As an interim Supervising Solicitor in Public Law, you will supervise and carry out CPAG’s public law legal aid cases, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will play an active role in managing CPAG’s legal practice and conduct high-profile public law litigation.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

In the past, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) have been managed reactively by the CEO and other Fundraising staff as opportunities have arisen. Ataxia UK (AUK) now wants to make a step change, in response to identified potential within the current fundraising landscape, towards strategic management of a pipeline of HNWI. As part of this, AUK is looking to engage a consultant on a fixed term contract, to work closely with the Senior Philanthropy Manager to undertake comprehensive research & scoping, in order to populate a HNWI pipeline for AUK.

The Salvation Army is recruiting a Fundraising Appeals Officer. This critical role will ensure that The Salvation Army maintains and increases its impactful presence as one of the top ten charities in the UK, and as a worldwide Christian Church that puts belief into action.
As Fundraising Appeals Officer, you will:
- Be part of a team responsible for actively engaging members of our Salvation Army churches (corps) and the wider public to ensure sustainable long-term income for The Salvation Army.
- Take the lead on planning and project managing delivery of two church-fundraising appeals, as well as shaping and developing new opportunities for corps to engage their communities in fundraising throughout the year. Working with colleagues and Officers from across The Salvation Army you will help drive forward all aspects of church-based fundraising, ensuring corps have all the support and resources they need to maximise income.
- Be an energetic and enthusiastic fundraiser, with experience of developing and managing community fundraising campaigns & appeals, and a demonstrable understanding of faith-based donor motivations.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong project management skills
- A track record in delivery church-based fundraising activities
- A demonstrable understanding of faith-based donor motivations

About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
Due to internal promotions, we’re now looking for 2 new events officers to play a key role within the team. Managing the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges and engagement events such as our Carols by Candlelight, supporter focussed events and key internal events too. You’ll be a supporter for hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters.
This role is a vital role in the events team and is perfect for someone looking to take that next step in their career.
About you
We’re looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks as well as event logistics and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
You’ll be a key point of contact with hundreds of our supporters and staff, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and have experience working as part of a team.
We’re a dedicated team with our supporters at the heart of what we do, if you have an interest in charity fundraising, events management, and supporter experiences then this could be the role for you.
