• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Our Admin Volunteers provide vital support to our staff and volunteers to help us reach as many people as possible with the Mary’s Meals story and help us keep our promise to the 2.4 million children we feed every day.

What is the role of an Admin Volunteer?

The role of Admin Volunteer may involve:

• Conducting research
• Data entry
• Contacting organisations to offer talks or promote our campaigns 
• Helping us to thank our supporters
• Supporting event organisation
• Providing general admin support
• Allocating volunteer speakers to booked talks

What difference will i make?

Role Summary

Mast Cell Action is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphics Support Coordinator to assist with designing engaging and visually compelling graphics for our social media platforms. This role plays a key part in helping us raise awareness about Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and fostering a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

Design graphics for social media posts, stories, and campaigns in line with the Mast Cell Action branding guidelines.

Collaborate with the social media team to understand content needs and ensure timely delivery of assets.

Support the development of visuals for ongoing campaigns, such as "MCAS is..." and "Please Don't Test Me."

Create eye-catching visuals for announcements, events, and educational content.

Maintain and organise a library of graphics for easy future access and use.

Skills and Experience

Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).

A keen eye for design, colour, and typography.

Ability to interpret and work within brand guidelines.

Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into creative designs.

Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

Passion for raising awareness and supporting communities affected by health challenges (knowledge of MCAS is a plus but not required).

• Promote Mary’s Meals’ fundraising campaigns and events in your community and across their networks and contacts
• Distribute and display promotional materials
• Place collection tins in local community areas
