The Role
We are seeking a new Company Secretary to ensure that the Board receives support and the advice necessary for them to discharge their duties in the interests of its members.
Key Responsibilities

Being familiar with the Rules of the Co-operative and being able to advise the Board on its content and compliance with it.

At regular intervals monitor and review legislative, regulators and governance developments that may affect the co-operative and relay this to the Board as and when required.

Understand the values of Filling Good and how they are and can be integrated into the governance of the organisation.

Send members a reminder of their expiring membership one month and then one week before the expiry

Organize the annual AGM, send invitations in due date, make sure that the rules are respected during the AGM (votes, quorum, etc…)

We have 250 local groups which play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS across the UK. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.
We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Dumfries and Galloway group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. You can see a video about one of our Group Coordinators here.
In this role you’ll be able to develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills.
Time Commitment

Role Description:
This role sits within our new Men’s Minds project, based in Hounslow. The aim of the service is to improve men’s mental health outcomes by developing a mental health network supported and directed by the voices of its members.
This will be achieved through three service strands: 1) Peer support network, 2) Psychoeducation workshops, addressing common needs of men’s mental health 3) Outreach support to raise awareness of men’s mental health and promote this service.

As our Honorary Secretary, you won't just be taking minutes; you'll be the organisational backbone of our Board and the guardian of our governance. You'll bring your expertise in administration, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for youth development to help us:

Ensure effective Board operations, including preparing agendas, circulating papers, and accurately recording minutes for all Trustee meetings.

Maintain official charity records, including governance documents, policies, and resolutions.

Facilitate clear communication within the Board and with external stakeholders as needed.

Oversee compliance with Charity Commission regulations and other relevant legal requirements.

Support the Chair in ensuring the Board functions efficiently and effectively.

Current voluntary roles include:

Urban Youth Manager – Spearhead strategy and organisational development in our early growth phase.

Youth Work Manager – Lead programme innovation and support the delivery of high-quality youth services.

Lead Youth Workers – Guide volunteers and lead youth-facing activities across key programmes and locations.

Youth Work Trainers – Support, upskill and inspire volunteers and early-career youth workers through impactful training.

Youth Workers – Deliver sessions, build trusted relationships with young people, and be a steady presence in their development journey. There are also opportunities to later create specific youth work roles such as Employability, Sports, Mental Health, etc.
These flexible roles typically require between 3–6 hours per week, with opportunities to scale as the charity grows.
