There are over 4000 parks in Greater London. We aim to map them all with useful information for local residents and visitors to London. We also support people that help look after their local parks.

Using your good networking skills and organisational abilities, this role handles the marketing and promotion of the GoParks projects: the website, its map, providing supportive information to Friends’ groups who champion their local parks in collaboration with the London Friends of Greenspaces Network (LFGN).

You'll be joining a small team who focus on this initiative under the CPRE London umbrella. With your support we can do even more! Comms and PR volunteers have an essential role in spreading the word about our work and engaging with new groups and supporters in our area.

By volunteering with us you’ll be helping to find positive solutions for the issues facing the countryside and the environment. By applying your skills and experience you can make a real difference and be a central part of a friendly and passionate charity.

We’re ideally looking for volunteers with experience in networking, managing promotional social media channels for professional or personal use, who can preferably offer us an ongoing commitment. To maximise effectiveness in this role and to make it a beneficial experience for you, a 6 month or ongoing commitment is preferred. 

Working pattern 

Hours: 7-14 hours per week 

Pattern: delivery can be flexible but availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (popular part time working days) would be beneficial. Location: Hybrid - with weekly office attendance on one of the above days.

We provide out-of-pocket travel expenses should this be required.

The Hub @ Greenford Library is an exciting new project run by the Young Ealing Foundation. We are creating a vibrant, inclusive, and multi-functional hub which will operate not only as a community managed library but also provide a wide range of other opportunities and services for the local community.

We are looking for a marketing & communications enthusiast to help us to get the message out as widely as possible about the project, who can offer:

• 3-4 hours a week (mainly remote)
• Experience using social media
• Good communication skills

Role summary

To provide essential administrative support to the Compassionate Communities project. The role will support the planning and coordination of community activities, maintain accurate records, and assist with communications and scheduling under the supervision of the line manager. A level of commitment is required for this role, to be mutually agreed with the line manager.

Main duties of the role

• Assist with the coordination and preparation of Compassionate Communities events and activities

• Support the booking of venues, resources, and scheduling of meetings

• Maintain and update electronic and paper records, including spreadsheets, attendance registers, and contact lists

• Assist with written communications such as emails, invitations, and follow-up notes

• Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for meetings or working groups

• Support data entry, reporting, and light research tasks as needed

• Attend meetings or community events occasionally to provide on-the-day support

• Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, following organisational policies

From sorting, steaming, and pricing donations to spotting hidden gems, you'll roll up your sleeves in the backroom and assist on the shop floor. Creating a warm, friendly and inviting space is just as important. You'll help design eye-catching window displays, keep the space tidy, and use your creativity to ensure everything looks its best, encouraging customers to return.

Retail Lead Volunteer - PDSA

Could you support your local PDSA shop - and help us care for the pets of people in need? 

Every PDSA shop needs an amazing team of volunteers to make it a success and we’re on the lookout for people to join us. 

Our shops raise funds to support our 48 pet hospitals and increase awareness of the work we do to get the nation PetWise. 

With some roles, you may have the opportunity to become a Lead Volunteer or to gain a nationally recognised qualification (NVQ). Lead Volunteers are trained in all aspects of running the shop and can deputise for the manager, so this is a fantastic opportunity that would really enhance your CV. There are many different ways you can help and even a couple of hours a week will make a difference. 

This is a varied and responsible role where you’ll be supporting the Shop Manager and Assistant with the day-to-day running of the shop. You’ll be encouraged to lead on new projects and may be asked to provide cover when the Manager is absent from the shop.

As a Marketing & Communications Assistant, you will work closely with the Project Leader to spread the word about our amazing Akioke Karaoke Confidence Club. You'll help us promote the club to potential members, volunteers, and the wider community, ensuring its success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Assist the Project Leader draft engaging text for promotional materials (flyers, social media posts, website content).
• Social Media Support: Help schedule and post content on relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook groups, local community pages).
• Community Outreach: Identify local community groups, centres, schools, and organisations that could benefit from our club, and assist with distributing promotional materials.
• Information Gathering: Research relevant online forums, notice boards, and events where we can promote the club.
• Feedback Collection: Assist in gathering testimonials or feedback from members (with appropriate consent) to use in promotional efforts.
• Administrative Support: Help organise and maintain marketing materials and contact lists.

We’re looking for detail-orientated, proactive people who’d like to use their research or writing skills to help strengthen our funding applications and impact reporting.

As a Research and Bid Support Volunteer, you’ll help identify funding opportunities, gather data and evidence, and support the preparation of grant proposals. You’ll also assist with compiling feedback and monitoring information that helps us demonstrate the difference our work makes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, analysis and writing and wants to gain experience in how charities develop projects and secure funding.

Who are we?

We are Buttons & Bubbles CIC. We work with children, young people, families and other professionals associated and affected by illness and disability. We have several different services including inclusive characters, sensory workshops, resources, events, advocacy and more.

What are we looking for?

Do you enjoy art? Graphic design? Are you an amazing illustrator? Then we might just have a project for you. One of our aims is to have every type of disability in every culture, religion and ethnicity depicted through our characters. And yes, we know that’s going to mean a lot of hard work and a lot of characters! But NO we are not asking you to complete this entire project!

We’ve created 11 characters so far that depict a variety of conditions. We want to look at potentially re-developing these characters and starting work on some new ones!

What do we expect?

• Be willing to undertake our training programme which will be done virtually and at a time to suit you.

• Have an Enhanced DBS check (preferably be on the update system)

• Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it please do discuss it
