Job description

Ranger Cadets – Prepared for Life

Be the Guardian of Standards and Integrity

RANGER CADETS is a brand new start up uniformed youth work organisation dedicated to preparing young people for life. Through service, ceremony, community, and structured training, we help cadets grow in confidence, resilience, and pride. Now, we’re seeking a dedicated Governance & Compliance Lead / Manager to safeguard our organisation, ensuring our systems, policies, and practices are robust, transparent, and dignified.

Your Mission

As Governance & Compliance Lead / Manager, you will:

  • Establish and oversee governance frameworks, policies, and compliance systems.

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld across all cadet units.

  • Support trustees and leadership in meeting legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations.

  • Champion accountability and transparency, embedding respect and integrity into every process.

  • Guide volunteers and staff in understanding and following best practice.

Why This Role Matters

Every movement needs a guardian of trust. Your leadership will ensure Ranger Cadets operates with integrity, protecting both our volunteers and young people. You’ll be the steward of compliance, ensuring our mission is not only inspiring but also safe, lawful, and sustainable.

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to build a governance legacy that strengthens a growing youth movement.

  • Experience in compliance, safeguarding, and organisational governance, transferable across sectors.

  • The pride of knowing your work protects and empowers cadets and volunteers alike.

  • Belonging to a close-knit team that honours tradition while preparing youth for the future.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A leader with passion for governance, safeguarding, and organisational integrity.

  • Someone who thrives on structure while keeping warmth and humanity at the core.

  • Experience in compliance, governance, or safeguarding is welcome — but vision, commitment, and heart are essential.

Step Forward

This is more than a role. It’s a chance to be the guardian of Ranger Cadets’ integrity, inspire community, and prepare young people for life.
