Dove Lane is a 24 hour residential care service for adults with Learning Disabilities. We currently have 5 residents, male and female.
We have a volunteer opportunity available at Dove Lane, Harrold, Bedfordshire. We are located in Harrold, and as we are a rural area with limited public transport, if you are a car driver with access to your own vehicle you may find it easier to travel to us, we have onsite parking available. We are flexible on the days and times for your volunteering sessions.

Creative Support run six extra care housing services in Tower Hamlets. We support clients with a range of different needs and interests. We run regular activity sessions for our residents, and are looking for people who are enthusiastic, reliable and committed, to join our team and help deliver fun and engaging sessions.

Become an activity lead
As a volunteer activity lead you will run a local Re-engage group who meet on a monthly or fortnightly basis. You will deliver or facilitate regular physical activity sessions for people aged 75 and over in community centres, pubs or church spaces.
This is a flexible role and each group will host activity guests, along with our volunteer drivers who pick up and drop off our activity guests.
Activities can vary from boules and skittles, dancing or singing, or coming up with your own activity to get people moving. In some groups we may have another person coming in to run a specific class so we would ask you to facilitate this and support the activity guests who are attending on the day.
You will be required to complete a DBS check for this role, for which Re-engage will cover the cost.
Tasks include:
- Facilitating or delivering an inclusive activity with the focus on physical health and social wellbeing.
- Making activity guests feel welcome to the groups and ensuring people can participate in the activities. Activity groups are coordinated by a volunteer group coordinator.
- Following the guidance in your training to ensure that your group sessions are enjoyable, appropriate and in line with our charitable aims.
Your role as an activity lead will be to plan and deliver a session that is achievable for all the activity guests attending. Your session should be inclusive, fun and safely delivered to activity guests. Group activities can stay the same or change on a monthly or fortnightly basis.
This is a long-term voluntary role, so we are ideally looking for individuals who can commit to volunteering with us for at least 12 months.

Role Description
As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a vital part, in organising and assisting with our fundraising activities. All the proceeds from these activities go directly towards helping care for the pets of those experiencing homelessness. StreetVet are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Assistant to work with the Head of Fundraising to help with varied fundraising/administrative activities.
You will help support StreetVet’s patients and their owners by strengthening StreetVet’s fundraising capability.
What can you expect to be doing?
The volunteer Fundraising Assistant will work with the Head of Fundraising to deliver on the fundraising strategy and plan for StreetVet. There will also be a close working relationship with the marketing team to deliver fundraising events, campaigns and social media posts.
The main responsibilities for this role:
The Fundraising Assistant will work with the Head of Fundraising to provide support to the department on a wide range of tasks including but not limited to:
• Administration and support - provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including fundraising enquires (postal, email, online)
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure donations are processed correctly and supporters are thanked
• Ensure the CRM/database is kept accurate and up-to-date/help with reporting as required
• Support the Head of Fundraising with Trusts & Grants to search for/record grant applications and finance information
• Support Head of Fundraising to explore new opportunities and help organise specific fundraising events as required
• Work with local fundraising volunteers, arranging work for them and supporting them as needed
• Support campaigning work, e.g. data selections for internal and external campaigns, pulling together content as directed for social media/specific campaigns, etc.

Short description of role: Supporting our Connect! service for young people aged 9-18 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. Activities range from a social board games & Lego group to kayaking, archery and bushcraft.
Long description of role: Involve’s Connect! service is funded by Kent County Council’s Short Breaks scheme. The purpose is for young people aged 9-18 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to have a space to meet and build friendships with other young people in an autism friendly environment. The aims are for the young people to build their confidence, independence, and life skills in a safe space. As a volunteer, you would provide valuable support to the young people at activities which have previously included pizza making, arts and crafts, kayaking, archery and bushcraft as well as a regular group that meets and plays board games and Lego. It would not be necessary to join every activity but regularly enough for the young people to build relationships and trust with you at the group. Duties would involve supporting the Youth Programme Coordinator to get the young people settled at the beginning of the session and making drinks for parents and young people. You may also be encouraging young people who are feeling anxious to participate in activities by being a source of support to them and making them feel more comfortable. Role title: Volunteer Youth Support Assistant
Short description of role: Supporting our Connect! service for young people aged 9-18 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. Activities range from a social board games & Lego group to kayaking, archery and bushcraft.
Long description of role: Involve’s Connect! service is funded by Kent County Council’s Short Breaks scheme. The purpose is for young people aged 9-18 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to have a space to meet and build friendships with other young people in an autism friendly environment. The aims are for the young people to build their confidence, independence, and life skills in a safe space. As a volunteer, you would provide valuable support to the young people at activities which have previously included pizza making, arts and crafts, kayaking, archery and bushcraft as well as a regular group that meets and plays board games and Lego. It would not be necessary to join every activity but regularly enough for the young people to build relationships and trust with you at the group. Duties would involve supporting the Youth Programme Coordinator to get the young people settled at the beginning of the session and making drinks for parents and young people. You may also be encouraging young people who are feeling anxious to participate in activities by being a source of support to them and making them feel more comfortable.
