We are seeking volunteer photographers to help us build a high-quality image library and create eye-catching visuals for our social media channels, website, publications, and case studies. Your photographs will play a key role in showcasing our impact and motivating more people to support a greener, healthier London.
You will have the flexibility to capture photos in your local area, focusing on specific themes featured in the supporting document. Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, through a network of volunteer groups. Read Easy groups are changing the lives of individual adults across the country by providing them with the support they need to learn to read, and in turn opening doors for them to all sorts of new opportunities in life. As the Team Leader you are responsible for the proper and effective direction of your local group. This role will appeal to someone with enthusiasm and energy who will enjoy managing a team of diverse volunteers. Ideally, the Team Leader will remain in this role for at least two years.
How we will support you
You will be provided with the Management Team Handbook, training/induction, policies, and guidance specifically needed for this role, including access to support from a Read Easy UK Regional Adviser, via your Team Leader. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Cafe Worker to assist with the day to day running of our community cafe! This volunteer role will include supporting the team to serve hot and cold drinks drinks and food from the kitchen, as well as some cleaning duties and handling card payments. The café serves as a safe space for individuals with mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help create a friendly and inclusive community space in the café by greeting customers with a friendly attitude
- Operate the till with card transactions (training will be provided).
- Maintain excellent hygiene and health & safety standards, including clearing and wiping tables, washing up, and ensuring the kitchen and seating areas are clean and tidy.
No experience required. Food hygiene training is required. Full training will be provided. This volunteer opportunity would suit someone with a strong positive attitude who has effective communication skills. We also require the individual to be reliable and punctual with the ability to be a team player. A resilient and non-judgmental attitude, with a willingness to learn is also required to succeed in this role.

Amy’s Place is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Clarion Housing, providing supported living accommodation for young women aged 18-30 in recovery from drugs, alcohol and other addictive behaviors.
An enthusiastic, reliable and compassionate volunteer with good interpersonal skills and a desire to help others. The volunteer must be a fully qualified Dietitian or Nutritional Therapist and have training and/or experience working with individuals with eating disorders.
Activities
- Supporting the nutritional needs of young women with health issues on a limited budget.
- Providing support with meal planning, cooking skills, food safety, and day-to-day problem solving around food and eating.
- Providing wisdom and accurate nutrition education around healthy eating for the individual.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Must be a fully qualified Dietitian or Nutritional Therapist.
- As many of the residents have eating disorders it is essential for the volunteer to have training and/or clinical experience working with individuals with eating disorders.
- Must have professional liability insurance and be a member of a professional body ie. HCPC, BANT
- This role requires us to carry out a check through the Disclosure and Barring Service for the Enhanced DBS
Commitment
This is a flexible opportunity and volunteering times and frequency will vary depending on the volunteer’s availability and the needs of the residents. We recommend weekly one-to-one sessions for a minimum of 3 months.

· Coordinate the monthly newsletter, liaising with the Social Media team to finalise and distribute
· Engage partner charities, community groups, and networks to share event information via email and social media
3. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
· Build and maintain relationships with organisations, partners, and individuals aligned with Hidayah’s mission
· Send thank-you messages to venues, partners, and attendees following events
· Distribute and collect feedback forms, compiling responses to support continuous improvement

Volunteer Wellbeing Wednesdays Coordinator – Share Your Heart of Gold with SUNSHINE
Loneliness is one of the fastest-growing epidemics of our time. Across London, thousands of people feel isolated, disconnected, and unseen. At SUNSHINE, we believe no one should feel alone. Our mission is to bring sunshine into people’s lives through grassroots, community-led programmes that spark joy, foster friendships, and transform lives.
We are now seeking a Wellbeing Wednesdays Coordinator with a Heart of Gold to lead the set-up, delivery, and coordination of our uplifting 12-week programme, which runs several times a year with different wellbeing activities and sessions designed to boost health, happiness, and resilience.

What You’ll Do

Lead the programme: Organise and oversee the set-up, delivery, and coordination of the 12-week Wellbeing Wednesdays sessions.

Create uplifting spaces: Ensure each session is welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring.

Support volunteers and facilitators: Guide and motivate the team delivering activities.

Promote wellbeing: Help participants discover new tools, practices, and habits to improve their health and happiness.

About YAUK
Youth Advantage UK is a charitable organization that uses a research-led approach to inform policy work and projects that aim to promote and further the human rights of young people aged 11 to 25 across the United Kingdom.
Please note that this is a remote VOLUNTEER role.
We won't accept applications from individuals residing outside of the UK as we operate on the principle of bettering the lives of young people in the UK. Therefore, we require our volunteers to have an understanding of what it is like to live in the UK.
Responsibilities

As the Senior HR Officer in our Volunteer Relations team, you will be reporting directly to the HR Manager, as well as oversee the day-to-day management of volunteer relations across our organisation, ensuring the smooth execution of policies and adherence to the Volunteer Handbook. Your role involves being the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing queries, and resolving issues promptly while upholding the organisation’s standards and values.

You will also play a key role in fostering a professional and supportive environment for all volunteers, maintaining productive relationships, and ensuring operational excellence in volunteer management.
Duties
1. Exit Management
- Facilitate seamless volunteer offboarding processes, including conducting structured exit interviews to identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of exits to inform retention and engagement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies during volunteer departures.
2. Volunteer Inactivity Management
- Monitor volunteer activity levels and implement inactivity management procedures in collaboration with line managers.
- Maintain updated records to track and report volunteer activity trends.
3. Grievance and Conflict Resolution
- Implement and manage an efficient grievance procedure to handle volunteer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Ensure impartiality and transparency in addressing grievances, collaborating with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Collaborate with the L&D team to provide periodic training for volunteers and managers on grievance handling and conflict resolution.
4. Policy Execution and Compliance
- Act as the primary custodian of the Volunteer Handbook, ensuring volunteers are well-informed about organisational policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with organisational guidelines and address any violations in consultation with the HR Manager.
- Partner with the Policy team to update the Volunteer Handbook periodically to reflect regulatory changes and organisational needs.
5. Volunteer Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for volunteers, addressing their queries and concerns to foster a positive environment.
- Actively promote inclusivity and diversity in all volunteer-related activities.
6. Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all volunteer-related activities comply with organisational and legal standards.
- Prepare regular reports on the approved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including challenges and support needed.
