St John Ambulance Cymru is seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to take on a strategic volunteer leadership role as our National Clinical Lead (Nursing). About the Role
As the Clinical Lead for Nursing & Midwifery, you will:
- Provide national clinical leadership and support the implementation of clinical strategies.
 - Develop methods to recruit, retain and support the work of nurses, midwives, health visitors, nursing associates, associate practitioners, and students within St John Ambulance Cymru - including integrating them into frontline practice.
 - Lead on infection prevention and control, regulatory compliance, and clinical governance.
 - Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive quality improvement and best practice.
 - Participate in senior clinical advisory duties and contribute to forums, reviews, and consultations.
 - Line manage healthcare professionals and support their professional development.
 
You’ll work closely with the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer and other National Clinical Leads, ensuring our services remain safe, compliant, and of high quality.

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Administrator to support the smooth operational production of Bi Pride 2026. This role will support the Stalls team, who produce a stalls area including LGBTQIA+ small businesses, charities and more at our events.
Ideal time commitment: approx. 5-10 hours per month; flexible. This is likely to increase on the approach to an event.
Location: remote/ home based, in-person attendance at events is desirable.
Supported/ supervised by: the Events Administration Manager, also working closely with volunteers in the Stalls sub-team and Events team.
Bi Pride UK’s mission is to create spaces where people who experience attraction beyond gender can be freely visible and celebrate themselves and their identities. It’s not enough to be ‘welcome’ at Pride. The role:
The Events team at Bi Pride UK is one of the core operational teams within the charity. The team handles programming, production and execution of our events, including our annual flagship Bi Pride event, which holds the record for the largest Bi Pride event in the world. This role will sit within the Events Administration sub-team; who are responsible for organising and performing administrative tasks to support the Events team to deliver smooth and highly successful events.
We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Stalls Administrator to support the smooth operational production of Bi Pride 2026. The Stalls Administrator will work closely with the Stalls sub-team, who are responsible for organising the stalls area within Bi Pride UK’s events; a space which hosts stalls from bi+ community groups, LGBTQ+ charities, small businesses and other fantastic organisations. This role will provide administrative support to the Stalls Manager and Assistant Manager, as well as working with volunteers across the Events team and wider charity. The holder of this role will join a supportive team and contribute to defining and improving the internal processes involved in producing Bi Pride 2026.
Key tasks of this role will include:

Working closely with the Stalls Manager and Stalls Assistant Managers to ensure efficient organisation of the administrative activity relating to the Stalls sub-team;
 - 
	
Monitoring a shared Stalls sub-team email inbox, including answering queries and escalating emails to the appropriate internal volunteer as required;
 - 
	
Facilitating and tracking the completion of stall holder contracts, and maintaining accurate record keeping of the documentation;
 - 
	
Receiving invoices from stall holders, maintaining accurate record keeping of these documents and sharing documentation with the Finance team to process payments;
 - 
	
Liaising with the Stalls sub-team and the stall holders to gather required information, and sharing this information with the Media & Comms team in a timely manner for the production of Event related assets and promotional materials;
 - 
	
Attending regular Events team meetings, including Stalls sub-team meetings and venue visits, to contribute to the smooth planning and execution of the event.
 
Our team volunteers remotely from anywhere in the UK, with some travel required occasionally (primarily for our flagship Pride event in London in August). All reasonable expenses incurred are reimbursed, including travel, lunch at away days and other all day events, and some childcare costs if required. The successful candidate will be invited to fortnightly Events team meetings on Wednesday evenings via conference call, in addition to Events Administration sub-team and Stalls sub-team meetings, which will be scheduled in line with the team’s best availability.

The Say Aphasia charity provides support groups across the UK for people with aphasia; a language and communication disability caused by a brain injury like a stroke. Aphasia affects over 350,000 people in the UK but is little understood or known about by the public. It is the only aphasia charity set up by people with aphasia for people with aphasia; helping them to adapt to their new way of life and regain their independence and confidence.
Aphasia occurs due to injury to the brain such as a stroke. It affects access to language, resulting in difficulties following conversations, speaking, reading and writing.
Volunteers will support the running of the group with communicating, and will have the opportunity to utilise their communication skills and IT knowledge to take a register of attendance.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and support to individuals, particularly those living with asphasia.
 - Assist in organising activities that promote social interaction and engagement.

What are Serving Community Teams?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of SSAFA. SSAFA has developed Serving Community Teams for volunteers to support serving personnel and their families in the UK and overseas.
A Serving Community Team is run by a small team of volunteers on or near a British Armed Forces base which provides emotional, practical and financial support to the serving community. Our Chair is the key part of the team, coordinating the activities of volunteers to ensure financial stability and a safe and effective volunteer service. You will network locally to build relationships with the serving community, other stakeholders and welfare organisations. You will collaborate with the other SCT volunteers to support them in their roles as well as working with employees in the Serving Community Support Team to ensure the functions of the SCT run well, are documented appropriately, and reported on annually.

Serving Community Teams (SCTs) offer financial, practical and emotional support to serving personnel and their families at military bases both in the UK and overseas. Each SCT consists of a group of dedicated volunteers, working together to raise SSAFA’s profile, ensuring those who need support receive it. If you would like to lead and develop a SCT, we’d love to hear from you. Our SCT Chair is the key player, coordinating the activities of the volunteer team to deliver beneficiary support and ensure a safe, effective and financially stability SCT. You will network locally to build relationships with the serving community, other stakeholders and welfare organisations. You will support your SCT volunteers in their roles as well as working with employees in SSAFA’s Serving Community Support Team to ensure the functions of the SCT are run well, documented and reported on annually.
What you will be doing
- Leading the volunteer team, ensuring SSAFA’s values, policies and procedures are followed.
 - Being an ambassador for SSAFA, building positive relationships with the chain of command, local SSAFA branches and services, welfare services and other key stakeholders.
 - Working closely with your volunteers to establish an annual plan of activities to include fundraising, awareness raising and support.
 - Having oversight of all the functions of the SCT, ensuring beneficiaries receive effective support, and volunteers have an opportunity to regularly meet regularly.
 - Reporting on the activities the SCT undertakes and their impact, ensuring annual reports are submitted.
 - Promoting the work of SSAFA and the SCT, highlighting case studies and good news stories to employees in the SSAFA PR team and Serving Community Support Team.
 - Being available to consider any grant applications when received.
 - Working closely with employees in the Serving Community Support Team, building on volunteer recruitment and and sharing best practice.

This role will provide administrative support to the Events team and supervise the newly developed Events Administration sub-team.

The role:
The Events team at Bi Pride UK is one of the core operational teams within the charity. The team handles programming, production and execution of our events, including our annual flagship Bi Pride event, which holds the record for the largest Bi Pride event in the world. This role will sit within the Events Administration sub-team, who are responsible for organising and performing administrative tasks to support the Events team to deliver smooth and highly successful events.
We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Events Administrative Manager to play a central role in the smooth organisation of Bi Pride 2026. This role will provide administrative support to the Events team, most specifically assisting the Head of Events and Events Trustee with their administrative needs. The Events Administrative Manager will also supervise the Events Administration sub-team, helping to build up and shape this new emerging branch of the Events team. The holder of this role will join a supportive team, working with volunteers across the Events team and wider charity to contribute towards defining and improving the internal processes involved in producing Bi Pride 2026.
Key tasks of this role will include:

Working closely with the Head of Events and Events Trustee to ensure efficient organisation of the administrative activity relating to the Events team;

Monitoring a shared Events team email inbox, including answering queries and escalating emails to the appropriate internal volunteer as required;

Monitoring and maintaining a shared Events team planner, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate;

Facilitating and tracking the completion of general event contributor contracts (such as consultants, catering, BSL interpreters, etc.), and maintaining accurate record keeping of the documentation;

Receiving invoices from event contributors, maintaining accurate record keeping of these documents and sharing documentation with the Finance Team to process payments;

Our team volunteers remotely from anywhere in the UK, with some travel required occasionally (primarily for our flagship Pride event in London in August). All reasonable expenses incurred are reimbursed, including travel, lunch at away days and other all day events, and some childcare costs if required. The successful candidate will attend fortnightly Events team meetings on Wednesday evenings via conference call, in addition to other possible meetings with the Events Administration sub-team and Events Trustee and Head of Events which will be scheduled in line with the team’s best availability.

The Role
Our Lotus Community works alongside the City of Edinburgh Council to provide accommodation for 14 young people (aged 16-18), who are unaccompanied asylum-seekers. They come from a variety of different countries.
The community is a step towards independent living, whilst they await a decision about their ‘leave to remain’ in the country. The asylum procedure can be a long, complicated, overwhelming and challenging process. We support the young people in the best way during this stressful time (and after). They are supported by social workers and a guardianship service as well.
What will you do as a volunteer?
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who work well independently, are proactive and can get involved in community activities. You will support the residents of the community and help look after your shared spaces in the flats. Most of the residents have basic living skills, including cooking, cleaning and budgeting. We offer further support where needed.
We can also help them gain confidence and knowledge of the local area. This is to enable them to take further steps towards independence and integration in the local community. This is also with the purpose of them moving on to accommodation that better suits their needs in the future.
Depending on the season, and interests and abilities of the residents, your tasks can include:
- Being a peer mentor and staying in touch with the residents via WhatsApp
 - Organise our monthly community meeting
 - Organise activities, which can be walks, cycling, board games night, karaoke, tea and cake (whatever your interests) for the residents to come along.
 - Reporting issues with the flat, repairs etc.
 - Making sure that all rooms always have the equipment needed (cleaning products, toilet roll, hand sanitiser, condoms etc).
 - Updating your (online) calendar for the week, so everyone knows when you are volunteering and not.
 - Working together with your fellow volunteer(s) to organise activities and arrange rota.
 
What you get:
Location: You will live in a studio bedroom in the flat alongside the young residents. You will not pay for rent or bills (including internet).
Time: 20 hours per week for minimum 6 months. These are during the evening and weekends, with exception for a few hours spent in meetings and alike.
You can volunteer and work part time at the same time. You will organise your volunteering hours with the other volunteer.
We will provide support and training needed for you to engage with the tasks and young people in a safe manner. Support, supervision and team meetings are every month.

What are Serving Community Teams?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of SSAFA. SSAFA has developed Serving Community Teams for volunteers to support serving personnel and their families in the UK and overseas.
A Serving Community Team is run by a small team of volunteers on or near a British Armed Forces base which provides emotional, practical and financial support to the serving community. Our Chair is the key part of the team, coordinating the activities of volunteers to ensure financial stability and a safe and effective volunteer service. You will network locally to build relationships with the serving community, other stakeholders and welfare organisations. You will collaborate with the other SCT volunteers to support them in their roles as well as working with employees in the Serving Community Support Team to ensure the functions of the SCT run well, are documented appropriately, and reported on annually.

Serving Community Teams (SCTs) offer financial, practical and emotional support to serving personnel and their families at military bases both in the UK and overseas. Each SCT consists of a group of dedicated volunteers, working together to raise SSAFA’s profile, ensuring those who need support receive it. Across the UK, our 270 local groups play a vital part in supporting people affected by MS. They provide sense of belonging, unity and friendship. And they deliver services and support for their local MS community.
We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Volunteer for the East Cumbria Group. As a Health and Safety Volunteer you’ll make sure all local group members are aware of their health and safety responsibilities. You’ll help them understand and follow guidelines and procedures to coordinate safe activities.
In this role you’ll gain knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, as well as develop your organisation, admin and communication skills. Most importantly you’ll help your local group make sure all their activities are safe for every member of your local MS community.
Time commitment
