WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation.
Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers.
Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams.
You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations.
You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France.
An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids.
You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations.
You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors.
Occasional trips to France.
Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead our fundraising strategy and team to secure significant, multi-year income from corporates, trusts and foundations, and major donors. You’ll be responsible for expanding our funding base, deepening key relationships, and ensuring STEM Learning has the partnerships and resources to achieve its ambitious mission.
Key priorities include:
- Driving new funder engagement and positioning STEM Learning as a trusted, high-impact partner delivering measurable social value.
- Building and maintaining a strong, diverse, pipeline of six plus figure partnerships.
- Securing sustainable, multi-year income across a balanced portfolio of corporate, trusts, and major donor relationships.
- Leading, motivating, and developing the fundraising team.
- Collaborating across the organisation to align funding proposals with STEM Learning’s strategic priorities and ensure exceptional programme delivery and stewardship.
- Contributing to organisational strategy improvements as a member of the Senior Management Team.

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven leader who will take ownership for identifying opportunities for new funds and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy of STEM Learning. You’ll have:
- A strong track record of securing significant income from corporates, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
- The confidence and gravitas to engage senior stakeholders, trustees, and C-suite decision-makers and must be comfortable ‘making the ask’. You will be required to develop external relationships with institutional investors and High Net Worth individuals, and you may already have an existing range of investor contacts.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative, values-driven approach. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the organisation and its strategic priorities to achieve our goals.
- Experience leading and empowering teams to achieve shared goals and maintain momentum.
- Creativity, resilience, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for/understanding of the power of STEM education and enrichment is desirable.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a five-strong team, the Head of Fundraising will shape and deliver the long-term fundraising strategy, strengthen the organisation's positioning as a trusted, high-impact partner, and drive sustainable, multi-year income growth that enables transformational change.
As Head of Fundraising, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of a high-level fundraising strategy, securing multi-year six-figure+ partnerships across corporates, trusts, foundations, major donors and HNWIs
- Manage, develop and inspire a team of 5 direct reports (responsibility for 7), fostering a proactive, collaborative and high-performing culture
- Engage senior stakeholders including the CEO, Chair, Trustees and senior partners to unlock networks and open opportunities
- Represent the organisation at senior-level networking events, conferences and sector forums, influencing decision-makers and strengthening brand positioning
Essential skills and experience:
- A strategic, senior-level fundraiser with a proven track record delivering six-figure, multi-year partnerships from corporates. Experience across trusts, foundations, and/or major donors highly desirable
- A proactive new business mindset, with eagerness to meet with donors and attend events
- Strategic leadership experience, with proven ability to motivate and develop fundraising teams
- An experienced relationship-builder who has used confidence and gravitas to engage CEOs, trustees, C-suite leaders and high-net-worth individuals — and successfuly make compelling asks
