This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and enjoys supporting behind the scenes. Tasks will vary, but the goal is simple: help make my workload lighter so I can focus on growing and leading my work.
What You’ll Help With:

Grant Writer Volunteer Support

Role Description
Join HeadGym Foundation as a volunteer and be part of a team striving to improve the health outcomes and well-being of children in Cambodia.
What you’ll do:

• Conduct Research on grant opportunities
• Identify potential funders and grant-making organizations.
• Maintain our pipeline of prospects, applications, and deadlines.

• Support the Executive Director on stewardship of foundation relationships to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Role Purpose

The Head of Department (Legal) oversees a team of dedicated legal professionals and graduates who operate in a capacity similar to paralegals. You will bridge the gap between Directors and the legal team, turning high-level objectives into actionable legal support plans while ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct and social justice advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Oversight: Developing and managing the legal department’s roadmap to support Quilombo UK’s social justice initiatives.

• Team Supervision: Overseeing the work of legal graduates, many of whom are working towards their LLM (Master of Laws), ensuring their contributions are technically sound and ethically grounded.

• Departmental Leadership: Coaching the legal team to maintain 100% project visibility and ensuring all work meets the rigorous standards required for future SRA accreditation.

• Social Justice Advocacy: Managing caseloads and research projects that tackle systemic inequalities and discrimination within the community.

• Operational Control: Maintaining 100% visibility of all legal tasks via project management tools and providing weekly reports to Directors on risks, progress, and Work in Progress (WIP).

Unlocking Potential - Breaking Down Barriers

Our partner is an environmental charity focused on protecting and restoring forests and supporting the communities that depend on them, with a particular emphasis on East Africa.

The Treasurer will join the Board of Trustees and provide oversight of financial management and governance. Working closely with the CEO and Finance Manager, the role includes monitoring financial performance, ensuring appropriate controls are in place, supporting budgeting and reporting, and helping trustees interpret financial information. You will also play a key role in overseeing financial processes linked to international operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, with a recognised qualification and experience of organisational accounting. An understanding of charity finance is important, ideally with some exposure to international work. You will be comfortable operating at Board level and able to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.

This role involves four Board meetings per year, alongside Finance Committee involvement and some ad hoc support, with an overall time commitment of around 10-12 days annually.

The friendly Committee of South Harford & Tuckswood Community Association are looking for a new Secretary, if you would be happy to volunteer your time.

We meet once a month at Harford Community Centre on Mondays; usually the third Monday of the month.

The Secretary would prepare meeting agendas and take minutes of the meetings which would need to be processed on MS word.(laptop will be provided)

The Secretary would need to oversee the review cycle of our Centre policies, making sure these are updated as required. They would also need to act as the main point of contact with our HR company.

We have effective systems in place and are looking for an organised individual with good literacy skills to keep these going.
