About the role

We are looking for a Press Office Assistant to help us make, break and react to some of the biggest science stories in the national news. This is an office-based role in a fast-moving, open-plan team based in the Wellcome Collection building.

The Press Office Assistant will take responsibility for the logistics of this busy press office.  They will help the press officers to efficiently run multiple press briefings a week, monitor the media for controversial stories about science, and help to evaluate the impact of the SMC’s work.  This is not a Press Officer role, but everything you do will be aimed at supporting the SMC team at the SMC to ensure the news media get access to accurate, evidenced-based science when science is in the headlines.

You’ll also support digital campaigns and new initiatives, to encourage sustained support for our work. You’ll directly help to secure the financial support needed to expand OTR’s services and reach more beneficiaries. In addition, you’ll analyse the performance of our digital channels – interpreting website analytics, social media metrics, and email campaign results – to provide recommendations that enhance our communications strategies and ensure ongoing impact.

JOB PURPOSE

The Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and marketing strategies. The role involves planning, creating, curating and managing high-quality digital content across our website, social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. Furthermore, you will support key areas of our fundraising strategy, including trust and grant applications, horizon scanning and ensuring excellent fundraising administration across all areas of activity.

This position is instrumental in supporting the Head of Fundraising in developing and strengthening OTR’s income streams and increasing awareness of OTR’s services through effective communications. 

SPECIFIC ROLE DUTIES

Supporting the fundraising strategy

• Support OTR’s donor and community fundraiser stewardship, through excellent communication and effective relationship management.

• Support the implementation of fundraising communications across channels.

• Support with small to medium size trust and grant applications, including horizon scanning.

• Support the stewardship of small and medium-sized trusts and foundations including scoping, applications, reporting and funder management.

• Create engaging content and campaigns to drive income generation.

• Help build the small pool of regular donors.

Website and CRM maintenance

• Work with OTR’s Head of Fundraising, Administrative Team Leader and web developer to update and enhance the OTR website.

• Monitor website performance, user engagement and SEO trends, suggesting and

implementing improvements to enhance user experience and visibility.

• Ensure our CRM (Donorfy) is utilised effectively to record, monitor and report on fundraising activity and income.

Social media

• Work collaboratively with the team, to contribute to OTR’s social media presence, by creating and scheduling engaging, accessible, and informative content that resonates with our audience and supports OTR’s mission.

• Identify new opportunities to grow OTR’s social media reach, building awareness of our services, fundraising and outreach work.

• Regularly report on social media performance, using insights to inform future content and strategy.

• Utilise paid ads to support activity, where relevant.

Email marketing

• Manage the planning, creation, and delivery of OTR’s quaterly email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, fundraising initiatives and service information and signposting.

• Ensure all email communications are engaging, well-structured, and in line with OTR’s brand and tone of voice.

• Assist in the promotion of key OTR events.

• Manage and grow OTR’s email marketing lists, ensuring they are up to date and GDPR compliant.

• Track and analyse the performance of email campaigns, providing reports and insights to the Head of Fundraising.

Content creation

• With support from the Youth Participation Officer and Youth Board, create engaging, accessible, and informative content for OTR’s digital channels, including the website, social media and email marketing.

• Develop multimedia content (for example, videos and graphics) to enhance OTR’s

communication methods and increase engagement.

• Contribute to blogs, news articles and case studies that highlight OTR’s work, impact and achievements in the sector.

Brand and tone of voice

• Ensure that all digital content aligns with OTR’s brand, tone of voice and style,

maintaining a cohesive and recognisable identity across all platforms.

• Promote OTR as the leading place to turn to for support, ensuring that our content

reflects our professionalism, reputation and expertise.

Analytics and reporting

• Use analytics tools to track the performance of OTR’s digital communications, including website traffic, email engagement and social media reach.

• Provide regular reports on digital performance to the Head of Fundraising, including insights and recommendations for improvement.

Purpose of the Role

The Executive Assistant & Governance Officer is a critical role ensuring the seamless operation of the Pathway Fund's leadership and governance structures. This role provides dedicated, high-level support directly to the CEO, the Board of Directors, and logistical support for the Social Investment Committee (SIC). Crucially, this position acts as the CEO's operational anchor, tracking team deliverables and managing external-facing events and communications assets to ensure the organisation operates efficiently, professionally, and at pace.

This is a highly focused role that requires judgment, discretion, and the confidence to manage senior stakeholders, prioritise competing demands, and keep the organisation's leadership moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive Support to the CEO

• Provide proactive, high-quality EA support to the CEO, including complex diary management, meeting coordination, and travel planning.
• Manage the CEO’s inbox, triaging communications, acting as the first point of contact, and handling correspondence with professionalism and discretion.
• Prepare comprehensive briefings, presentations, daily itineraries, and follow-up actions for the CEO ahead of senior meetings.
• Act as a gatekeeper, anticipating the CEO's needs and protecting their time to focus on strategy and partnerships.

2. CEO's Team Delivery & Tracking

• Manage the weekly team meeting cycle and associated papers on behalf of the CEO.
• Monitor team delivery by actively chasing team members on key deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Track actions and decisions generated by the CEO to ensure organisational follow-through and accountability.

3. Governance Support: Board & SIC

• Provide full administrative and governance support to the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with the Programme Manager (who acts as the formal secretariat for the SIC) to ensure all Social Investment Committee coordination, paper distribution, and logistical support is effectively managed.
• Schedule Board and SIC meetings, ensuring maximum attendance from senior stakeholders.
• Prepare, collate, and distribute high-quality agenda packs and papers for the Board in a timely manner.
• Attend Board meetings to take accurate, professional minutes and capture critical action points.
• Maintain and manage the Board Hub, ensuring it acts as a secure, well-organised, and up-to-date digital repository for all company papers, governance documentation, and member details.
• Track key governance deadlines and compliance requirements.

4. External Events & Project Coordination

• Organise and manage logistics for high-level external conferences, meetings, and events involving external partners, the Board, and the SIC.
• Lead the coordination of the annual Board away day.
• Support the logistical delivery of specific programme events, including Dormant Assets (DA) programme wave support and events.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure the smooth operational delivery of programme-related administrative tasks.
• Organise and manage (Fund Manager Initiative) FMI events for investment managers.

5. Communications & Asset Management

• Keep the Pathway Fund's external communication mediums and digital assets up to date.
• Maintain and update the Pathway Fund website, working with colleagues to publish agreed content.
• Keep the organisational knowledge base accurate and well-maintained.

6. General

• Handle sensitive and confidential information regarding the CEO, Board, and SIC with absolute integrity.

The Role

About You

As PR and Policy Officer, we are looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm and creativity to the role. You will be educated to degree level or have gained equivalent experience working in a similar role. You will have outstanding communication skills, have experience of writing for diverse audiences (e.g. newsletters, social media content, briefing papers, press releases) and have excellent editorial and proofreading skills with consistent accuracy. You will also possess strong data analysis skills to draw results, trends and conclusions from qualitative or quantitative data sources.

This part-time role (3 days per week) is offered as a fixed-term contract over four years, with responsibilities evolving across the project lifecycle — from strategy and planning in the early stages to website redevelopment, major public programmes and legacy outputs in later phases. The Website & Communications Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and wider team to support clear communication, shared understanding and joined-up audience engagement. Role Purpose

The Website & Communications Manager will lead iniva’s communications for a four-year fixed-term
project (3 days per week), with responsibilities evolving across the project — from setting up systems
and plans in Year 1 to delivering public activity, website redevelopment and legacy outputs in later
phases.

Focusing on Living Legacies, the postholder will lead communications activity to grow and diversify
audiences while maintaining strong engagement with existing audiences. They will manage a small
communications team, including the Communications Coordinator, and coordinate different
freelancers over the life of the project, such as a PR Consultant, Website Developer and Podcast
Producer to deliver clear, consistent and values-led communication across the organisation.
Working closely with a freelance Website Developer and internal teams, the postholder will oversee
the redevelopment of iniva’s website, ensuring it is accessible, user-friendly and supports the
project’s digital content and long-term needs. They will also work collaboratively with the Senior
Fundraising Manager, Project Manager and Project Curator to ensure joined-up, timely storytelling that
reflects the aims of the project and supports audience engagement.

Project Specific Duties

The duties below reflect the role across its four-year term. Activity in Years 1–2 will focus on
communications planning, audience development, team coordination and early digital work. Website
redevelopment (Years 2–3) and press activity for exhibitions (Years 3–4) will increase in later phases.
Not all responsibilities will be active at the same time.

Communications Strategy, Planning and Audience Development

• To review, refine and deliver the Living Legacies Communications Plan in collaboration with the wider project team, ensuring alignment with audience development goals, legacy planning and funder expectations.
• To lead audience development activity for Living Legacies, balancing growth and diversification with the retention of iniva’s existing audiences.
• To ensure consistent application of iniva and Living Legacies brand, tone of voice and values across all communications outputs.
• To establish and maintain communications systems, workflows and standards to support effective delivery across the team and with external contributors.
• To manage marketing, communications and documentation budgets ensuring activity is delivered within agreed resources for the organisation.

Website Redevelopment & Digital Experience

• To provide oversight of the redevelopment of iniva’s website (2027-2028), working closely with the Website Developer and internal stakeholders to ensure the site meets accessibility standards, audience engagement objectives and digital preservation needs.
• To manage the Website Developer and relevant budget lines to deliver a user-friendly, accessible website that supports archival access, digital outputs and the wider public programme.
• To ensure the website reflects the interpretive aims of Living Legacies and supports long-term access to project outputs, including oral histories, exhibitions and archival content.
• To gather and commission content from project partners and programme leads to ensure inclusive, participant-led storytelling is reflected across digital platforms.

Content, Campaigns & Creative Management

•  To oversee the creation, scheduling and publication of engaging digital content for Living Legacies, working with the Communications Coordinator across social media, email newsletters and website updates to raise awareness of the project, grow and engage existing and new audiences, and share stories, opportunities and project milestones.
• To commission and manage promotional materials, including digital and print assets, working with graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other freelance creatives to create compelling content that reflects the project's values and reaches diverse audiences.
•  To provide clear briefs, quality control and sign-off for commissioned content, ensuring outputs are on brand, accessible, high quality and delivered on schedule, and support meaningful engagement with participants, partners and audiences.
• To coordinate the promotion of project events and exhibitions, including digital and print listings, invitations, ticketing and on-site communications logistics, helping to maximise attendance, participation and the visibility of Living Legacies across communities and partner networks.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• To oversee monitoring and evaluation of communications activity for Living Legacies, drawing on digital engagement data across web, email and social media platforms to understand audience reach, engagement and impact.
• To lead on communications-related reporting for senior management, the Board and funders, working with the Communications Coordinator to collate insights, data and evidence that demonstrate impact, learning and audience development.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part Time Advocacy Support Worker with the delivery of our Community One-to-One Advocacy project.

The Project Worker / Advocacy Assistant will work closely with the Project Manager to deliver a high-quality, person-centred Community One-to-One Advocacy service across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Diben y swydd

Mae Cronfa Mullany (The Mullany Fund) yn elusen arobryn yn Ne Cymru sy'n canolbwyntio ar gynyddu symudedd cymdeithasol drwy addysg. Mae'r rôl hon yn gyfrifol am arwain cyfeiriad strategol a darparu rhaglen e-fentora ddwyieithog TMF (Together Making Futures), gan gefnogi pobl ifanc ddifreintiedig rhwng 14 a 19 oed ledled Cymru. Bydd y Rheolwr Prosiect yn cael ei gefnogi gan Gynorthwyydd Gweinyddol i gyflawni gweithrediadau'r rhaglen a chyfathrebu â rhanddeiliaid. Bydd hefyd yn helpu i gynnal a datblygu perthnasoedd â rhanddeiliaid, gan wella adnoddau'r rhaglen yn barhaus er mwyn sicrhau mentora effeithiol ac ymgysylltiad hirdymor.

Prif Gyfrifoldebau

• Cyfrannu at godi arian drwy ysgrifennu ceisiadau grant a datblygu strategaethau cynaliadwyedd.
• Arwain a rheoli'r rhaglen e-fentora, gan gynnwys cynllunio strategol, goruchwyliaeth ariannol, ac adrodd i'r ymddiriedolwyr a'r cyllidwyr.
• Goruchwylio a darparu sesiynau e-fentora, sgyrsiau Insight, rhaglen Future Routes, ac ehangu cyfleoedd profiad gwaith i fentoreion gyda chyflogwyr STEM lleol.
• Cynnal a datblygu perthnasoedd ag ysgolion, colegau, mentoriaid, mentoreion, partneriaid busnes, diwydiant a phrifysgolion.
• Rheoli cyfathrebu â rhanddeiliaid, gan gynnwys ymholiadau dydd i ddydd, ceisiadau gan y wasg, a chysylltiadau cyhoeddus.
• Cefnogi cofrestru mentoriaid a mentoreion, gwiriadau DBS, a rheoli'r gronfa ddata.
• Datblygu a chyflwyno themâu wythnosol, negeseuon ac adnoddau hyfforddi.
• Monitro a gwerthuso canlyniadau'r rhaglen, gan gynnwys casglu a dadansoddi data meintiol ac ansoddol.
• Cefnogi recriwtio ac ymgysylltu mentoriaid a mentoreion ochr yn ochr â'r Swyddog Twf ac Ymgysylltu.
• Datblygu presenoldeb TMF ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol a llwyfannau digidol ochr yn ochr â'r Cynorthwyydd Gweinyddol a Chyfathrebu.
• Sicrhau bod polisïau diogelu, iechyd a diogelwch, a chyfle cyfartal yn cael eu gweithredu.
• Trefnu cyfarfodydd yr ymddiriedolwyr, cydlynu pwyntiau gweithredu, a chynnal dogfennaeth y prosiect.
• Ymgymryd ag unrhyw ddyletswyddau rhesymol eraill i gefnogi cenhadaeth yr elusen.

Cymwysterau a Phrofiad Hanfodol

• TGAU (neu gymhwyster cyfatebol) mewn Mathemateg a Saesneg; Lefel A a gradd (neu gymhwyster cyfatebol).
