About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work across two schools in Greenwich, London. Our schools are shown on a map The Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
• Match students with volunteer tutors
• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
• Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
• Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls.
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
• Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
• University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Training and Development
You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Programme Manager), as well as guidance from a Senior University Access Officer and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. There are opportunities for progression, including several additional responsibility roles which are available for UAOs to apply for once they have completed their probationary period successfully.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Events Manager to lead on Media Trust’s 2024 calendar of fundraising and industry-facing events, including our upcoming 30th Birthday Fundraising Gala and support with other programme-related events.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable expertise in delivering successful fundraising and other events, working across multiple projects, and finding new and innovative ways to engage corporate supporters in fundraising events and campaigns.
You will be part of the Volunteering & Events Management team and will manage a range of in person and virtual events, from fundraising events to corporate partner cultivation drinks, industry roundtables and large-scale volunteering initiatives. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver impactful high-quality events and ensure that all our events deliver against set targets.
This role would suit someone with a good understanding and experience of the UK charity sector and a passion for equalities and inclusion. We are looking for a strong candidate to take Media Trust’s event activity and fundraising to the next level to enable us to support more charities and underrepresented talent and engage more media and creative industry professionals in our work.
Key responsibilities
Events Management

Manage end-to-end delivery of Media Trust events, campaigns and projects of varying size, format and complexity, both in person and virtually

Lead on the development and running of Media Trust’s 30th Birthday celebratory events, including but not limited to our Fundraising Gala, ensuring the fundraising target is hit or exceeded

Support the Programmes team and Media Trust Films team on delivery of events when necessary, including, but not limited to, Charity Challenge Days and Film Screenings

Provide a high standard of support to key stakeholders throughout the planning, execution and evaluation of each event

Develop and implement consistent processes, procedures and documentation for all events across Media Trust, including event timelines, agendas, speaker and staff briefs

Develop fundraising and sponsorship proposals to fund core events across Media Trust

Manage event budgets ensuring they are run cost effectively

What we are looking for in you
Essential

About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. This role will suit a people person who can quickly develop relationships, lead a team, and work closely in a supportive role with Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers. You’ll have overall responsibility for the Carer’s hub, where carers can drop in for advice and support, manage a small caseload, and support the delivery of the service’s range of activities as required, including respite activities, online groups, face-to-face sessions.
We are looking for a great motivator with excellent communication and organisational skills. Applicants should have relevant team or project management experience in social care, health, education or the voluntary and community sector. You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or children and operational knowledge of multi-agency working. A practical understanding of barriers faced by unpaid carers, and an awareness of cultural differences will be key in this role.

The key responsibilities for the Access Manager role include;
- Champion access across the organisation and embed best practice in the work of all departments, with a particular focus on three strands – Producing (artistic practice), Visitor Experience (within MIF and at Aviva Studios), and Communications (marketing campaigns and ticketing processes)
- Communicate the FI access strategy and action plan at all levels from Board downwards and represent the Access workstream in Project Groups and at Management level meetings as needed
- Support the embedding of confident conversations about access from the start of an artist’s involvement with FI
- Advise and support FI on issues such as inclusive casting of disabled artists/performers, and representation of disability in the work we make
- To lead on the planning and coordination of access provision for our produced works and artistic co-productions
- To advice to the Music and Commercial Events teams where external promotors and clients are keen to provide accessible events
- Support and advise on the producing, maintaining and promoting of detailed access information, liaising closely with Producing, Ticketing and Marketing & Audiences
- Lead on in-house training, research and development around access best practice in all areas of the business, developing training resources and advising key departments on their application

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Volunteer Manager to join the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew). Volunteers contribute significantly to the delivery of Kew’s mission, supporting all aspects of Kew’s work notably in Horticulture, Science, visitor engagement, schools, community and access programmes and Galleries. We currently count on over 800 volunteers across our two sites - Kew Gardens in west London and Wakehurst, our wild botanic garden in Sussex.
The volunteering function sits within the Gardens directorate in the Learning and Participation department but has an organisational-wide remit, working closely with business areas such as Horticulture, Science, HR and H&S. There is a devolved structure for the management of volunteers with a full time Volunteer Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at the centre with responsibility for delivering the Volunteer Strategy and associated KPIs, policy and procedures. About You

About the role
Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.
The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.
This will span three main projects:
· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);
· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and
· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.
Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.
Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.
You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.
This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.
Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. What you’ll be doing:
- Work with programme and Innovation teams to support the development of programme/project specific monitoring and evaluation plans, theories of change and results frameworks. This will involve building capacity of these teams, and working with other charities and organisations who are recipients of Motability Foundation's grants.
- Lead on design and implementation of evaluations that assess organisational and specific programme/project level relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, social and economic impact.
- Develop terms of reference for various evaluations, in consultation with programmes and Innovation teams, with clear purpose, objectives and evaluation questions, approach, methodology, resource requirements and work plan.
- Design evaluation approaches and methodologies, data collection instruments and analysis frameworks.
- Lead on tender processes, where evaluations or components of them are to be outsourced, and manage delivery ensuring the work is delivered according to agreed timelines and meets user needs.
- Undertake and oversee design, collection and cleaning of data ready for analysis.
- Undertake analysis and reporting of the collected data to respond to the evaluation questions and criteria.
- Lead on writing evaluation reports, ensuring they are of high quality and suitable for target audiences.
- Present findings to internal and external audiences as required.
- Support programme and Innovation managers and teams to meaningfully report outcome and impact data.
- Facilitate learning by supporting programme and Innovation managers and teams to reflect on and learn from evaluation findings.
About you:
Must haves:
- Experience of monitoring and evaluating interventions with a focus on undertaking process evaluations, measuring outcomes and impact using a variety of methodologies and techniques.
- Experience of supporting and facilitating others to develop logical frameworks and monitoring and evaluation plans to ensure the right monitoring data is collected.
- Relevant qualification in an analytical discipline such as social sciences, economics or statistics, or evidence of professional experience in the area of evaluation.
- Highly experienced in developing evaluation terms of reference working closely with programme teams.
- Ability to lead on design, delivery and implementation of monitoring and evaluation for project and programmes.
- Familiarity with handling data protection protocols, ensuring data security and ethical considerations.
- Highly experienced in report writing.
- Exceptional written and oral skills, including the ability to present complex information in simplified form for non-technical audiences.
- Highly IT literate with extensive experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
Nice to haves:
- Understanding of disability, mobility and accessible design issues.
- Experience calculating cost/benefit analysis and social return on investment.
- Experience of using statistical software.
