support documentation of interviews and participant details
•        Provide feedback on footage captured during field sessions
Additional Filming Opportunities
Where appropriate, the role may include:
•        Capturing alternative camera angles
•        Recording short additional interviews while another interview is taking place
•        Capturing drone footage were permitted and safe NOT essential but desirable
 
Skills & Experience (Helpful but Not Required)
We welcome volunteers from different backgrounds. Experience in the following areas is helpful:
•        Basic camera operation (DSLR, mirrorless, or smartphone filming)
•        Using microphones or audio recording equipment
•        Understanding of interview framing and filming techniques
•        Interest in documentary filmmaking or storytelling
Additional useful skills include:
•        Drone operation (with appropriate UK licensing)
•        Journalism or interview experience
•        Video editing knowledge
•        Experience working in community or outreach environments
 
Personal Qualities

GreenSeas Trust is looking for a creative and environmentally conscious individual to help us grow our presence on Instagram. If you have a way with words, a passion for marine conservation, and an eye for what makes a post pop — we’d love to have you on board.

Requirements: 

• Plan and write engaging posts to widen the reach of GreenSeas Trust.
• Monitor Instagram account on a daily basis.
• Search for relevant articles that share our views on ocean plastics.
• Engage with our followers and increase the numbers.
• Be able to design graphics and posts using Canva.
• Be able to use the Meta Business platform for analytics. 

This is a UK based work from home position. 

You must be able to work individually and collectively as part of a small team. 

Fluency in English is a must. 

This is a volunteer opportunity for would be film & TV makers to make film & video for public benefit. No prior skills are required. Our spring 26 train and shoot volunteer package is designed to help you make factual programmes with us.  A dynamic blend of online and face-to-face sessions, all volunteers receive immersive camera training using WORLDwrite’s top-end film equipment and invaluable hands-on experience behind the lens. This opportunity is open to everyone, regardless of your level of experience, whether you’re a seasoned Hollywood director or have never touched a camera. During the package we will be filming play readings of C.L.R James Black Jacobins and inspiring talks at Hackney Film Festival. One evening a week via Zoom and 8 weekend days face to face is all it takes! All volunteers are credited for their input, references are provided along with travel expenses to shoots and lunches on training & shoot days.

Dacorum Citizens Advice is seeking additional trustees to join the board.

We are a charity that supports residents of Dacorum providing free, confidential, impartial advice through a team of paid staff and highly trained volunteers

What will you be doing?

Being a free advice provider our services are in great demand and client need is only likely to increase.  With our Centre team expanding to cope with this we need to recruit additional trustees with experience of managing whether a business, charity or people. The skills that we are particularly looking to gain on our Trustee Board are in Marketing & Communications, HR and in Fundraising.

What are we looking for?
