We are looking for a Philanthropy Officer to support and grow our well-established major donor programme at an exciting point in our organisational development, following the launch of our new five-year strategy.

About the role

As our Philanthropy Officer, you will support the delivery of our major donor programme, helping to steward a committed community of donors and ensuring that relationships, communications and records are managed accurately and professionally.

You will provide high-quality supporter care, carry out research to identify new prospects, and help coordinate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activity so that donors feel valued and informed about the impact of their support.

Working closely with the Head of Giving & Communications and wider Fundraising team, you will support the planning and delivery of major donor activity, including coordinating communications and events, maintaining donor data and contributing to reporting.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with around two years experience in fundraising, ideally with exposure to individual giving or major donor fundraising, and so this role would suit someone early in their fundraising career who is looking to specialise in major donor fundraising, and keen to learn how to build and steward high-value relationships that generates income and long-term support.

You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You will be a strong communicator, confident building relationships with supporters and colleagues, and motivated to deliver a high standard of supporter care.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Services Manager to lead BBS UK’s support services for children, adults and families living with Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS).

About the Role

The Move-On Accommodation Support Officer will provide practical and emotional support, advocacy, and housing management to survivors of domestic abuse who are residents living within 11 of BCWA’s move-on accommodation properties as part of the Safer Futures Project. 

The postholder will be required to travel regularly to the 11 dispersed move-on accommodation properties, primarily in Croydon, with a smaller number in Bromley, and must be able to travel independently across both boroughs.

The role focuses on supporting residents to sustain tenancies, develop independent living skills, and access appropriate services to enable recovery and a life free from domestic abuse.

Job Overview

The Cathedral Safeguarding Officer is the designated safeguarding professional for Lincoln Cathedral, responsible for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded across all aspects of Cathedral life.

The postholder will ensure compliance with Church of England safeguarding policy, diocesan frameworks and relevant statutory legislation, while promoting a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement.

The Senior Finance Officer is a broad new role reporting to the Head of Finance. We are looking for a part qualified accountant or equivalent who can bring a good understanding of bookkeeping and double entry. As a role covering broad areas, you will also need a demonstrable understanding of charity accounting technicalities and recommended practice, ideally gained from working in the sector. With a high level of attention to detail, you should be proficient in the use of finance systems, with Advanced Excel skills, and an interest in utilising AI. 

The role includes interaction at all levels, including senior management and our trustee board and requires skills to communicate finance to non-finance stakeholders and good written skills.

At Endometriosis UK, we are passionate about driving political change for the 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth living with endometriosis in the UK. This role will play an instrumental role in supporting the campaigns and policy function within the wider Communications Team.

This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Policy and Campaigns Manager and Head of Campaigns and Communications to provide administration and wider support for the charity’s growing policy and campaigns function. A key part of the role will also be providing administration support for the policy function of the charity and the Head of Communications and Campaigns, including administrative support for the All-Party-Parliamentary Group on Endometriosis which Endometriosis UK provides secretariat support for. Tasks will include writing minutes, helping produce briefing papers, and booking events and meeting rooms.

You will also be the first point of call for our campaign supporters and will be aiding our supporters to take campaign actions through the drafting and creation of e-actions using Engaging Networks. We are looking for a confident and driven marketer who is eager to join a hard-working and ambitious Individual Giving team. Working with different teams across the charity, you'll be planning, managing and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media including digital and print. You'll also work with external agencies on our campaigns. Activities in the acquisition portfolio are diverse; from developing the donor's online user journey to delivering motivational training to fundraisers across the country, your campaigns will drive income and attract new, engaged supporters to the charity.

As well as running the day-to-day campaign activity, the post holder will be responsible for compiling regular reports, across a range of financial and non-financial KPls. Alongside this, they will ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice is top of the agenda.

The successful candidate will have a desire to learn and develop, as well as the confidence to whole-heartedly launch themselves into an energetic team with ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management

· Plan, manage and deliver successful campaigns across a range of channels including digital and print.

· Successful management of agencies and suppliers; ensuring relationships are effective and productive.

· Ensure compliance and adherence to regulation and codes of practice is considered in all campaign activities.

· Work closely with Data and Digital teams to ensure effective processes are worked to and full campaign evaluation is possible.

· Donation page monitoring, reporting and development, to include looking at ways in which to improve the donor's online user journey.

· Continuous improvement through test and learn principles across all activities.

· Integration of campaigns across the charity to drive maximum value.

· Development of compelling communications and materials to support all activities

Planning and Budgeting

· KPI tracking, trend analysis and interrogation of results at all levels.

· Live programme optimisation to ensure targets are met.

· Input to annual planning and development of individual giving campaigns.

· Assist Supporter Acquisition Manager with compilation of detailed income and expenditure campaign budgets.

· Work with Supporter Acquisition Manager in developing the Acquisition programme and strategy.

· Input to monthly forecasting and regular reporting across a range of financial and non-financial KPl's.

Finance and Reporting

· Ensure daily campaign tracking and reporting.

· Routine end of campaign reviews and analysis.

· Ongoing reporting on long-term success measures such as attrition and ROI.

· Invoice reconciliation and processing for timely payment.

· Non-financial KPI trend reporting - such as opt-in rates and quality scoring.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

The Architectural Support Officer plays a central role in this work. You will support the day-to-day operation of the Trust’s consent process, helping applicants and their advisers with applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring decisions are communicated clearly, professionally and with authority.

This is a varied role combining administration, public-facing work and exposure to architecture and conservation. It would suit someone with an interest in the built environment and heritage who enjoys detailed work and engaging with the public.

The role supports a high volume of applications across the Suburb and is central to the Trust’s day-to-day operation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Architectural and technical support

• Support the architectural team in reviewing applications, including preparing summaries and assisting with research and policy.
• Maintain a strong working understanding of the Trust’s Design Guidance and relevant policies.
• Assist applicants in understanding how proposals align with the Trust’s requirements while being clear about the Trust’s role and the limits of advice that can be provided.
• Attend occasional site visits with colleagues to view properties and proposals.
• There will be opportunities to contribute to talks and events, depending on interests and experience.

Application and consent process

• Manage the administration of applications for Trust consent, ensuring they are registered, validated and processed efficiently.
• Act as a first point of contact for applicants and their advisers, providing clear guidance on process and requirements.
• Calculate and process application fees; raise invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
• Notify neighbours and manage consultation processes in line with Trust procedures.
• Prepare and issue decision letters and consent documentation.
• Track applications through each stage of the process, ensuring deadlines and actions are monitored and progressed.

Committee and governance support

• Prepare and circulate papers for Plans Committee and Trust Council.
• Take clear and accurate minutes and support follow-up actions.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations.

Records and systems

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applications, decisions and property information.
• Support ongoing improvements to record-keeping, processes and digital systems.
• Ensure documentation is well organised, accessible and compliant with Trust requirements.

Team and office contribution

• Respond to general enquiries from residents by phone, email and in person.

● Proactively gather information from the Children on the Edge team to develop compelling proposals and budgets for funders.

Reporting
● Proactively feed into the wider fundraising team’s collaboration to ensure we can provide all information required by funders.
● Craft tailored narrative and financial reports that demonstrate impact.
● Support the COO as required in reporting to larger Grants and HNW partnerships. 

Building Relationships
● Cultivate a portfolio of existing, lapsed and new funders.
● Represent Children on the Edge externally to build a network of prospects and support engagement events and activities as needed.
 

Management & Planning
● Acknowledge donations promptly; tracking donor communication in Salesforce.
● Use Salesforce to record and report on prospecting, applications and income. 
● Follow best fundraising regulations practice and comply with relevant legislation.
