Ashinaga UK is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative leadership development programme for African Scholars studying in the UK. As part of a mission-driven global organisation, the coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth programme operations, student support, and administrative excellence throughout the annual Scholar cycle. The Ashinaga movement was founded in Japan in the 1960s and has since expanded across the globe, empowering over 120,000 orphaned youth with access to education and support to achieve their full potential. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was launched 11 years ago with the aim of equipping future leaders for Africa through undergraduate scholarships and leadership development opportunities. Programme Coordinator

• Location: Remote. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly for programme activities and team meetings. 
• Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional work on weekends or evenings. 
• Hiring Date: February 2025 (Initial 12-month contract with the possibility of renewal). 
• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 dependent on candidate’s experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Operations 

• Support the end-to-end delivery of Ashinaga UK’s annual programme cycle (including university preparation camps, inductions, monthly calls, workshops, summits, and graduation activities). 
• Deliver administrative logistics, schedules, venues, travel arrangements, and programme communications. 
• Coordinate speaker invitations, facilitator briefs, and session materials. 
• Track Scholar attendance, progress and compliance across the year. 
• Draft Scholar-facing policies to support effective delivery of the programme. 

Scholar Support 

• Support Scholars in their academic, personal and professional development through the AAI leadership framework, including check-ins, coaching and progress tracking. 
• Assist in the development, organisation, and delivery of student support programming such as leadership events, workshops, and one-on-one coaching call logistics.
• Support Scholars as they develop their Ashinaga Proposal social impact projects. 

Data & Systems Management 

• Maintain programme records, databases, and reporting tools (including through our Scholar App, CRM, and internal systems). 
• Support the Programme Manager in monitoring programme KPIs and documenting insights. 

Communication 

• Write articles, Scholar profiles, and programme updates for use on the Ashinaga UK website, newsletters, and external reports. 
• Create multimedia content (photos, short videos, social media material) to showcase Scholar stories and impact

Main Responsibilities

· Assisting the CEO and the Executive Team Members in the development and delivery of the Society’s many activities and projects to ensure all tasks are being completed within timelines, effectively and to high standards

· Supporting the Conferences and Events Manager in the development and running of an extensive programme of network events and workshops, and the Society’s annual conference

The ITF is looking for an experienced administrative leader to head our Maritime Administration team. This role is central to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of support across our global maritime work.

About the Role

The Head of Maritime Administration will lead the London-based team responsible for providing reliable, high-quality administrative support to the ITF’s maritime sections, department and affiliates. The role combines strategic oversight with practical, day-to-day management to ensure teams have the systems, structures and information they need to deliver their workplans.

You will oversee administrative processes, maintain constructive relationships with affiliates and social partners, manage venue and service contracts, and support accurate and timely budget administration. This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.

The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.

Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.

Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.

What we are looking for

This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment.  To be successful you will be required to demonstrate a confident attitude supported by good written and verbal communication skills.  You must be comfortable using Microsoft office suite, events management platforms and our CRM system (currently Salesforce). You will be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.  An ability to engage with a wide range of people is also advantageous. • Ensure all events comply with safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and health & safety policies.
• Ensure events are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and are accessible to people with a range of mental health needs and disabilities.

The Institute of Physics (IOP), in collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Science Made Simple (SMS), is seeking a proactive and highly organised Project Coordinator for a fixed period until 31st March 2028 to support delivery of the Boosting Science Education in Wales initiative, funded by the Welsh Government’s Curriculum for Wales Grant.

This three-year project aims to address the shortage of physics and chemistry practitioners in Wales by improving science teaching and learning outcomes across primary and secondary schools.

About the role

We are currently looking for an impassioned and self-driven individual to join our activities team to deliver exceptional service to our students, through engaging with the 350+ student groups, which deliver an incredible range of world-class opportunities to their members.

You will coordinate the creation of new student groups and manage funding opportunities as well as lead on the onboarding for new committee members and oversee administration for the minibus fleet. You will review, advise on, and approve society event/trip budgets and finance, in collaboration with the Activities (Events) Team. You will also support clubs and societies to effectively manage their finances, and  review Society sponsorship contracts to make sure they are in-line with College and Union policies, that directly benefit and enhance the student experience.

A significant part of the role will be to deliver our annual budgeting process in line with Imperial College Union's grant allocation and financial policy, as well as supporting student-led groups to plan budgets effectively.

The role sits within the Directorate of Membership Services and the post will have a cross-departmental focus to ensure our training package, volunteer support and all processes are equitable and effective for all student groups.

What you would be doing

The Activities Coordinator (Operations) is a critical role in delivering the Students’ Union’s strategic objective of fun and inclusive communities through support, development and empowerment of student-led groups. The role is responsible for supporting the:

• Delivery of training relating to financial processes
• Processing financial documentation that enables diverse activity for student groups
• Coordination of finances associated with club and society activity, annual and event budgeting in conjunction with colleagues in the finance team.

Alongside the Activities Manager, elected Officer Trustees, and the wider Activities Team, the role will support the delivering of a high-quality support service for student-led groups.

To be considered for this role, you will enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks related to an area of specialist knowledge and will thrive on learning more about topics related to sustainability standards. Having gained a good level of work experience, you are familiar with project administration, research or analysis, stakeholder engagement and communications. You are keen to provide all-round assistance to several exciting ISEAL projects. The position will be based in ISEAL’s Impacts and Innovations team.

Project support

• Contribute to outreach to project stakeholders, Community Members, partners & event attendees, answering and directing queries and scheduling appointments and virtual/ in-person meetings

About the role

The student representation team is an integral part of the Student’s Union here at Imperial College. We empower students to change the world around them. From running elections and supporting student-led campaigns, to delivering research and insight on student opinion – our team amplifies the voices of students and supports them in inspiring change and making the world a better place: in the Union, in the College, in the local area and beyond.

We are currently looking for an upbeat and impassioned individual to help support the Representation Manager in our primary objectives of representing students effectively and delivering the best student led experience possible. You will be an outstanding teammate working closely with Officer Trustees and elected student representatives to ensure that positive and impactful change is driven successfully. You will also help deliver Union democratic functions to ensure our representation is engaging and inclusive and enables students to be involved in the decision making at every level.

The Representation Coordinator is a role to support and enable effective student representation within Imperial College Union. The role will ensure students are central to Union decision making by supporting fair democratic processes and helping to provide an excellent student experience.

The Role

As Youth Work Coordinator, you will take a lead role in the planning, coordination and delivery of youth clubs and activities. You will be responsible for setting up and developing new sessions, coordinating day-to-day delivery, supporting youth workers and volunteers, and ensuring high-quality youth work practice in line with the YMCA Youth Work Strategy and Principles.
