Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career development professional to build hands-on experience in community fundraising and operational support. Based in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin, the Junior Fundraising and Operational Support Officer will play a key role in strengthening SEED’s community fundraising and supporting crowdfunding campaigns.

A core part of the role will be providing exceptional care to SEED’s community fundraisers, incoming staff and volunteers ensuring timely and professional communication. The postholder will lead volunteer and staff onboarding, supporting smooth and well-prepared arrivals in country, enhance communications and digital content, and assist with operational systems that underpin SEED’s work. 

The role will build strong relationships with schools, workplaces, running clubs, and community organisations in donor countries, supporting them to raise vital funds and awareness for SEED’s work. This will include identifying and researching new fundraising opportunities, stewarding community fundraising activities (such as bake sales and seasonal campaigns), and supporting fundraisers and volunteers to use third-party platforms effectively. 

Working within a collaborative national and international team, this is an office-based role with occasional field visits with opportunities to gain experience across fundraising, operations, and the realities of working in international development practice in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

​Jaress Agfinance Limited is seeking a passionate volunteer to support our mission of empowering women smallholder farmers in Nigeria through climate-smart agriculture and financial inclusion.

The volunteer will help identify grant opportunities, climate finance programs, impact investors, donor partnerships, and funding opportunities that align with our work in agriculture, women empowerment, renewable energy, and rural finance.

Summary of Role

As a Volunteer Compliance Operations Analyst, you will support the Finance function by ensuring that Solution Community’s financial processes, documentation, and internal controls align with nonprofit compliance standards. The Mindful Foundation is a growing UK charity working across abuse prevention, emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, and victim support. We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser to help us find and apply for grants to support our work.

You would mainly support funding applications and grant research for our three core projects:

• Think Different: Prevent Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care.

A discreet victim support app designed to help people experiencing abuse access support safely.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising, bid writing, grant research, or the charity sector, or someone wanting to build experience whilst contributing to meaningful work.

This is a flexible remote volunteer role of around 3–6 hours per week. There is potential for the role to become paid in future as the charity grows and funding develops.

Will you share your counselling or psychotherapy skills as a counsellor or therapist to join an online counselling service for patients and families affected by a chronic pain condition (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)?

We're looking for 3 qualified counsellors, psychotherapists or psychologists volunteers ideally with some experience of working with chronic pain patients or lived experience of chronic illness, who may want to volunteer their skills supporting our adult service users (aged 18 & over) and help us to continue developing a mental health support service. 

As a Volunteer Counsellor/Therapist you’ll be providing remote counselling/therapy support services to adults aged 18 and over many of whom are isolated and in need of mental health services. You’ll be providing one-to-one counselling/therapy sessions online via Zoom or by phone. With your recognised counselling qualifications and experience you will be an asset to our small charity and to our services users.  

Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, our volunteer counsellors / therapists provide person centred counselling (general talking counselling) or integrative counselling, or specialist services such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, CFT and EMDR for CRPS patients, or their families & close relatives.

People will be referred both by health or legal professionals as well as having patients and carers themselves referring into to the service.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your counselling and therapy skills, organisation, communication and team working skills.

Most importantly you’ll be providing essential services that help make sure no one has to face CRPS alone. Be the hope for CRPS.

What the role involves

This role may vary depending on needs, but is likely to include:

• Undertake client assessments following triage by Clinical Lead, followed by counselling / therapy (via Zoom or phone) to our clients, offering up to 20 sessions for each client plus a check in and 4 psychometric assessments

• Providing one-to-one counselling sessions to clients aged 18 & over

• Update our database with the client’s information, sessional notes and session attendance

• Maintain succinct, relevant session notes and store these confidentially and securely in acccordahce with GDPR

• Attending and participating in monthly group supervision support of 1.5 hours a month

• Attend CPD training to ensure your knowledge stays current

• Participating in volunteer meetings
• Maintaining client confidentiality, upholding data protection and equal opportunities principles

We can support you to develop the skills you need for this role, including a full induction. You will have a chance to discuss your role and any additional needs with us. We can offer you a supervisor as well as expenses for annual insurance and an external supervisor if required.

What you need for this role

Essential

• Be a member (including student membership) of one of the recognised membership organisations (see below)
• Level 4 Diploma level qualifications as a minimum (unfortunately no students at this time), Degree or Masters in Counselling, Counselling/Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, EMDR 
• Minimum of 100 hours supervised
• Proof of professional indemnity insurance annually - we may consider paying this as an expense but commitment to the charity is required
• A valid DBS certificate (enhanced version), which is less than three years old and renewed every three years (the charity can provide where necessary)
• Able to keep people’s personal data safe

• Willing and able to provide counselling via Zoom from a private location with a stable WiFi connection

• Able to support a minimum of 3 clients a week, being three hours of your time for therapy sessions plus time for administration and attending group supervision for 1.5 hours a month. We ideally hope you to offer the charity a minimum commitment of six months.

You will join the charity during a critical and challenging period where referrals are on the rise and your expert knowledge and experience will be invaluable to our success. You will have a key role in not only developing a counselling service for our clients but also ensure we provide counselling services and mental health support to our CRPS patients & their families who are in need of our support and inclusion on a regular basis. With your help we will expand our support and mental health services to ensure our service users receive mental health support that they may not have been offered.

We are looking for a volunteer, preferably with corporate fundraising experience to research the corporate giving landscape and the interests of potential doners. As a Corporate Fundraising Volunteer for unpaid carers, you will play a key part in helping Carers Trust Hillingdon & Ealing secure funding that enables us to continue and expand our vital services for unpaid carers across the borough.

Your support will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for carers by enabling new services, resources, and opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with good communication and organisational skills who enjoys building connections and making a tangible difference in the community.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify potential corporate doners and partners whose corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals align with our mission and values.

• Approach local and national businesses over the telephone to inform them of the work of Carers Trust Hillingdon & Ealing

• Keep accurate records of all approaches and outcomes.

• Attend and help organise fundraising events that support our mission.

Who we are

Trans+ Learning Lab is a UK CIC delivering life‑changing education and training to gender‑diverse folks in challenging contexts.

The Trans+ Learning Lab CIC is made up of myself (the founder) Helmut (they/them, he/him) and the Uganda Lead, Mama Mityana (she/her). The Uganda Lead receives a part-time wage to deliver stakeholder advocacy and training services in her country; I do not pay myself, and I finance everything from project delivery to procurement from my own savings. 

We are seeking volunteer fundraisers to help us promote, update, and widely share our active and future GoFundMe campaigns and to help us form a funding pipeline in a more raitonal, proactive manner.

In our current project and campaign, we are trying to raise essential funds toward our Uganda training and upskilling incubator project in partnership with Tranz Network Uganda. This particular GoFundme campaign supports the delivery and sustainability of our entrepreneurship incubator.

With future fundraising and comms, you will be involved in shaping our strategy to generate income to implement our other educational mission: to deliver low- or no-cost coding bootcamps to vulnerable LGBTQ+ communities in Africa and South Asia, and to deliver refugee-specific empowerment programmes.

You will be actively helping vulnerable people access safer, more sustainable livelihoods through upskilling in Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan and beyond.

• Promoting the GoFundMe campaign across your personal and professional networks in the first instance
• Help us design the strategy for, and support, future crowdfunding campaigns and comms
• Sharing campaign updates and calls to action on social media, newsletter and relevant community spaces
• Helping amplify key messages, milestones and calls to action

Who we’re looking for

• Someone confident sharing and generating impactful, engaging fundraising content and asking people to donate
• Someone active on social media and well connected to communities, networks and organisations
• Someone with direct experience of corporate responsibility schemes and engagement (desirable)
• A versatile, excellent written communicator
• A person who is reliable, values‑driven, and above all, respectful and supportive of trans‑led work

Ideally you will have accrued 2-3 years' professional fundraising and campaigning experience in the non-profit sector, but if you have an equivalent voluntary and pro bono expertise in minority causes advocacy and supporter-network building your application is warmly welcomed too.

Commitment: We estimate this role requires 4–6 hours per week, with flexibility to manage your own time. All meetings are remote and scheduled in advance.

About YouthAdvantage UK

YouthAdvantage UK is a volunteer-led, research-based organisation championing the rights and wellbeing of young people aged 11 to 25 across the UK. We influence national policy, deliver grassroots projects, and elevate youth voice in key debates; from education to mental health, climate action to justice reform.

We are seeking a passionate, committed Head of Governance & Legal to join our senior leadership team and help shape the strategic foundations that support our work.

About the role

As Head of Governance & Legal, you will lead a small team focused on risk, compliance, and governance excellence. You will ensure our work is rooted in sound legal and ethical frameworks and will support our growth with robust, transparent policies and guidance. You’ll also provide strategic support to our Board of Trustees and act as the senior point of contact for all legal matters.

This is an ideal opportunity for a governance, legal, or compliance professional looking to gain sector leadership experience while supporting a values-driven youth organisation.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support the Governance & Legal Support Manager and team
• Design, update, and implement governance frameworks and organisational policies
• Maintain regulatory compliance across charity law, safeguarding, and data protection
• Liaise with the Board of Trustees - prepare agendas, minutes, and reports
• Oversee legal documentation and contracts
• Maintain and review the organisation’s risk register
• Build relationships with regulators and external legal advisors
• Embed a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical practice

Who we’re looking for

• An experienced lawyer, company secretary, or governance lead
• A compliance or legal professional seeking strategic exposure
• A postgraduate in law or non-profit management looking for leadership experience

 Essential:

• Experience in governance, legal, or compliance leadership (minimum 12 months)
• Familiarity with UK charity law and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to lead and support others with tact and clarity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to equity, youth empowerment, and ethical standards
