About the role
Do you live in Edinburgh or the surrounding area?
As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll be an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Scotland, with a particular focus on Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced relationship builder, someone who can find and develop new supporters. You’ll need excellent local knowledge, and the enthusiasm to develop a brand-new fundraising region.
The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.
You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities and celebrating incredible successes.
No 2 days will look the same as you travel, connect and engage supporters to help us grow income to deliver our mission.
The role is initially offered as an 18-month contract with the potential to become permanent
About you
You’re confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch. This may currently be in a customer service, account management or stewardship role.
You’re experienced in managing and building new and established relationships with a focus on retention and income growth.
You’re enthusiastic, proactive, organised and unafraid to test and try new ideas.
You’re required to be involved being out and about in the community that you’re building, so you must be able to work independently outside of the office in varying locations and enjoy being busy.
Previous experience working in a charity is not required.

Primary location of role
This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Edinburgh area with unlimited access to their own car. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London, Sheffield or Glasgow office.

About the role
Asda Tickled Pink, now in its 29 year, is the partnership between Asda, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! Together we’re on a mission to make checking your boobs, pecs and chests, whoever you are, as normal as your Asda shop. And with the help of customers, colleagues and suppliers, we’ve raised £100m in the process. With our 30 year in partnership on the horizon and investment into a new community fundraising pilot, our goal is to ensure 2026 is our biggest year yet.
The role sits within the philanthropy and partnerships team, which is part of the wider high value partnerships and campaign department. It’s responsible for supporting the Asda partnership team to deliver key fundraising and campaign moments, whilst leading on the delivery of various engagement activities and events. Reporting to the senior partnership manager, Asda and working alongside the Asda partnership manager, and the comms and marketing manager to ensure the Asda Tickled Partnership is delivered to the highest possible standards.
As the partnership officer for the Asda partnership, you’re responsible for supporting the Asda partnership team in engaging Asda’s colleagues in fundraising and raising awareness, across stores, offices and depots, and encouraging them to get involved with Tickled Pink.
About you
Are you an enthusiastic and passionate self-starter who is willing to get stuck in? We’re looking for someone who is excited to take on a key role in the Asda partnership team, working on a sector leading partnership. You’re experienced in working in a faced-paced environment, with the ability to simultaneously manage a wide range of tasks. You can effectively manage your time and prioritise tasks, utilising your strong organisational skills to ensure you can support the delivery of key campaign, fundraising and event moments throughout the year.
You have experience working with partners or stakeholders and utilised your strong communication skills to help achieve shared goals. You have a proven track record in efficiently managing a database or keeping accurate records and ensuring compliance in all you do.
If you’re self-motivated, proactive and want to play a vital role in the Asda partnership team for the benefit of people affected by breast cancer, then this could be the role for you.

This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

Senior Community Fundraiser – North & Midlands
Location: Remote (based in Birmingham or Coventry area) with regular local travel and occasional visits to London and Sheffield
Contract: 18-month fixed term
Hours: 35 per week (open to considering a four-day week)
Salary: £31,000-£34,000

About the role
As Senior Community Fundraiser, you will be an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence across the North and Midlands; local knowledge and networks will be key to success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to:
- Identify and develop relationships with new supporters including individuals, clubs, societies, and local businesses.
- Nurture existing long-term relationships to increase fund raised income and engagement.
- Lead a brand-new pilot for our award-winning Asda Tickled Pink partnership, engaging stores and inspiring colleagues and customers to raise vital funds.
You’ll dedicate 50% of your time to the Asda Tickled Pink pilot, working closely with store teams to increase engagement and income. The other half will focus on developing community fundraising across your region.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An excellent relationship builder providing exceptional customer service / account management / stewardship. Previous experience working in a charity is not required.
- Experience in developing customer relationships / accounts / supporters, with a focus on retention and income growth.
- A confident communicator and natural team player, able to inspire and influence a wide range of audiences.
- Highly organised, able to analyse and organise data, work independently and manage budgets.
You’ll need a full clean driving licence, access to a car, and flexibility to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends.
