About the role

We’re looking for 2 Supporter Engagement Assistants with Customer Service experience to join our Central Supporter Engagement Team (CSET).

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Listen to our supporters and customers, understand their motivations and circumstances, and provide appropriate, professional and empathetic responses.  
• Respond to and resolve supporter and customer enquiries via phone, email, web chat and social media, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and drive income generation.  
• Provide practical and responsive support to fundraising teams, helping to facilitate smooth delivery of campaigns and activities, and enabling them to focus on optimising fundraising and increasing income.
• Contribute to the smooth running of supporter and fundraising operations by providing adaptable support across systems, processes, and day-to-day tasks, ensuring teams are equipped to deliver high-quality engagement and maximise income generation. 
• Support the resolution and recording of complaints and concerns, using feedback from interactions to identify issues, spot trends, and share insights to inform improvements.

• Confident communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport quickly

Jerry Green Dog Rescue is looking for an inspiring, self-motivated and target-driven Fundraising and Volunteer Manager who can hit the ground running. You will oversee Community Fundraising and Volunteering at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and will be instrumental in setting the future strategy for Community Fundraising from individuals, groups and corporates, as well as leading on the Volunteering strategy for across the charity.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Lead to run our Senior Group Session (ages14-18) at Oasis@Knights. This is an opportunity to run engaging and informative activities for young people aged 14-18 in the Lambeth area, inspiring them to reach their potential and to make a real difference to their community. The successful candidate will be responsible for running these sessions weekly, managing session staff, delivering engaging activities, attending occasional day trips, as well as responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

1. To lead the delivery of youth sessions at Knights Youth Centre (KYC) and facilitate youth provision in line with the ethos, values and vision of Oasis. 
2. To work and engage with young people (aged 14-18), by delivering planned sessions, activities and occasional trips.   
3. Deliver informal education opportunities and small group mentoring within the identified sessions and the wider community. 
4. To manage and coordinate KYC staff members whilst leading sessions.
5. Record all activity on our data management system. 
6. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with. 
7. Actively engage in the learning and professional development courses provided as part of this employment.

The successful post holder must have:

· Proven experience in leading youth work provision for young people aged 14-18.

· Experience of managing staff in a youth provision setting.

· An understanding of the challenges impacting young people in Lambeth – in particular education, employment, mental health and criminal exploitation.

· Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.

· Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience working with young people in challenging environments.

About Us

Grove Park Youth Club is an accessible and dedicated space for local children and young people, situated in a remarkable, purpose-built youth club building, constructed in 1966 as part of the Chinbrook Estate development. We are a registered charity (Ref No. 1196106) located on Marvels Lane in Grove Park (SE12 9PR), within the London Borough of Lewisham.

Our mission is to make Grove Park Youth Club a hub for local children and young people to learn, build connections, and explore and develop their interests. We provide a safe and welcoming space where young people can engage in fun and educational activities, sports and cultural activities, build life skills, as well as seek support with the pressures they face in the wider world.

The youth club is managed by a community-led Trust of people connected to the area who led a seven-year campaign to save and reopen the building. We are a small charity that has achieved exceptional success in reopening the youth club and taking control of this purpose-built space. This opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to play a key role in expanding our offer and working closely with the Trust to take our project forward. Accordingly, we offer a competitive rate of pay at £29.37 per hour.

GPYC Studios is our flagship in-house open access youth club launched in 2023, serving local children and young people aged 11–17 (up to 21 with SEND). Its ethos rests upon a creative approach to wellbeing, valuing empathy, acceptance, positivity, and growth. Our programming aims to spark curiosity and nurture self-discovery in a safe and inclusive environment. Through creativity, opportunity, and advocacy, we empower young people to make a positive impact on themselves, their community, and beyond.

GPYC Studios is made possible with funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

Job Role

The GPYC Studios Creative Wellbeing Lead will work in close collaboration with the Trust and report directly to the Chair. This multifaceted role includes responsibilities across team leadership, programme development, outreach and engagement, partnership management, and on-site delivery. In addition to this, the Lead will be expected to fill the role of Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO), for which training can be provided for.

Whilst the role has a considerable administrative element, it is key that the Creative Wellbeing Lead brings a strong sense of creativity, flexibility, and play to the space. Being present and physically facilitating fun and constructive interactions with young people is crucial.

The Creative Wellbeing Lead will be supported by a Creative Wellbeing Assistant (to be recruited in February 2026) in both organising and delivering the programme, alongside two Creative Wellbeing Practitioners who specialise in pastoral care, and a team of sessional youth workers.

This is a part-time position, working 10.5 hours per week at a rate of £29.37. The role includes regular on-site presence during our sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7 hours total). In addition, availability during standard working hours (Monday to Friday) is required to fulfil 3.5 hours of remote work. The role will commence in January 2026.

Contract type: Zero hours contract

Salary: £15,422 per annum based on a 50 week year (GPYC is closed for 2 weeks in Dec/Jan)
*NB. This equates pro rata, based on a 40 hour week, to an annual salary of £58,740

Rate: £29.37 per hour

Hours: 10.5 hours per week (7 hours on location at specified time, 3.5 hours remote work)

About You

The right candidate will be energetic and creative, with significant experience working with young people aged 11-17. You will be able to provide practical, physical, and emotional support to the children and young people attending GPYC Studios. You will be excited about our work and want to be part of the greater Grove Park Youth Club journey, leading by example and working as a team player to shape how our vision is delivered and realised. You will deliver the existing programme with drive, and be ambitious to lead the sustainable expansion of the GPYC Studios brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the administration, management, and operational delivery of our free, open-access youth club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, overseeing a team of youth workers and volunteers to achieve a shared vision

• Bring a strong sense of creativity, flexibility, and play to all aspects of delivery - being physically present, actively facilitating, and inspiring fun and constructive interactions with young people

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, manage, and complete tasks effectively, making full and efficient use of remote working hours

• Design and implement engaging, creative programming for children and young people, shaped by a strong creative vision and informed by youth voice

• Manage staffing logistics, including rotas, timekeeping, training, and staff motivation, ensuring a supportive and high-performing team environment

• Identify and engage potential community partners to coordinate and deliver fresh, fun, and creative opportunities

• Design and implement behaviour management strategies and safeguarding protocol

• Maintain accurate session documentation, including written records and photographic/videographic content, ensuring proper storage, organisation, and archiving of materials

• Oversee membership management, including onboarding new members, maintaining clear and consistent communication with parents and carers, and using IT systems, such as Salesforce, to manage and protect member data

• Lead outreach and engagement efforts within the local community and beyond, including through social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and others to build visibility and connection

• Embed a consistent ethos across all creative delivery partners, ensuring the values of GPYC and the Trust are clearly reflected in how children and young people experience Studios sessions, the space, and staff interactions

• Be a consistent, positive presence for children and young people, fostering an environment that is enriching, inclusive, and grounded in mutual respect

Purpose of the Job

Key Responsibilities

Employer recruitment and income generation

• Work closely with the Employer Engagement Manager to develop and implement an employer engagement strategy, integrating both local and national approaches.

• Support the development of employer sponsorship proposals, creating a menu of different engagement levels to meet income targets

• Work with the Employer Engagement Manager and the wider Corporate Partnerships Team to collaborate on UK Youth fundraising opportunities and integrate our employer ask into our wider corporate partnerships offer

• Track, monitor and report confirmed placements in specified locations.

• Input to feedback for programme funder, the Youth Endowment Fund, on corporate partnership opportunities

• Identify and engage with regional and localised contacts to assist in sourcing placements (e.g. local business networks).

• Accurately record programme donation contributions

Employer training and management

• Manage relationships with a cohort of employers throughout the programme, including:

• Securing their commitment to provide placements and funding in agreement with the programme’s terms of reference

• Ensuring they have the information and tools to succeed within the programme.

• Act as the primary point of contact at UK Youth.

Key Internal Relationships

• Collaborate closely with The Summer Jobs Project Manager to:

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of approach and information.

• Support Local Delivery Partners to build relationships with employers.

• Attend one to one meetings and appraisals with the Employer Engagement Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reports to: Community Leader
Hours of work: 15 hours per week
Salary: £29,128 FTE. Pro-rated salary is £11,651.40 based on 15 hours per week
Place of work: L’Arche London, West Norwood, South London
Contract type: Fixed term for 1 year (potential to be extended). Part-time.

You may have experience in the following roles: Community Life and Engagement Coordinator, Community Inclusion and Programmes Lead or Engagement and Inclusion Officer etc.

Main purpose of the role:

As a Community Connector, you will:

• Help strengthen relationships, promote a sense of belonging, and support the vibrant life of our community.
• Oversee and lead an inclusive and accessible programme of core traditions and celebrations throughout the year in L’Arche London.
• Keep our community and partners engaged with community life through excellent communication, both internally and externally, via channels such as social media and internal newsletters.
• Have ample opportunities to engage, reflect, and be part of community life.
• Furthermore, this role is vital for supporting our valued and appreciated Live-in Community Worker, helping guide and mentor them throughout their year with us in L’Arche London.
