We support mental health organisations and work towards reducing knife and gang crime throughout the UK. As a volunteer-led organisation, we provide training to ensure that our volunteers are equipped to offer support and resources to our members. Our online retail store offers the best products on the market to promote the health and well-being of dogs in the UK, with exclusive discounts for our members. We also provide educational tools, travel advice, training, and more to the dog community.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role as a Volunteer Walk Leader at Walkie Dogs. As a Volunteer Walk Leader, you will be responsible for organising and leading dog walks for our social group. Your day-to-day tasks will include coordinating meet-up locations, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants and their dogs, providing guidance and support during walks, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the group.

What will you do?
Following the success of the new groups in Hertfordshire, we are recruiting volunteers across the country to set up new NWR groups in their area. These NWR groups will meet monthly in a local pub or bar with a set theme – this theme acts as an icebreaker and ensures that no two meetings feel the same! Themes could cover a wide range of topics and are designed to be light-hearted and an opener for conversations that could lead anywhere (and usually do!).
We hear from many members about how much joy NWR membership has brought to their lives; the friendships forged, companionship and wide-ranging conversations held. We want to reach more women to give them this opportunity.
Your role would be to run the group: promote it, schedule and run the meetings and respond to enquiries.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting and talking to new people, are familiar with using social media and have excellent administration and IT skills. In a nutshell, we’re looking for a “people person” who is comfortable with a spreadsheet and social media!
What will we provide?
We will provide training and support from staff who have experience of setting up and running a group as well as templates and promotional material for you to use. You would also be part of a friendly network of other volunteers.

HeadsOut Imago group: Trans, Non-Binary Support Group – Volunteer Co-Facilitator
Imago is a peer support group for trans, non-binary and non-cisgender people offering a safe, identity affirming space for support to improve their mental health, emotional and social well-being and through community connection. Imago aims to support members with shared struggles and challenges that they may commonly face as non-cis people, to help them find and celebrate genuine joy and self-confidence. What will you be doing?
This role is for someone who is organised and methodical, with an eye for detail. You will take minutes at Board meetings and make sure the charity follows company law. You will also participate fully in Board meetings and play an important part in the strategic direction of the charity.
Together the Trustees are collectively responsible for the governance and management of the Charity, including regulatory compliance. Bath Welcomes Refugees (BWR) is seeking a Volunteer who will coordinate the monthly social gathering we hold for Ukrainian refugees. The aims are to offer friendship and support, the opportunity for people who are potentially isolated to come together and to signpost people to services and activities. Volunteers can also help with wider community integration, helping with language development, cultural exchange, local knowledge, etc.
Who we are:
BWR harnesses the goodwill of the community in welcoming and supporting refugees and asylum seekers to thrive in their new community. BWR is a small inclusive charity. Volunteer-led and non-partisan, we help refugee families out of desperate circumstances and into a promising future. Our volunteers provide hands-on support with English-language teaching, resettlement support, helping with our creche and at social events. We also have volunteers who help with employability, DIY, gardening, fundraising and more.

Our Staffordshire Independent Visitor Service is looking for volunteers in or near to Rugeley.

You do not need experience of working with children and young people, just an interest in their development and welfare. Full training and support are provided.

- Cassie (16) lives with carers in a new town, she doesn’t have any friends in the area yet. She would like an Independent Visitor to help with her confidence and going out in the local area, she loves hot chocolate and cake.
- Danny (11) lives with foster carers and attends a special school. He would like an Independent Visitor to help him be more independent, he likes parks, aeroplanes, and animals.
- Emma (9) lives with her carer in a very busy household, she would like an Independent Visitor to spend some time with her on her own trying different activities together.

A bit about this role
As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best – whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!
What can you expect to be doing?
This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with:
·Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins
·Online fundraising – setting up online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised
·Marketing – spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press
·Completing administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork
·Championing our work – getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.
