Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting people? Tearfund is looking for a People Services Officer to join our People Team to help deliver high-quality HR and Recruitment services across the organisation.
What you'll do:
- Be the first point of contact for HR and recruitment enquiries, providing clear guidance and support to staff.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including advertising, shortlisting, assessments, interviews, pre-employment checks, and employment contracts.
- Support payroll and HR system processes, ensuring information is accurate and deadlines are met.
- Train and guide colleagues on HR and recruitment systems, helping them use tools effectively.
- Maintain HR and recruitment records, systems, and reports to keep processes running smoothly.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvements, helping the team work more efficiently.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, working closely with colleagues across the UK and global teams.
What we're looking for:
- Proven administrative skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting HR activities, including recruitment and selection.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using HR or recruitment systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and the ability to prioritise effectively.

Hybrid Working: This role offers hybrid working. You'll work from Tearfund's Teddington office and from home, as agreed with your line manager.
Please note: This is a fulltime, 1 year fixed term contract.

Close collaboration with colleagues across the Trust is essential, working with communication, engagement, reserve and visitor services colleagues to promote events, and a growing programme of wildlife-themed festivals and wildlife watching experiences.
You will have experience of planning and delivering strategy to reach different audiences through channels, as well as creating or commissioning content that reaches audiences with impact. You will have an ability and interest in using analytics to help bring continuous learning and improvement to our activity.
