RollaDome All Skate seeks multiple Volunteer Newsletter Writers to assist in the creation of our monthly newsletter, which serves as a key communication tool to engage our community, promote our services, and share valuable educational content. The objective is to have a team of writers to enhance the diversity of content and perspectives, ensuring a rich, engaging newsletter that appeals to a broad audience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the communications team to brainstorm and decide on themes and content that align with the monthly strategy.
· Research and gather information through various sources, including interviews with stakeholders and community members.
· Write clear, compelling articles, stories, and updates for the newsletter ensuring alignment with RollaDome’s style and ethical standards.

- What is the purpose of this role?
To provide administration support to the Advice Service.
- What impact does this role have?
Administration assistance to the Advice Service will ensure the continued effective and efficient running of this service.
What activities might you be involved in?
• Data entry onto the Charity’s electronic database system
• Shredding confidential documents
• Photocopying and printing leaflets, fact sheets, forms, etc, as and when required
• Helping with large mail outs and preparing for events
• Filing documents using relevant systems
• Setting up rooms for meetings
• Any other tasks as and when required, as agreed between the Volunteer and Manager
When would you be needed to volunteer?
- We are looking for a minimum of 2-3 hours per week, every week to support our Advice service. Initially this would be on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday but flexibility can be offered when the applicant is happy to work independently.

We have a fantastic space located in Accrington Town Centre where we would like to hold fun and exciting sessions for our service users. The sessions can be arts and crafts, music lessons, or board games. Our service users will be involved in deciding the types of activity sessions we hold, and you will be helping us to provide opportunities for people to relax, try new activities, to meet new people and much more. We are looking for people with enthusiasm, willing to try new things, the ability to be patient and show empathy, and to provide non-judgemental support.

About this role
You will be vital to the work of your local Scope shop, generating income and raising awareness of our work in your local community. You will receive all training and support you need to get involved and enjoy your time volunteering.

- helping to display stock and window dressing
- tidying and cleaning the shop
- welcoming and supporting customers
- using the till and taking payments
- steaming clothes so they look better for customers
- pricing and tagging new donations
When and where
You will be in our Scope Portsmouth shop at 14 London Road, North End, Hants, PO2 0LH. We are flexible on the times you would like to volunteer. We’d love your help for as little as 1 hour a week, but if you can give more time that would help us even more.

Some volunteers want to learn more about charities or about retail. Others want to make a difference to the lives of disabled people. Windsor Court is a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities. The service is in Crowle, a rural location, and would suit applicants who live locally.
We are looking for a sessional Arts volunteer who can deliver weekly art sessions to our residents. As part of your volunteer role you will plan the group sessions, making sure that the activities are inclusive for all our residents. You will take a creative approach to delivering the sessions using a variety of art materials including paints, yarn, paper, colouring pens, and clay. Ensure that the materials are tidied away and the space is left clean and tidy at the end of each session. This role is a great way to gain experience of an arts facilitation role.
As a volunteer with Creative Support we offer training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer support network group on Zoom.

Harrow Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust - a network of over 1300 food bank centres in the UK. Between April 2022 and March 2023, food banks provided almost 3 million food supplies to people in crisis.
Harrow Food Bank requires two Trustees to support the Chair and current members who can support the existing Trustees:
Administrator / Secretary: to lead on all the administrative duties of the food bank and Trustee Board, ensure all meetings are conducted within the legal requirements and a record of all meetings maintained. Key roles & responsibilities:
1. Arrange and communicate dates for all Trustee Meetings, circulating papers in advance
2. Follow up on the agreed actions from meetings and keep an accurate ‘action log’
3. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of the AGM and that the AGM report is submitted to all relevant bodies
Treasurer: to lead on the financial affairs of the foodbank and to ensure that they are conducted within the required legal accounting and good practice conventions. Key roles & responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the Food Bank has proper systems for budgeting, financial controls, insurance and reporting
2. Produce and present regular finance reports for the Trustees Board Meetings
3. Maintain accurate financial records as report in a timely manner to all relevant bodies

This session will equip you with everything you need to know about the role, the training programme and volunteering at Westonbirt Arboretum. It is important to attend this session in order for you to make an informed decision on whether you would like to apply to become a Woodland Support volunteer at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum.
After the recruitment morning, if you would like to apply to become a Woodland Support volunteer at Westonbirt Arboretum there will be a 2 day informative training programme, details are available in the recruitment morning sign-up form. The 2 day formal training sessions are mandatory. It is important to understand at this stage whether you are able to commit to these dates before going further.
Volunteer Role Description - Woodland Support Volunteers
Westonbirt’s historic Victorian landscape and internationally important tree and shrub collection is managed by Forestry England and attracts thousands of visitors each year – the Woodland Support volunteer team will be a key element of our Visitor Services (VS) team in helping everyone to get the very best from their time with us. This busy, varied and active role supports visitors whilst they are out and about in the arboretum and will help them to enjoy a memorable day out.
When/Where
This role will be a highly proactive roving role to provide support and information to visitors, primarily in Silkwood, but with possible extension to the Old Arboretum in the future. This role will be carried out in pairs at all times. Shifts will be split and there will be the ability to take breaks during the shift:
- 10.00 am -1.00 pm - morning shift
- 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm – afternoon shift
What’s involved?
· Walking all main routes and known busy areas in Silkwood, to be a visible assistance to visitors with daily site, trail information etc…
· Proactively engaging visitors with a warm hello and welcome to enhance their visitor experience.
· Proactively advising seasonal tree, flora and fauna highlights, directions, and answering general queries.
· Communicating confidently with VS Team via on site radio, and face-to-face with colleagues and visitors.
· Support the VS team as appropriate, by observing visitors wellbeing and behaviour and adherence to site rules, in particular with regard to dog policy.
· Reporting any incidents, including but not limited to: dog incidents/issues; first aid; lost persons; infrastructure/woodland damage.
· Staying calm and focused if dealing with visitors who require support, whilst waiting for support from VS.
· Ensure visitor feedback, both positive and negative, is recorded and escalated appropriately.
· Covering large areas of Silk Wood on foot (or mobility scooter) in all weathers
· Litter picking.
We’d like you to be
- A proactive, people-person with a warm welcoming style who can communicate with all kinds of visitors in an inclusive manner.
- Enjoy working outdoors (in all weathers) and be reliable, positive, patient.
- Keen to share your enthusiasm (we are not looking for experts) for the arboretum with others.
We will
· Provide role training, including – site knowledge, engaging with the public, procedures and systems, site rules and Dog Policy, Health & Safety, dealing with incidents, FoWA membership, radio use and protocol.
· Provide volunteer uniform and name badge.
· Provide ongoing support onsite from FE staff, including daily briefing.
· Ensure you are always with another volunteer.
· Pay a contribution to the cost of volunteering travel.
