Do you have a few hours a week/fortnight to spare?

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help facilitate our weekly groups. These include parent and toddler stay and play groups, alongside two new groups – a baby book club and Daisies, our new SEN group.

This is a great opportunity to spend a few hours a week (or every other week) working as part of our friendly team to create a safe space for families to attend and enjoy.

Can you help?

In particular we are looking for volunteers at the following groups:

-MONDAYS: Puddle Jumpers Stay & Play Group 9.15-10.45am (Location: Ceewood Hall, Witney, OX28)

-WEDNESDAYS: Daisies (SEN stay & play group), 1-2.15pm (Location: Witney Methodist Church, Witney, OX28)

-THURSDAYS: Growing Minds Stay & Play Group 10-11.30am (Location: Littlemore Village Hall, OX4)

-FRIDAYS: Baby Book Club 11am-12pm (Location: Littlemore Hub, JHN Academy, OX4) and Rose Buds Stay & Play 10-11.30am (Location: Rose Hill Community Centre, OX4)

Are you a people person? Would you enjoy helping clients with their problems, as well as developing employability skills or putting your spare time to good use? Then look no further!

Our friendly team are looking for volunteers for our Adviceline which offers the general public information to empower them to find a solution to their problems in areas such as welfare benefits, housing and debt. For more complex issues you would be arranging an appointment with our advisers who will be using the information you have already gathered from the client.

You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as being non-judgemental and respect views, values and cultures that are not your own. Full training will be given.

We cover travel expenses within the boundaries of Enfield.

The Bond Board is a small but ambitious charity working to reduce homelessness by helping people access and keep homes in the private rented sector. We’ve been going since 1993 and are proud of our grassroots approach, our resilience, and our impact.

We started with Bond Guarantees to help people into housing without the need for a cash deposit. Today, we also run an ethical lettings agency, bring empty homes back into use, and support people with tenancy advice, financial inclusion, refugee resettlement and more. Our services are shaped by the people who use them, and rooted in partnership and local knowledge.

We’re looking for new trustees who share our values and want to help us grow our impact. You don’t need to have been a trustee before. If you have skills and knowledge that could help us achieve our ambitions, we’d love to hear from you. About the Role

The Trustee will attend the Finance Committee and Board meetings, fulfilling all of the general duties of an active trustee. These include helping to develop strategy, providing oversight, and promoting the highest standards of corporate governance.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

- A clear and confident communicator who has experience working at a senior level.

- An ability to work with complex financial information and identify its strategic significance.

- A strong professional background in finance, audit, banking or related professions in the private, public or voluntary sector

- A willingness to be a committed Board member, and to contribute actively to a skilled and experienced Board.

Our partner empowers the most disadvantaged rural communities in Ethiopia to end child poverty, working with local communities to provide them with the support they need to take ownership of projects and drive sustainable change.

They are seeking a new Treasurer to advise the small charity on all matters involving the custody of financial resources, the application of those resources, financial procedures, and financial reporting both within the charity and to external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include preparing draft financial plans and budgets, producing reports on actual financial performance against the budget, preparing end of year accounts, and overseeing financial records and the work of the organisations bookkeeper.

The Board meets quarterly, usually online but occasionally in London (hybrid), and the total time commitment required for the role is a few hours per month.

Our amazing team of vibrant & diverse volunteers helps us run over 600 shops. Our stores sell lots of great donated & new goods to help raise vital funds to make a real difference to disadvantaged children, young people and families across the UK.

Our retail stores are the face of our charity on the high-street and in local communities. We have loads of amazing stock donated to us every week, and this all needs to be sorted, tagged and put on the shop-floor for sale!

Making sure our shops look fantastic is another task you can get involved with. You may also be required to help out on the till too, but we will show you how that works during your time volunteering with us. We value the contribution of everyone who supports Barnardo’s.

You will be a friendly face of Barnardo’s by volunteering in one of our shops. It would be great if you could volunteer one shift a week (or even more if you want) but we’re always happy to be flexible to work around your availability.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

· Provide basic IT support to staff and volunteers (troubleshooting software/hardware issues).

• At least 3 years' experience in an HR managerial position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Though we do not require you to be a native English speaker, you must be Fluent in English.
• Ability to work within organisational targets.
• IT Literacy, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• An understanding of HR-related processes and legislation.
• A CIPD qualification would be advantageous but is not essential depending on relevant experience.
