We are looking for a Fundraising Volunteer to join our small, dynamic and ambitious team with big plans. You will be providing administrative, research and income-generating support to our Private Fundraising team. Your work will be essential in helping our teams provide excellent donor care to our supporters, as well as assisting with the smooth running of our office and fundraising activities.
By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working for a charity and will contribute to our work supporting people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups worldwide, while learning new skills.
The main purpose of this role is to:

Undertake administration tasks to support fundraising efforts.

Support a variety of income-generation functions, including individual giving, event fundraising, trust and foundations grant-making, and corporate giving.

Support communication and media outreach, including identifying and maintaining journalists/contacts, researching new outreach prospects and writing press releases.
Key tasks you may be able to support:

Support the Individual Giving and Communications team in supporter care and social media activities.

Ad hoc research tasks on donor engagement and retention and supporter care.

Create engaging content for a new campaign aiming to bring in new potential donors to HIUK.

Research new opportunities to partner with high-net-worth individuals, companies, and trusts & foundations, who are the most relevant match for HI’s mission.

Update the database of donors and prospective donors, for example with contact information, interest areas, and recent communications, to ensure our records are up to date and accurate.

Maintain and update our database of journalists, outlets, and contact information for successful media outreach.

Purpose of the Role
This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. We support clients with mental health with both clinical and non-clinical interventions.
Compass is a service designed to support adults (18 years and over) in H&F and Hounslow. The service provides support with welfare benefits, debt, housing and well-being/peer support groups/workshops.
The Ealing Pathways service is designed to support adults (18 years and over) with stable mental illness to stay well and avoid acute admission in the borough of Ealing. The service provides support with welfare benefits, debt, housing and well-being advice service.
As a part of this, we are looking for volunteers to support with both services. The role of the volunteer includes supporting with onboarding and contacting clients onto our services as well as completing administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities
To work closely with the Compass/Pathways service team and support the services with enquiries and support the service users to access the service.
- Triage clients for the service through an onboarding process.
- Support with follow up surveys and questionnaires for those who have accessed the project and obtain their feedback to improve our services.
- Support the Compass/Pathways team to promote the service to the local community.
- Support with administrative tasks including recording information onto our database ‘Views’.
- Supporting clients by picking up ‘light touch cases’ e.g. form filling and welfare benefit checks.
Type of person we are looking for:
Essential
- An interest in supporting those with mental health needs to access Compass/Pathways services.
- Good oral and written communication skills (including listening skills); the ability to communicate in a patient, considered, and empathetic manner.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to follow administrative procedures.
- IT skills – able to update spreadsheets, use web-based applications, video-conferencing software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferably have had experience working with people who experience poor mental health.
Time commitment and expenses
- 5 hours per week, during our opening hours of 10am–4pm. Please indicate your preferred volunteering day(s) on your application
- We request a minimum commitment of 3 months of volunteering after the completion of your induction.
- We will provide volunteers with an induction, training, and ongoing mentoring to support them in the role.

This service supports partners of women being cared for by the West London Perinatal Mental Health team. It includes wellbeing support, a 1:1 mental health assessment and provides relevant resources and referrals to further services.
Key responsibilities

About the Role

Accountable to: Accreditation Team Lead
The purpose of your role is to support Nightlines in meeting the Association’s Nightline Quality Standards(NQS). You will have a caseload for about 10 nightlines across England, Scotland and Wales helping them to begin the accreditation process either for the very first time, their annual checklist or their 3-yearly accreditation update.
You will explain the NQS accreditation process to Nightlines and provide them with the NQS Questionnaire. Following the response from the Nightline, you will be responsible for checking submitted policies and procedures, and where needed provide feedback on how a Nightline can be NQS compliant.
You will sit within the Services Department in the Accreditation Team, whose purpose is to execute the NQS Accreditation Process across all Nightlines affiliated with the Nightline Association, research industry best practice, and recommend changes to the Quality Standards as necessary.
Your line manager will be the Accreditation Team Lead.

The Safe Space is a local hub for anyone who feels they are nearing crisis point. We are here to listen to what you need and work with you to help. This might be strategies to help you cope in the moment, a range of activities we provide free of charge, resources to take away or connecting you with practical local services. We offer face to face, telephone and video-conference support. As a part of this, we are looking for volunteers to offer peer led support to individuals who may access our service. This includes a variety of tasks, such as devising and facilitating peer led workshops with clients, supporting with 1:1 sessions, and completing administrative tasks.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has lived experience of mental health/social crisis
- Preferably have had experience working with people who experience poor mental health
- Are comfortable with co-producing and facilitating peer led workshops
- Might be willing to take over running the workshops by themselves over time
- Are willing to actively participate with clients 1:1 and in group settings
- Are able to take on any ad hoc admin/support responsibilities within the Safe Space Team
Time commitment and expenses:
- 5 hours per week, during our opening hours of 12–5pm. Please indicate your preferred volunteering day(s) on your application.
- We will provide volunteers with an induction, training, and ongoing mentoring to support them in the role
- Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

As a charity we can help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations from our supporters. Raising funds is a key role in our charity, helping to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need.
As a fundraising volunteer, we will support you every step of the way to ensure your time at Cats Protection is a positive and rewarding one. Whatever time you can give really does make a big difference We have lots of exciting activities to choose from for example attending a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, handling administrative tasks, or contributing to the development of new fundraising ideas. We are looking for a new Honorary Treasurer to join our diverse Board of Trustees. This is a key role within the organisation, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a difference to the lives of separated children arriving in the UK.
In addition to the general responsibilities of a Trustee, the Honorary Treasurer maintains an overview of The Separated Child Foundation’s financial affairs, monitors the financial administration of the charity and provides financial management advice and information to the Board of Trustees and to the Chief Executive.
Main responsibilities
• Making sure the charity keeps proper accounts
• Reviewing the charity’s financial performance
• Drawing up or reviewing policies for finance and investment
• Ensuring that the charity has robust and effective financial controls in place
• Liaising with external bookkeeping providers and with the charity’s Independent Examiner
• Reporting on financial matters where relevant
• Acting as a counter signatory on bank payments
• Liaising with external payroll provider regarding payroll preparation for new employees
• Ensuring our banking services are fit for purpose
Financial overview
• Act as the main interface between the Board of Trustees and the Chief Executive on financial matters
• Advise the Board as necessary on its financial duties and responsibilities
• Maintain an overview of the organisation’s financial status and viability and provide overall financial management advice to the Board and to the Chief Executive
• Advise and monitor financial risks to which the organisation is exposed
• Oversight of and input into financial controls
• Involvement in the preparation of the Trustees’ Annual Report and Accounts (TARA) and Annual Review
Strategic input and budget monitoring
• Work with the Chief Executive to draft 1-3 year budgets to deliver the strategic plan
• Advise on the financial implications of the strategic plan
• Support the Chief Executive’s review of monthly management accounts as needed
Additionally, the Honorary Treasurer is a key member of the Management Committee, which – amongst other duties – reviews and makes recommendations to the Board on staff pay in line with the charity’s policy

Who We Are
M4RD is a UK charity that is advancing rare disease training for medical professionals. The aim of our work is to help reduce diagnostic delay and improve patient experience for those impacted by rare conditions.
We work with an extensive network of patients, carers, advocates and advocacy groups to deliver training to medical schools, foundation schools, royal colleges, hospitals and trusts.
