About the role

The Database Manager will join our Fundraising Team, supporting this team and the Finance and Administration Manager. You will help Autistica process and maximise the quality of its data, so that it can be used to create insights that will help us increase our income.

This role is responsible for the management of the Raisers Edge CRM System which incorporates all data for fundraising and engagement purposes and records all voluntary gifts and Gift Aid. You will be responsible for importing data into Raisers Edge from third-party platforms as well as direct income and data streams, understanding the implications of data imports, and checking data quality of the imported data.

Working across the department, you will take ownership for the delivery of high-quality data processing, ensuring systems capture the right data about supporters so the charity can plan insight-led activities to raise the voluntary income needed for Autistica to achieve its mission.

You will be responsible for ensuring that Autistica develops its Raiser Edge processes; proactively leading on improvements to the database and will lead on the training staff members in how to use and maximise the database, championing a culture of capturing data and then building reports that will create insights that will inform the work of the Fundraising Team.

As the GDPR lead within Autistica, you will ensure that we are compliant in all aspects of our storage and usage of data and champion a culture of best practice.  You will assist the team in trouble-shooting and routine maintenance, acting as the primary system administrator for the Raisers Edge environment.

Your great experience of using, managing, and improving fundraising databases will enable the team to develop the confidence, skills and insights that will enable them to maximise their use of Raisers Edge as a tool to develop income and give superb donor stewardship. All of this will help us to drive performance so that Autistica can achieve its ambitious and visionary goals for autistic people.

About our Team:

Our Fundraising Team consists of ten friendly, talented team members who are committed to raising funds from Trusts & Foundations, Corporates, Major Donors, Community, Sponsored Events and Regular Givers. We are committed to driving performance in everything we do with and for our supporters and for autistic people. 

We are planning to commence a blended work pattern from January 2022, where staff will work up to and including two days a week from our new office, soon to be based in vibrant Old Street, Central London; with the option to either work from home (or wherever you'd like to work!) or from the office for the remaining three days of each week. Our core working hours are 10 AM - 4 PM, to accommodate flexibility in your preference on start-finish times.
