At Cats Protection we passionately believe that neutering cats before they can breed is an essential part of cat ownership and without neutering the UK’s cat population would quickly get out of control. Our neutering team lead volunteers help spread positive neutering messages and make it easier for owners on low incomes to get their cats neutered. They help raise awareness of the benefits of neutering, promote our neutering schemes and lead and support a team of neutering volunteers.

What can you expect to be doing?

• our neutering team lead volunteers support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported
• promoting and sharing the benefits of Cats Protection’s neutering schemes
• responding to neutering enquiries, from members of the public and the team of neutering volunteers, providing advice and guidance in line with Cats Protection policies
• completing relevant neutering paperwork and distributing neutering vouchers
• keeping electronic records, managing the group’s neutering budget, and utilising appropriate Cats Protection systems
• keeping the branch committee updated on branch neutering activity and budget
• ensuring cats and kittens are neutered in line with Cats Protection policies

Time expectation 

Our neutering team leader volunteers usually spend between five to 10 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

The MILTON Keynes & North Bucks Branch is one of the branches of RSPCA, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society of RSPCA.

This is a remote role ideal for someone who can commit regular time and enjoys working in a small, collaborative team.

IT First Line Support Volunteer responsibilities

Monitor IT Support Email: Check daily, sort and redirect issues as needed.

User Management:

• Onboarding and offboarding staff and volunteers
• Creating and managing user accounts in Google Workspace
• Assigning email access and permissions

First-Line Support:

• Triage incoming IT queries
• Basic troubleshooting and escalation where necessary

Ticket Management:

• Log and track support requests
• Ensure timely resolution or escalation

Participate in Monthly IT Call: Share updates and collaborate with the team.

What we are looking for in a volunteer Website Coordinator

• Experience in a similar IT support role
• Understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting
• Some knowledge of Google Workspace administration (advantageous)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Comfortable using ticketing systems (or willing to learn)
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer
• An interest in animal welfare.
• Someone who is flexible and can offer an ongoing commitment

Your experience can ensure our existing 3 charity shops generate sustainable income for our branch, which goes to fund the care and rehabilitation of animals in need to find their forever homes. 

About us:

RSPCA Lincolnshire Mid, NE & Lincoln Branch rehabilitates and re-homes animals rescued by the RSPCA's national Inspectors. We also promote responsible pet ownership and hold animal action days such as for microchipping.

We currently run 3 charity shops and regular fundraising events, to support more than 100 animals escape cruelty and neglect, to find their forever home each year.

What you can bring to our board:

The Trustees make extremely important decisions for the branch, for example deciding on how to raise income for the branch, as well as meeting in sub-groups to consider important subject matters with recommendations being made to the full board of trustees.  Our branch is an extremely passionate branch with 8 trustees currently forming the committee.

We are looking for someone willing to bring their retail management experience to our board. We want to ensure our current shops generate sustainable income for the branch, as well as grow our shop network across our branch area over time. You will support our decisions around revenue models, customer service, marketing, data analysis and pricing. You may have experience of increasing revenue through strategic partnerships, gift aid, online sales, employee and volunteer engagement/training, volunteer recruitment and much more. 

You will ideally live and/or work in our branch area in Lincolnshire, UK, to bring local insight to our retail decisions.

We meet monthly as a board, with most of these online but we like to also meet at least 3 times each year in-person, as well as take part in the branch's local fundraising events.

Grassroots Welsh charity TIR COED has been connecting people with land (Tir) and woodlands (Coed) for over 25 years. We deliver outdoor training, learning and wellbeing programmes in Mid and South West Wales, across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys, successfully benefitting hundreds of people each year in those counties.

Our aim is to reduce health and wealth inequalities for marginalized people, while improving community spaces and biodiversity for the benefit of all. 

We are looking for 4 new trustees to deliver good governance for the charity and to help us continue to set and achieve our aims as we move into a new cycle of strategic planning and delivery.

We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. Transferrable management skills or other relevant experience (e.g. HR, law, marketing) in any field is an advantage but experience of being a trustee is not essential: you will be joining a team of experienced trustees from a range of backgrounds in the public and private sectors and training can be arranged.

We welcome applications from young adults who wish to contribute their voices to our work while enhancing management experience. We also welcome applications from former Tir Coed trainees. Our organisation would benefit from more diverse and under-represented voices so please apply even if you haven’t done anything like this before. Across Cats Protection some of our cats looking for new and loving homes might be shy, nervous or aggressive depending on their past or if they are struggling to adapt to the rescue environment. Our kitten socialisation volunteers help the kittens in our care by spending time enriching each kittens experience through play, exercise and handling until they are happy and confident enough to find their perfect forever homes.

Our kitten socialisation volunteers spend 1 to 2 hours a week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed. We request that volunteers spend time with a particular litter of kittens on a weekly basis, as this will be more beneficial for the kittens.

• Completing homing questionnaires with potential adopters ‘virtually’, as well as face to face, which may involve visiting the homes of potential adopters
• Carrying out follow up communications if required
• Using online map searches to match cats and kittens to new homes

Our cat match volunteers usually spend 2 to 3 hours a week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

ROLDA UK is a registerd charity that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray dogs and cats in both Romania and the Ukraine.

As a Champion for ROLDA, you will play a crucial role in driving our online and in-person fundraising efforts. This position is ideal for a passionate individual dedicated to animal welfare who wants to help make a tangible difference towards our rescue efforts. In tandem with the ROLDA team, you will lead initiatives, develop strategies, and inspire supporters to contribute to ROLDA’s mission, amplifying our impact.

Key Responsibilities:
● Fundraising Strategy Development: Collaborate with ROLDA’s leadership to create and implement innovative online         and in-person fundraising campaigns.
● Campaign Management: Coordinate and execute engaging, high-impact fundraising campaigns, such as peer-to-peer       fundraisers, social media drives, and seasonal events.
● Event Leadership: Organise and attend fundraising events, representing ROLDA in the community. Recruit and manage     a team of event volunteers when necessary.
● Donor Engagement: Foster relationships with existing and potential donors, recognise and thank contributors, and               cultivate new support channels.
● Social Media Outreach: Collaborate with the social media team to create content that promotes fundraising efforts and       highlights donor stories and campaign updates.
● Reporting and Goal Setting: Set and track fundraising goals, prepare reports to measure progress, and share                     outcomes with the team to enhance future initiatives.

Requirements:
● Previous experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or community engagement (experience in nonprofit organisations is a plus)
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to connect with a diverse audience
● Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines
● Availability to attend periodic in-person events
● Passionate about animal welfare and committed to ROLDA’s mission
