Would you like to help our Events & fundraising team? We’re looking for a friendly, organised person who can give just a few hours a week to support our events team at the MK RSPCA. This flexible role can be done in the day or evenings of your choice, and it’s a great way to make a real difference behind the scenes!

Overview of opportunity

Our Events Coordinators are vital in helping us organise fundraising events. This is an excellent volunteering opportunity which would enable you to play a major role in our fundraising activities, really put your flair into the role, and gain a vast amount of personal satisfaction and achievement in return.

Founded in 1824 we have been saving animals for almost 200 years and are proud to be the oldest welfare charity around. It has always been our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion, so our volunteers and employees work tirelessly to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering.

Through our numerous campaigns, we seek to raise standards of care, and awareness of issues, affecting animals today. We rely heavily on our volunteers who play a significant role in enabling us to carry out this important animal welfare work every day!

The RSPCA Milton Keynes & North Bucks Branch

The Milton Keynes & North Bucks Branch is one of the branches of RSPCA, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society of RSPCA.

Volunteer Events Coordinator responsibilities

• Contacting stallholders to follow up on payments and documents
• Keeping our shared Google Drive and spreadsheets tidy and up to date
• Reaching out to local businesses for raffle prizes, donations, or sponsorships
• Completing event paperwork and liaising with organisers
• Coordinating with shop teams to gather donated items and arranging drop-off/collection

You don’t need prior experience - just good communication skills, a bit of organisation, and enthusiasm for helping our events run smoothly. We’ll provide guidance and support, so you feel confident in the role.

Once we have completed your selection and screening for this role, we will provide you with an induction, as well as invite you to any necessary training sessions. Prospective volunteers will be expected to undertake the full training package for a Community Volunteer, enabling them to support the Community message. This role carries a minimum commitment of 24 hours per year. Volunteers are encouraged to keep their skills and knowledge current by attending regular network training sessions, which take place weekly on Wednesday evenings.

Are you interested in animal welfare and want to make a positive difference in your community? ROLDA UK are now seeking Volunteer Community Outreach Officer to help reach out to local volunteers, facilitate small activities in the community, and raise awareness of our charity's mission to rescue and rehabilitate stray and abandoned animals.

Your Role

• Help ROLDA UK build a local presence within your community by networking and growing local volunteers who are interested in animal welfare and ask them to join you.

• Create new opportunities within your local community and grow a network of volunteers who can get involved in local fundraising events like charity walks, bake sales, and helping to run local stalls etc.

• Inspire and encourage local volunteers to join your community group, collaborate, share ideas, and plan effective activities.

• Help raise awareness about ROLDA UK within your community by recruiting for volunteers to join your hub and help build local networks.

It is the volunteer's responsibility to ensure they meet the necessary visa and work authorisation requirements before participating in any activities with ROLDA. Retina UK is partnering with Transport for London and we’re looking for volunteers who can support our mission to support, empower, and advocate for people living with inherited sight loss, while funding the research that brings hope for the future.

·Bucket collecting at a busy London Underground station

Become a Trustee on our active board! 

Badger Trust celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026. We are the leading voice for badgers in England and Wales, dedicated to promoting and enhancing the welfare, conservation, and protection of badgers, their setts, and their habitats. 

We have a network of over 50 local voluntary badger groups, growing all the time, supported by thousands of dedicated supporters and followers. 

We are now seeking new Trustees to join our Board.  These will support the current Trustees and Chief Executive in delivering the charity's objectives, ensuring we have the right mix of skills, experience, and people to achieve even more for badgers in the coming years. 

For these vacancies, Badger Trust is particularly interested in people with experience in charity fundraising, law, and development planning to help us achieve our goals in these areas, building on our research, citizen science, and campaigning work. 

Your skills 

Trustees with a focus on fundraising will have a strategic approach to opportunities, and might offer support through one or more of the following methods: 

- Identifying and reaching out to major donors and corporate partners 

- Assisting in writing bids for grants and trust applications 

- Offering guidance in planning and executing fundraising strategies and campaigns. 

We encourage members of badger groups to apply to ensure the group network is effectively represented. 

We are seeking applicants whose professional knowledge will bring value to our Board. 

You should be a strong strategic thinker, capable of working collaboratively, and willing to engage with the broader role of Trustee. Badger Trust values diversity and aims to broaden our Board in terms of skills, background, and life experience. 

We encourage all applications, especially from individuals of racially diverse backgrounds and those with disabilities, as these groups are currently under-represented on our Board.

Time Commitment 

The Board typically holds four to six meetings each year on Saturdays. Most of these meetings are conducted online, with two in-person meetings scheduled annually. However, there may be occasions when virtual meetings are necessary outside of the regular schedule. 

We also conduct an Annual General Meeting (AGM) or Symposium, which Trustees are expected to attend and support. The head office is located in Brighton, but in-person meetings are

generally held in central England. The 2026 Badger Trust Symposium is being held at the University of Northampton. 

In addition to routine Board activities, past and present Trustees have contributed to various initiatives and assisted with staff-led projects based on their skills, expertise, and interests. Examples of this work include assisting the creation of  our planning and development guide, updating the guide to badger rescue and rehabilitation, engaging with Government and Parliament on the Planning & Infrastructure Bill, scrutinising Government policy and commissioning information searches, taking legal action, and assisting in the recruitment and interviewing of specialised staff.

We are looking for passionate Animal Advocates to join our Events Team and help raise vital funds for animals in need in their local community. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys connecting with people in their community, and wants to make a meaningful difference.

Animal Advocates organise and host small fundraising stalls within their local area, helping to raise awareness and funds to support animals who need our help.

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Advocate, you will:

• Identify opportunities to hold a fundraising stall in your community at least once a month (for example at markets, fairs, community events or outside local businesses).
• Research and approach local businesses who may wish to donate items that can be sold to raise funds to support our work.
• Encourage people in your community to donate good-quality second-hand items that can be sold on the stall.
• Set up and run fundraising stalls to engage with the public and promote the charity’s work.
• Help raise awareness about the animals we support and the difference donations make.
• Be a vital part of our Events Team.

Support and Resources

As part of our team, volunteers will receive:

• Ongoing support from advice on organising stalls, collecting donations and growing your impact.

Community Engagement Volunteer

Why we want you

As a community engagement volunteer you and your fellow branch members will create a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community. To ensure that that our Armed Forces community know that SSAFA are here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.

What you will be doing

· Organising and attending awareness and fundraising events within the community

· Identifying new fundraising and awareness opportunities

· Helping at events

· Delivering presentations to community groups, schools, etc through

· SSAFA’s speaker programme

· Event administration

· Social media marketing

The skills you need

· Friendly and approachable

· Happy to help

· Basic IT skills would be an advantage

About the Role

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. and our mission is to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We offer a variety of services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails, and more.

We are looking for volunteers to help source, sell, and send clothes on Vinted to raise money for our services. This role is not about listing your own items but about sourcing donated items from others that we can then sell to support our work.

Who Are We Looking For?

·Enjoys fundraising but are looking for something a little bit different.

·Are organised and enjoy keeping things structured.

·Appreciates flexibility in a role and can manage tasks independently.

·Are collaborative and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.

What Do We Expect?

·Willingness to undertake our virtual training programme at a time convenient to you.

·Have a DBS check (preferably on the update system) or be willing to complete one with us.

·Sign our volunteer contract (we are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments if needed).

·A positive and inclusive attitude toward disability and illness.
