Grassroots Welsh charity TIR COED has been connecting people with land (Tir) and woodlands (Coed) for over 25 years. We deliver outdoor training, learning and wellbeing programmes in Mid and South West Wales, across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys, successfully benefitting hundreds of people each year in those counties.
Our aim is to reduce health and wealth inequalities for marginalized people, while improving community spaces and biodiversity for the benefit of all.
We are looking for 4 new trustees to deliver good governance for the charity and to help us continue to set and achieve our aims as we move into a new cycle of strategic planning and delivery.
We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. Transferrable management skills or other relevant experience (e.g. HR, law, marketing) in any field is an advantage but experience of being a trustee is not essential: you will be joining a team of experienced trustees from a range of backgrounds in the public and private sectors and training can be arranged.
We welcome applications from young adults who wish to contribute their voices to our work while enhancing management experience. We also welcome applications from former Tir Coed trainees. Our organisation would benefit from more diverse and under-represented voices so please apply even if you haven’t done anything like this before. Our Board of Trustees play a vital role in making sure that WORTH achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management, administration, and governance of the charity. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the CEO to enable WORTH to grow and thrive and support more women in need.
Trustee Duties:
- Support and provide advice on WORTH's purpose, vision, goals, and activities.

- The Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing and presenting the accounts to the Trustee meetings. We have an accountant doing the day-to-day management of our finances.
- The treasurer will work closely with the CEO in putting together the budget and monitoring the accounts.
As a small charity, there will be times when trustees will need to be actively involved beyond Trustee Board meetings. This may involve scrutinising meeting papers, leading discussions, focusing on key issues, providing advice and guidance on new initiatives, or other issues in which the trustee has special expertise.
What we are looking for
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking and skills on our Board of Trustees. We are particularly interested in candidates with business, finance, and fundraising experience.
Previous governance experience is preferable but not essential. The role is open to remote and local applicants.

Terms of office
- Trustees will be appointed for a two-year term of office, with eligibility to renew and serve for two further terms to a maximum of six years.

Time commitment
- Attending a minimum of six trustee board meetings annually, meetings are held remotely via Zoom once every two to three months.
- Attendance at ad hoc trustee meetings in addition to the minimum six annual meetings.

About ThriveSpark Foundation CIO

The Role of our Charity
Our charity mission is to help overcome loneliness and isolation by providing sheltered housing that promotes independence, but where the individual can seek some support to live a healthy lifestyle.
We are a growing and developing Abbeyfield Society who provide excellent rental accommodation in 14 houses across the Wessex region. The aim is to attract older people who can live independently in co-housing and join in with two home cooked meals a day, which are shared with other residents.
The Trustee Role

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) is the leading charity providing peer-to-peer support for adults who have been bereaved or impacted by suicide. We believe that no one should face their loss alone, so we create safe spaces across the UK for people to share and process their grief.
We are seeking compassionate volunteers looking to start up a new peer support group in Aberystwyth.
Who are we looking for?
- Over the age of 18.
- Bereaved by suicide over 18 months ago and confident in your own progress. The impacts of a death by suicide are far-reaching - this could have been a family member, friend, colleague, client, or even a stranger.
- Passionate about supporting others in your community.
- Friendly, trustworthy, and approachable, with good active listening skills.
- Respectful, sensitive, and non-judgmental approach to survivors.
- Comfortable in supporting conversations and managing group dynamics.
- Good communication skills – both spoken & written English.
- A commitment to support the group, your team, and the surrounding community.
How do groups work?
Each group is facilitated by a team of three volunteers who have all been bereaved by suicide themselves. Their role is facilitating meetings, group administration, fundraising and communication for the group as a team. All volunteers are provided with full training before they begin the role and receive support from head office throughout their volunteering journey.
SoBS groups usually meet once a month for around 2 hours, and provide people with an opportunity to listen, share, ask questions, and connect with others in a safe and non-judgemental space.
There is no set structure to a meeting – people are free to talk and listen as much or as little as they want. Topics discussed vary from month to month but often include people sharing their story, how they are feeling, what has happened since their last group visit, questions about coroners and discussions about common challenges such as flashbacks, supporting children or facing neighbours. Established groups may occasionally organise guest speakers, go on walks, or arrange craft workshops.
What will you do?
- Facilitate group sessions – meeting survivors, starting off conversations, allowing space for people to talk (if they want to), and looking out for others.
- Administration & communication – managing enquiries from survivors, providing information and signposting where needed, submitting information to the national office.
- Provide signposting to head office, as well as other local charities and services.

We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Board of Trustees. Ideally we would like to recruit someone with experience in adult safeguarding as this is a key area of focus for our charity.
Would you like to help people on their journey from a life on the streets to independent living? Do you want to develop strategies to address key causes of homelessness and rough sleeping like poor mental and physical health, drug and alcohol addiction, relationship breakdown and entrenched unemployment?
Harrogate Homeless Project is a local charity with 35 years experience in these areas. Our services include a day centre, emergency accommodation, a16-bed hostel, 22 places in move-on housing and partnerships which address drug and alcohol rehabilitation, counselling, poor physical health and skills training alongside other relevant areas.

The Hub @ Greenford Library is an exciting new project run by the Young Ealing Foundation. We are creating a vibrant, inclusive, and multi-functional hub which will operate not only as a community managed library but also provide a wide range of other opportunities and services for the local community.

MARINElife is a science charity that conducts cetacean and seabird research and monitoring by gathering information of key marine species so they can be better protected and we are seeking a Trustee Treasurer. For over 30 Years, we have carried out research, educational and outreach work on whales, dolphins, seabirds and other marine animals in the oceans of North-west Europe. We also provide relevant, robust and up-to-date information to those working for the sustainable future of our oceans.
The vital work is done in partnership with a wide range of sponsoring bodies from ecotourism through to research institutes and shipping companies. Our goal is to help conserve marine animals and to raise awareness of the threats they face by engaging the public and policymakers.
Everyone here has a passion for the marine environment. Our Trustees play a key role and are responsible for the oversight and governance of the charity, including ensuring the charity has the strategy to deliver its aims. They work as a team on the MARINElife Board of Trustees and also take a hands-on lead on specific topics as required.
Day- to- day operation of the charity is carried out by a small and dedicated team. They work with an enthusiastic community of volunteers and supporters, who survey the seas and deliver the data that forms our important contribution to marine science and conservation.
We currently have an opportunity for a Trustee to join us who, in addition to a passion for the marine environment, has the skills to contribute to governance of the charity and the ability to take the lead as our Treasurer.
The overall role of our Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the charity’s affairs; ensure they are compliant and that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. The successful candidate will work with our administrator who manages the day-to-day finances to oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
The Person We’re Looking For:
- Experienced in Finance with a firm understanding of charity finance, knowledgeable in bookkeeping and financial management
- A strategic thinker with an ability to balance risk and opportunity and financial analysis skills to support bids and fundraising activities
- A clear communicator with the ability to explain financial information to the Board of Trustees
- An enthusiastic contributor, willing to play an active role in the development of the Charity and specifically in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, and liaising with auditors
Previous Board or Trustee experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds with a passion for the environment. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance role within the public or charity sector, knowledge and experience of fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary and community organisations and good financial analysis skills.
The Trustee role is voluntary; the time requirement will vary but will require on average a one day a month commitment including Quarterly Trustee board meetings.

A specialist education and care trust based in Surrey is seeking up to five new Trustees to join its committed and values-led Board. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young adults with complex learning and behavioural needs through integrated education, care and therapy.
As a Trustee, you will provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge across the organisation’s education, residential and supported living services. You’ll work closely with the Executive Principal and Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape operational strategy, monitor financial performance, and ensure effective governance.

Emmaus UK is currently undertaking feasibility work to consider the incorporation of an SPV which can become a Registered Provider of Social Housing on behalf of the Emmaus federation in the UK. This is an exciting prospect and would unlock significant potential to achieve our strategic objective to help more people.
To ensure that we are best positioned to pursue this opportunity we are looking to build the expertise of the Emmaus UK Board in:
· Housing Association/Housing Expertise or relevant regulatory expertise - providing strategic input as we develop the subsidiary and proceed with becoming a Registered Provider
· Legal expertise - ideally in a relevant field e.g. charity or corporate governance, housing, property, regulation etc
· Property Acquisition and Development - to support us with providing high quality services and managing sustainable growth
Joining the EUK Board at such a significant moment will enable you to play a key role in the future of Emmaus. You will be an integral part of developing the movement and central to making strategic decisions within EUK as the national body.
