As we approach our 40th year, we're developing an ambitious five-year strategy to strengthen our impact, grow our supporter base and build long-term financial sustainability. This new trustee will play an important role in helping us achieve those ambitions.

You don't need previous trustee experience—we welcome applications from first-time trustees as well as those with Board experience. What's most important is that you can bring strategic thinking, good judgement and a collaborative approach.

We're particularly interested in people with experience in one or more of the following:

• Developing or leading fundraising strategy

• Individual giving and donor development

For more than a century, the RAF Benevolent Fund has stood beside the RAF Family;
through war and peace, hardship and change. From the first day in uniform to the final

As the demands on the RAF Family grow in complexity and urgency, so too must the resilience

A bit more information about this role and the team

This volunteer opportunity is perfect for anyone who enjoys being part of local community events and wants to make a meaningful difference for cats across the South West. As a fundraising events helper, you will support a range of enjoyable activities such as craft fairs, coffee mornings, quiz nights, county shows and supermarket collections. Your support at these events helps raise the vital funds needed to care for cats and kittens in need.

Every event you take part in truly makes a difference. Even small amounts go a long way. Just £5 can feed a cat in our care for 25 days, helping us provide the food, warmth and comfort they rely on.

You do not need previous experience. All you need is a friendly attitude, a willingness to get involved and an interest in helping cats. Whether you prefer setting up stalls, chatting to members of the public or supporting activities throughout the day, there is a place for you on the team. Any time you can give will help us continue our work and support cats who need it most.

This role is very flexible. You can choose to volunteer at a single event for a couple of hours or join multiple events throughout the year. We will keep you updated with upcoming opportunities so you can choose what suits you best.

Wherever you are based in the South West, you will have full support from your fellow volunteers and the Fundraising Hub team. They are always available to offer guidance, resources and encouragement.

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. Role Description

Volunteers are incredibly important to Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity. We cannot achieve our mission without them. They help us reach a wider audience and spread our message to a more diverse group and help us raise vital funds to help communities in Greater Manchester.

Role Purpose

Fundraising Volunteers help us to deliver our portfolio of events throughout the year, across Greater Manchester. This may include helping with organising in the lead up to the event or helping at the actual event, and after. There are many different ways to volunteer with Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity.

Main Activities

Gala Dinner – every March we throw a HUGE bash for businesses in Greater Manchester, up to 400 people join us to raise funds for our work. It’s a lot of fun, but it’s also a lot of hard work and we need people to help on the night with selling raffle tickets, meeting and greeting guests, and generally ensuring the night runs smoothly.

Bus Pull – our annual Bus Pull brings together businesses and groups to pull a bus at Manchester Central to raise funds. It’s a great team building day and the element of competition always makes it a lively event. Duties may include signing in teams and ensuring they know when they are taking part, cheering on teams and generally helping the event run smoothly.

24 Hour Run – another key event on the Manchester calendar attracting over 1,000 participants to run laps of 5km around the city. We need help with signing in runners, organising the groups, cheering them on and welcoming them back and making them feel appreciated for all that they have done!

Winter Campaign – our annual Winter Campaign gains a lot of media interest locally. We are going to be growing this over the coming years with new opportunities for fundraising, this might include events, gatherings or other engagement plan.

What do we need from you?

Reliability – if you sign up as a volunteer please ensure you have the time and capacity to do so. We don’t want to add to your workload! Volunteering for Grater Manchester Mayor’s Charity should be fun and rewarding, not another thing on your ‘to do list’.

Happy to chat – our volunteers are our ‘front face’ at our events and we need to know that you are happy to do that. Of course, we will try to give you a role that takes advantage of your skills, but our events by their very nature are working with people!

Embraces a fast paced environment – events are busy places, plans change in an instant, quick thinking is needed. You will need to embrace the chaos!

Behave like a pro – whilst you are at our events or wearing our t-shirts you are #TeamGMMC, we therefore you expect you to behave in a way that does us proud, you are the front face for our brand.

About The Stray Cat Charity (TSCC)

The Stray Cat Charity is a newly established UK-registered CIO working to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray cats in Greece, starting in Patras. Our current priority campaign is to raise £35,000 to build a dedicated stray cat shelter in Patras, Greece, which will provide safe housing, veterinary care, and a pathway to adoption for vulnerable cats. As a growing new charity, we are building our fundraising and outreach network across the UK.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a motivated volunteer to support the growth of our charity by helping identify and connect with potential supporters in their local area. This includes community groups, schools, corporates, and potential major donors who may be interested in supporting or fundraising for stray cats in Greece. The aim of this role is to help generate awareness, build relationships, and support fundraising activity for our current and future campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

The volunteer may support with:

• Researching local community groups, schools, faith groups, and businesses
• Identifying potential corporate partners and supporters in their region
• Contacting organisations to introduce The Stray Cat Charity and its mission
• Encouraging groups to support the charity through donations or fundraising
• Promoting our current campaign to raise £35,000 for a stray cat shelter in Patras, Greece
• Supporting or initiating community fundraising activities where appropriate (e.g. sponsored events, school fundraisers, awareness campaigns)
• Helping to raise awareness of stray cat welfare issues in Greece through local outreach

Eczema Outreach Support (EOS) is a UK-wide charity supporting children and young people with eczema and their families. We want to make sure that no child’s future is lost to eczema. We are a small team making a big impact and we couldn’t do this without the support and expertise of our trustees.

We are looking for four new trustees to join our dynamic team to lead EOS as it moves into the second year of our current organisational strategy. Personal experience of eczema is not essential, however, a commitment to making the lives of families facing this unpredictable condition better is vital.

What will you be doing?

As a trustee you would be part of the EOS Board who are responsible for the strategic oversight of the organisation, managing risk and overseeing the organisation’s finances. This is a strategic role with charity operations being carried out by the staff and volunteer team.

All trustees:

• Attend quarterly online Board Meetings in January, April, July and October. These usually take place on a weekday evening between 8pm and 9:45pm

• Attend the AGM, online, usually in the Autumn during a weekday evening

• Attend the annual away day (in-person, full day during the week).

Accommodation and travel expenses can be reimbursed. We also ask that all trustees are willing to join one sub-committee relevant to their areas of expertise and interests. Sub-committees usually meet once per quarter, online, at a time to suit members.

Where will you be based?

Trustee meetings, senior staff meetings and the AGM all take place online via Zoom. Our Away Day is usually an in-person event. Sub-committee meetings take place online via Zoom or Teams at a time that works for members.

Out of Pocket Expenses

As this is a voluntary role, you won’t be paid for your time, but we will reimburse all reasonable expenses in line with our Expenses Policy.

Safeguarding

EOS is committed to keeping everyone we work with safe. We have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place and will provide you with training relevant to your role. If you ever have a concern about anyone you come into contact with during your volunteering, please speak to our CEO or the Chair of the Board immediately. Trustees are expected to complete some online safeguarding training.

General

To keep everyone safe and supported, all trustees must operate within EOS’s policies and guidelines relevant to their role. In particular, you must agree to and follow the EOS Code of Conduct for Trustees. At the start of every Board Meeting, trustees are also asked to declare any conflicts of interest.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Fundraising to lead and develop our fundraising strategy at a crucial time in Youth Advantage UK's growth. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee a multi-disciplinary fundraising team and play a key role in shaping our strategy to secure the resources needed to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Execute Fundraising Strategy – Develop and drive a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes grant fundraising and aligns with the organisation’s mission and financial goals.
• Manage Fundraising Teams – Provide leadership to Fundraising Managers and the Partnerships Lead, ensuring successful delivery across all fundraising channels.
• Build Relationships with Major Donors – Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key donors, stakeholders, and potential partners to secure long-term support.
• Oversee Fundraising Events – Lead and support the planning, execution, and evaluation of fundraising events that engage donors and raise critical funds.
• Digital Fundraising – Oversee online giving campaigns and strategies to increase digital fundraising engagement and revenue.
• Reporting and Budgeting – Monitor fundraising progress, ensuring targets are met, and provide regular reports to the CEO and Board.
• Team Development – Mentor and coach the fundraising team, ensuring they are motivated, developed, and equipped to excel in their roles.
• Strategic Partnerships – Build and nurture community partnerships that expand our reach and increase funding.
• Brand Advocacy – Act as a passionate ambassador for the charity, enhancing its visibility in the charity sector and promoting its mission.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a dynamic leader with the skills and experience to make a positive impact. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

• Proven experience in fundraising, with a strong track record across digital campaigns, corporate partnerships and grant fundraising.
• Leadership experience in managing and developing fundraising teams or volunteers.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to think big and execute effectively in a resource-constrained environment.
• Hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day operations of fundraising campaigns while being able to step back and think at a strategic level.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for the cause – a genuine belief in the mission of Youth Advantage UK and a commitment to making a difference.
• Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and social media platforms for promoting campaigns (desirable but not essential).
• Previous experience in volunteer-led organisations is a bonus.
• Remote working experience or comfort with managing teams virtually.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach, and onboard affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and other supporters who can help expand the reach of the platform.

This role focuses on building a strong network of individuals and organisations who can introduce creators, promote campaigns, or otherwise support the growth of Influential Stars.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and networks

• Introduce individuals and organisations to the platform and explain how they can get involved

• Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates

• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers

• Encourage ongoing engagement and participation

• Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding

• Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system

• Represent the organisation professionally in all communications

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Experience in outreach, partnerships, business development, or relationship building

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

• Strong networking ability and proactive approach

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contacts

• Professional, reliable, and personable manner

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience in affiliate programmes, partnerships, or community building

• Experience working remotely within a team

• Interest in charitable or social impact work

• Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)

Working Arrangement

• Fully remote position

• Flexible working hours depending on organisational needs

• No travel required. However, if you choose to meet with partners in person, reasonable travel costs will be covered where possible

• Occasional (optional) in person team meetings
