Head of Alumni Content Strategy

This role is based in central Cambridge. We practise a hybrid working model and the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days a week.

Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and subject to approval.

Following a recent team restructure, we are now ready to recruit our new Head of Alumni Programming. This position is part of the Alumni Engagement team within the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations office. The Alumni Engagement team is accountable for increasing the breadth and depth of engagement with the University's global community of over 320,000 alumni ambassadors, advocates and supporters who are critical to the delivery of our strategic goals and the University of Cambridge's significant potential.

This role will oversee a small team and report directly to the Director of Alumni Engagement. The Head of Alumni Programming is accountable for designing, and implementing an alumni content programme that strengthens alumni connections to each other and the University through the use of a segmented, data-driven approach and targeted engagement.

Working with colleagues within Development and Alumni Relations, the wider University, alumni, and external stakeholders the post-holder will design a content strategy for a global programme of in person and online events, email and social media marketing, hardcopy communications, and alumni websites.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in data-driven engagement programmes and strong project management experience, as well as excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building credentials. We are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys guiding a team and has great relationship management skills.

Development and Alumni Relations is expanding, and the Associate Director, London is a key appointment. You will work to build and strengthen our networks of alumni and supporters in London, where many of the University's most important and longstanding supporters are based. You will have the opportunity to work on six- and seven-figure gifts, securing philanthropic support for priorities across the Collegiate University, such as building a new Children's Hospital, ensuring global food security, powering a zero-carbon future, protecting endangered ecosystems, understanding the implications of AI, and ensuring everyone has access to world-leading education, regardless of background.

You will be part of the International and Regional Team, reporting to the Head of Development, London. You will work with academics across the full breadth of the Collegiate University, giving you an opportunity to pursue truly donor-led major gift fundraising. Working closely with the Director of Development, President and wider Fellowship, the Head of Philanthropy will manage major gift prospect activity and raise funds to support the strategic objectives of the College. The Head of Philanthropy will manage and develop a portfolio of relationships and undertake prospect and donor visits, to ask alumnae and others for philanthropic support the College. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Head of Philanthropy will be responsible for managing the Philanthropy Officer.

Supporter Engagement Officer

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.

The Supporter Engagement Officer will play a key role in engaging, involving and inspiring all supporters of Tyndale House through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. One of our ambitious plans for 2024 and beyond includes a capital campaign to rebuild our 1960s library into a state-of-the-art facility. We are looking for people to work with us to make this vision a reality.

The successful candidate will be integral to achieving our strategic priorities of generating income through repeat support, and providing exceptional journeys for our community of supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged. The role will provide strategic support to the Director of Engagement and work with the communications and development team to ensure that our outputs are cohesive and coherent.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally within the Charity sector. He/she will be a self-starter, highly motivated and with the ability to work well as part of a team.

There is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be an active, practising, evangelical Christian in agreement with the doctrinal basis of Tyndale House and living in accord with our Ethos Statement (as permitted under schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010).
