Time Commitment: Approx. 4 Board meetings + 1 strategy day per year

About the role

Trustees play an active role in shaping strategy, addressing key opportunities and risks, and offering support and constructive challenge to the Executive Team. You will join a supportive, engaged and professionally diverse Board to provide strong governance and strategic leadership, working closely with a talented internal team.

We want to be crystal clear that previous Trustee experience is not required – Cavell welcomes both first-time Trustees and experienced Board members. They are committed to building a Board that reflects the diversity of the UK nursing and midwifery workforce. The Board already benefits from the significant expertise of medical professionals and qualified nurses. Job title: Grief In Pieces Honorary Therapists X 2

Responsible to: Senior Suicide Bereavement Practitioner and Clinical Services Manager

Hours: Up to 3 clients per week, 2 hours fortnightly supervision

Contract Length: 12 Months (with option to extend)

Location: Office is located 12 Orsman Road N1 5QJ/Remote

We are recruiting for a clinical placement at Mind City, Hackney and Waltham Forest in the Grief in Pieces: Support for Suicide Loss Team, Psychological Therapies & Wellbeing Department 

A placement in the Grief in Pieces: Support for Suicide Loss team is an opportunity to work in a specialist postvention service, offering 1-2-1 grief counselling to community members bereaved by suicide. This would be a highly valuable honorary placement, where, among other things, you would strengthen your working knowledge of complicated and traumatic grief, and the complexity of the loss and trauma specific to suicide loss. You would have recourse to the team’s expertise and clinical supervision in this area, and you would develop your therapeutic skills through delivering a highly impactful grief counselling model which gently facilitates a process of ‘expressing, connecting and honouring’ with the eventual aim of an individualised journey of post-traumatic growth. 

What are we looking for from our Honorary Therapists (Grief in Pieces):

· Prior experience, at least 100 hours supervised, one to one, clinical work. This placement is best suited as a second or third placement and not a first.

· Be working towards a qualification on a minimum level 5 equivalent course

· Some training in working remotely (online therapeutic work) 

· Availability for one afternoon/evening a week to see up to three clients in-person

· Flexibility to work with clients remotely as is needed, from Mind CHWF premises. It is important that you have a good working laptop from which these can be delivered.

· Availability to attend fortnightly supervision, online 

· Have lived experience of mental health and/or suicidality

· To adhere to the code of practice of their registering body, be professional, kind, compassionate, to have initiative and maintain communications with their colleagues appropriately

· To read, understand and follow the procedures and policies of Mind CHWF

· Attending personal therapy once a week, throughout their placement 

· Candidates able to commit to a minimum of a one-year placement (12 full months). 

We also welcome applications from newly qualified therapists who are seeking to expand their experience and gain clinical hours towards accreditation. We encourage applications from those who speak one or more community languages and from those who reflect the rich diversity of our clients.

DBS clearance at Enhanced (without Barring) is required for this role, for which Mind CHWF will pay.

·Proven track record in developing and delivering a successful communications strategy that supports engagement and fundraising objectives.

Key responsibilities

In addition to general trustee duties, this role will:

·Advise on communications and engagement strategy at a board level.

·Support the enhancement/further development of the charity’s reputation, messaging and public profile.

·Offer insight into reaching and engaging key audiences and stakeholders.

·Act as an ambassador for the charity’s mission and impact in line with our organisational values.

Trustees do not have operational responsibilities but are there to provide collective oversight. All trustees share collective responsibility for the governance, strategy and success of the charity. We are looking for individuals who can provide support and challenge in a positive and constructive way to enable the Executive leadership team to deliver DWCT’s strategic goals.

Location: Remote, with a minimum of 3-4 hours of overlap with UK working hours.

Purpose of these volunteer roles

We are seeking 2–3 enthusiastic volunteers to help us clear a backlog of membership applications, process new applications, and maintain, manage, and optimise our Salesforce platform. To meet our needs, we are recruiting for two distinct volunteering roles based on level of Salesforce expertise:

Role 1: Data Entry & administration – Perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on database experience, or those who are passionate about data accuracy and enjoy structured, routine administrative tasks. You will focus on day-to-day data entry, updating member records, and maintaining high data accuracy.

Role 2: Salesforce optimisation & reports (experienced Salesforce specialist) – Designed for individuals with extensive Salesforce expertise. You will focus on building custom reports, creating dashboards, and optimising system workflows to improve efficiency.

Both roles are essential for ensuring our membership data is up-to-date and accurate, GNDR gets the most out of our Salesforce platform, and our global communications are impactful, targeted and relevant to our members.

What you will be doing

Data Entry & Administration:

• Process a backlog of existing membership applications and handle new member applications, ensuring details are accurately entered into Salesforce
• Assist in managing member groups, mailing lists, and automated workflows
• Monitor and maintain the data quality and integrity of member records
• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator and Regional Leads on membership administration and work plans
• Provide first-level support to internal users (e.g. fixing minor issues, updating records and correcting errors).

Salesforce Optimisation & Reports for Salesforce Experienced Volunteers:

• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator, Regional Leads, ED and consultant on optimising our use of the platform
• Create and customise reports and dashboards to track membership growth, event attendance, and member engagement
• Suggest and implement system and workflow improvements and optimise Salesforce use.

What we are looking for

• Communication skills: Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical team members
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy with a commitment to data quality and integrity
• Technical expertise: Confidence working with Google Workspace, spreadsheets and databases
• Data security: Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and cyber security best practice
• Remote work set-up: Access to a reliable internet connection and to an up-to-date laptop or computer
• For Salesforce optimisation & reports: Prior extensive hands-on experience working with Salesforce. Salesforce certification is highly desirable.

• The researcher will help to collect information that can be used as an evidence base to help inform future activities, and also in exhibitions, workshops, and community events. 

• We are looking for a self-starter who can source, collect, and share relevant materials independently. You will also be working closely with our Professional Development Programme participants in relevant areas such as Marketing and PR.

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Dance Professionals Fund is an award-winning registered CIO providing financial and wellbeing support to dancers, dance teachers and choreographers. Our dedicated services bring together a range of effective ways of supporting dance professionals, including financial grants, signposting to support services, injury rehabilitation, career upskilling support and access to professional counselling. Dance professionals will receive holistic support from us whatever their situation. 

Role Description 

We are seeking trustees to join us from January 2027 for an initial term of three years.We are looking for a range of skills and experience, including: 

• Experience and/or specialism in commercial dance or street dance

• A recreational dance teacher and/or owner of a dance school 

• Background/experience in finance in a senior role or on a charity Board 

• Experience within a benevolent fund as either as staff or trustee

• Background in legal expertise, in a senior role or on a charity Board

The Finance specialist trustee will be an important member of ACCT UK’s Board.
