Entraide is a well-established charity based in Solihull, providing practical, holistic support to refugees, migrants and other vulnerable individuals. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Refugee & Migrant Adviser to join our team.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with clients, providing advice, advocacy and casework support across a range of issues, including housing, welfare benefits, immigration signposting, employment, education, healthcare and social integration.
Working closely with statutory agencies, community organisations and volunteers, you will help clients navigate complex systems, access their rights and services, and build independent lives within their communities.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one advice, guidance and advocacy to refugees and migrants.
- Assess client needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records.
- Support clients to access housing, benefits, healthcare, education and employment opportunities.
- Liaise with external agencies and make referrals where appropriate.
- Deliver outreach and drop-in sessions across the local area.
- Contribute to monitoring, reporting and service development.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with refugees, migrants or other vulnerable groups.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can manage a varied caseload and prioritise competing demands.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
