Job description

Behaviour Change Officer, London


£28,441 per annum

(inclusive of a London Weighting allowance of £3,995pa)

Differing working hours per week are available – based in London

In this exciting role, your responsibilities will include delivering behaviour change projects in a range of settings including schools, universities, workplaces and communities, supporting people to travel more by walking and cycling and promoting active travel in the context of each project, for example, enabling cycling to school encouraged by the Sustrans Bike It project. You will also recruit local ‘champions’ and work with partners to develop projects and resources that respond to the needs of a diverse range of Londoners and local communities.

With experience of delivering practical projects within a community based environment, you will have previously worked with children and young people and have experience of working with a diverse range of adults. You will also have experience of partnership working and delivering projects with competing priorities. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent presentation and organisational skills, you will be IT literate and have the ability to motivate and enthuse others. An understanding of issues facing communities that experience inequalities is required, as is a commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport.

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Wednesday 4 March 2020. Interviews will take place in London on Wednesday 18 March 2020.
