The Corporate & Public Engagement team in the Communications Directorate promotes corporate interest in the College and engages future medics and scientists in careers in pathology, particularly through our awareness activities, including National Pathology Week.
The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Corporate & Public Engagement Manager. This would involve booking meetings, drafting correspondence and tracking our budget. You will help to organise events and be responsible for collecting, collating, analysing and presenting feedback from them so we can introduce improvements. You will update our website, and post content on our social media channels to engage our audiences.
The College is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.

MLMC is now looking for a part-time Finance and Administration Officer. The successful applicant will manage MLMC’s day-to-day finances providing financial information to the Charity Coordinator and other staff as needed. Additional duties include administration/governance support to the Charity Coordinator and to manage the day to day running of the office (this does not involve any people management). This role calls for an individual with accounts and/or book keeping experience, the ability to run an end to end payroll using a computerised system including HMRC and year end reporting, and excellent administration skills. It is crucial that you will be able to communicate politely, professionally, effectively and clearly with all stakeholders (e.g. fellow staff, customers etc.).

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Lead work on providing an information service for Healthwatch Camden, helping to ensure that it is readily accessible and can effectively direct people to the support or advice they need to access services or make choices about services.

Hours: Full time and permanent. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 6pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

As Research Funding Administrator, you will be part of the team running the Charity’s multi-million-pound response-mode funding programme for discovery cancer research. Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.

About the role
The Reaching the Last Mile Africa (RLM) programme is a significant, intricate initiative spanning multiple countries and years, dedicated to eradicating onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis (OV and LF).
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the RLM programme. This will be achieved by coordinating administrative and support systems, procedures, and sub-teams essential for the programme’s management.
Principle Accountabilities
- Ensure professional support for all external NTD meetings with donors and international partners, including logistics, room bookings, agendas, slides, recording, virtual participation, and minute documentation and distribution.
- Coordinate support for regular internal RLM meetings, such as bi-weekly calls, by managing invites, agendas, and minutes.
