The primary responsibility of the Digital Skills Tutor will be to design and deliver high quality, learner-centred teaching, and learning and assessment experiences to our employed and unemployed adult learners from Entry level to Level 1, while supporting the Adult and Community Learning Manager to achieve the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Teaching
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met
- Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- Rigorously monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance
- Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Administration
- To carry out and keep records of initial and diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly
- To identify materials and equipment/resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students
- To develop differentiated Individual Learning Plans with students, monitor and track learners’ progress, providing regular feedback and strategically addressing areas of weakness maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff
Qualifications:
- Teaching or training qualification for working in adult learning (e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent suitable experience)
- A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
- Level 3 or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. ICT) or willingness to work towards a Digital Skills teaching qualification (desirable).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Practical work experience as an ICT Tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios
- Experience of teaching adult learners and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role
- Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work
- Experience of managing mixed groups of learners
- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team
Desirable

Teaching

- Learner attendance and punctuality is monitored and where this falls below expectations, suitable interventions are carried out.
Administration
- Maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines.
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff.
- Providing feedback on appropriate documentation for example observation, IQA reports etc.
- Running end of course evaluations and writing tutor end of course reviews.
General
- To comply with any Health & Safety regulations and, in particular, be familiar with the procedure to be adopted in case of fire and or other Health and Safety concerns e.g. Risk Assessments.
- To attend and participate in meetings, including management meetings, end of term tutor meetings and Westway Trust staff meetings.
- Attending training with Westway Trust and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and keeping up to date with developments in adult learning.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification at Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care or, equivalent relevant and recent experience.
- Either a full teaching qualification for working in adult learning (DTLLS, PGCE or DET) or, a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Previous experience in assessing and tutoring adult health & social care learners.
- Proven experience in adult education.
- A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of teaching and assessing Health and Social Care qualifications in post 16/further education or adult education.
- Experience of teaching adult learners of mixed abilities and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role.

Oasis Nurture
Oasis Nurture is a project that is carried out on the Village. It is a therapeutic intervention designed specifically for those children who might be described as the missing middle – those who do not meet the threshold for an ECHP but who nevertheless struggle to engage with the curriculum for a variety of reasons.
Oasis Nurture is in its pilot phase, working with four local schools, offering a two day a week intervention to a small group of children.
As a Teacher, you will be working with a maximum of six children supported by a key worker and a therapeutic practitioner. You will work alongside a therapeutic lead and a clinical lead.
In this role you will be:
· Working with the home school and parents/carers to understand the children’s needs and developing agreed goals for learning and emotional and social development
· Developing a basic curriculum for Key Stage 2 children for numeracy and literacy, related to their stage learning at their home school, so that they don’t fall behind.
· Providing a personalised, bespoke and restorative approach for each individual child to help address their challenges and fulfil their potential.
· Maintaining clear and accurate records for individual children on the designated online systems and reporting back to the home school and parents/carers on the agreed goals
· You will also be working with the Therapeutic Lead to provide opportunities for mindful therapeutic care to remove barriers to learning and provide emotional support to access the curriculum. While this role requires primary teaching experience it also requires someone who has experience of working in trauma responsive ways and understands the therapeutic needs of children who struggle to engage.
Oasis Nurture is not an Alternative Provision; it is a part time intervention designed to support local schools and children and their families. Oasis Nurture is not a statutory provision and does not therefore follow teachers’ pay and conditions. Oasis offers all the usual employment benefits including sick pay and pension.

Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
- Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
- Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
- Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
- Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.

A unique opportunity to join the team at Basis Yorkshire as a Navigation and Support Worker for women who sex work and who are sexually exploited who are vulnerably housed.
You will provide appropriate emotional and practical 1-to-1 support to women involved in sex work and those who are sexually exploited, who often experience stigma and face barriers to accessing services. You will be enabling people to access support and navigate services, particularly hose directly related to housing directly and indirectly. You will be working in partnership with other agencies and making appropriate referrals for people to access other services to support their wider needs.

Puropse of Alcohol Recovery Engagement
At our homeless hostel, our Alcohol Recovery and Engagement team deliver high quality, psychologically informed housing and hostel services to vulnerable, single homeless individuals, a number of whom have complex needs. These needs may include mental health issues, brain injury, neurodiversity, substance misuse and/or offending behaviour.
Working alongside the wider team at YMCA Wirral, the Alcohol Engagement Worker will recruit clients at the earliest possible stage, to deliver structured interventions that reduce harm to themselves and support them to access pathways to substance misuse treatment and wider health interventions.
The Alcohol Recovery & Engagement Worker will help individuals begin and sustain their recovery by conducting assessments, creating personalised plans, connecting clients to community resources, and fostering a positive recovery environment. Team members will also support individuals into both abstinence-based and medically assisted forms of recovery to reduce alcohol related harm.

- Delivering harm reduction strategies and techniques within the CDE.
